HOW TO INSTALL STI BREMBO BRAKES ON YOUR 2022/2023 SUBARU WRX

- Hey everyone!
I have been taking a short break since making some rather large life choices and have been enjoying some off time. I recently found some time to put together this video for you. This is how I installed the infamous 6 pot STI Brembo Brake swap on my 2022 WRX. It is not a simple bolt on, but with the right parts, it's also not a difficult install.

I just finished mine. I went with custom rotors to fit 4 pots
Who makes the rotors?
@@MrGsxrme paragon brakes.. ask for a custom hat with inner height of 37.5mm to fit Sti brembo on 22 wrx.
You could use the ascent front rotor they fit perfectly
I was told they might fit for the 4 pot STI Setup with Pad overhang. This was just my version/design of the install.

The calibers bolt up to the VB mounting brackets? What year are the calipers, etc. from?
I believe I mentioned it in the video, however these are from a 18-21 STI for the 6/2 pots

Do you know if these brakes will clear the factory 17” base model WRX wheels?
I am not sure about the base model rims, however they clear the limited wheels.
Stupid question here… does the rotor space effect wheel offset?
It does! By 7.5mm. So For example a +45mm wheel would sit like a +37.5mm. I have ran a +40 and +45 wheel with no problems, and also confirmed that the OEM wheels fit with this setup as well!
what kind of suspension do you have installed on that WRX? And how does it ride?
KW V3 coilovers with custom sway bar end links!
Incredible ride. Not sure you can get better than how these ride.
@@Hapawerks that’s what I thought. :-) I know KW makes one of the best suspensions out there. I had Fortune auto 500, people rave How good those are but they were not very comfortable. The handled well and that’s about it. For my next set up that’s what I’m going to get as well. I’ve heard nothing but good things about KW‘s, especially with the dual Spring set up. The car handles great and it’s very comfortable and that’s what it’s all about for a daily. Unless you only track the car and trailer it to and from every event and don’t drive a daily.

Will it fit with standard 17 Wheels?
With this setup yes, the OEM 17" Wheels fit over the 6 pot sti brakes. Mainly due to the rotor spacer!
