- A huge shoutout to AWE for working with me and allowing me to test their AWE Catback ahead of time. This truly is the best sounding exhaust I have heard for this new platform and the FA24. Combines the deep throaty sound of the Boxer engine with a sporty equal length header note, and the 180 technology virtually eliminates any drone!
There is so much more to come so please subscribe and like the video! I am so excited to keep doing this and getting better at content creation!

Great video!!
Sounds Amazing!!
I just installed the R400 on my 22
It does sound pretty good
I do like the size and the way they bend those pipes.
Nice man!
🙌🔥
Yo Josh nice video! Your in Fresno right? Meet you at scca autocross last time.
Thats right! Nice meeting you!
Thank your for the advice on the not letting the exhaust hang otherwise it could look saggy. QQ - is this only the catback? What other exhaust / mods were on when you filmed this? Sounds really good!! Specifically at the 9:22 mark!
Thank you so much! No other mods exhaust wise!
So, I see you did a brembo swap all around but I don't see a video of the install on your channel. Are those the 2018 6-pot brembos? Did you run into any other issues that would be different from a 2015 - 2021 swap? I think that one would be helpful for anyone else with a 2022+. Good content brother!
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! The video will come within a month or so with an update on the brake spacers. They are 18-21 STI 6 pot Brembos. The install shouldn’t differ from the previous years. Thanks so much! Just getting started so I’m excited to see where this goes!
I'm totally trolling this AWE launch! Great video! I have their system on my VA. This sounds really good. How was the fitment? Was the best on the VA.
any leaks with your VA? I'm trying to decide between this and the r400
@@cusumano91 No sir. Opposite actually, installer said it fit like a glove, one of the best hes seen. They offer a fit guarantee i think.
I just installed a ETS muffled exhaust on mine, I’m questioning myself because I didn’t see a factory gasket going to the stock mufflers from that Y pipe for that connection. But looks like there just isn’t one, which is surprising haha regardless my connection looked nice n flush so I know we good I’m just puzzled why there isn’t one stock I suppose
Sounds good! Is this with stock or down pipe and manifold?
Stock Downpipe!
Is KW already made suspension for vb?
Hey, I have a couple questions if you have a sec. How much louder is this exhaust on cold starts compared to stock, and does it eliminate the bass frequencies/ drone at the 1500 rpm range from stock? Because that's honestly my least fav part of this car at the moment, and I don't want to make it louder, but if this was reasonable I would go for it. Thanks!
Same here. The drone for the first 2 minutes on my stock exhaust just rattles my eardrums if I have a door or window open.
Sorry I am just now getting to this. It did do that for me. The car drones a bit by nature due to its design, but I feel adding the touring exhaust helped with the sound portion of it. Not completely eliminated as I feel that has more to do with the mounts and design of the car.
I agree, the warm up high idle is obnoxious in these cars.
Hey man, never installed an exhaust myself, what would be the fix or solution if I were to have leaks? Just check the joint and try to get it tighter or what exactly?
Easy tell tale is to get underneath the car with it idling, you can feel around the joints and identify leaks that way. typically loosening the connection, making sure everything is alligned properly and then tightening the joints should do the trick! Depending on the exhaust and it's style of joints you may need to modify this procedure a little.
What BOV do you have? I’m hearing a clean whhooossshhh between shifts lol
It’s the TurboXS Dual Port! It‘s a very exhilarating sound!
@@Hapawerks thank for the reply. Yes it really is. What air intake do you have your eye on the most? Maybe it’s your mic set up but I feel like I can already hear your turbo spool on the stock box
Ok now come modify my sprinter lol 😂
I can come put a wing on your sprinter ;)
not really liking the tone myself.. raspy
That's all FA engines. EJ is the only way
