100% I had to do the same to get away from the girl that we were both toxic for each other. Not in a way where we fought all the time, but we were both holding each other back in how we both wanted to grow in different directions. Finally broke up with her and held my ground. Purposely stayed single for like a year. Then a few months after I started dating again, I met the woman who would be my wife, been happily married for 13 years now.
Anytime I get in a fight with my husband I watch one of these episodes and thank God for my life and apologize bc this is a SIIIIICKNEESSSSS

It's crazy to me how people can sit there smiling and giggling about how they cheated like it's cute, and in front of the person they did it to. Have some shame, and to the person they cheated on, have some self respect and get them out of your life.
Edit:. Some people are saying it's nervous laughter, and I get that. I laugh nervously in awkward situations too. The thing is that cheating is looked down upon because it hurts people, and you can tell the people in the video were hurt by what the cheaters did. So what gets me isn't just the laughter, it's the complete lack of remorse or empathy. Forget romance, these people aren't even worth being friends with. The people in the video who were cheated on should be ghosting these clowns.

Well, usually, those in open relationships stem from either one or both (Sometimes multiple) individuals coming to a point of insecurity that they've accepted monogamy is unrealistic for their future relationships. And, they'll get theirs before, during & after their relationship(s) ends; regardless of how anyone feels, because they no longer trust anyone at that point.
Hence, stemming from a place of insecurity. Like, I know there's compromise in a relationship, but if I'm in an open relationship, no woman is allowed to tell me I can't fuck this or that girl, because she feels insecure when she sees us together. Why? Simple... That's bullshit.

You mentioned those two that lived together not being friends with complications, but instead just complications. It reminded me of my neighbors at my last house.
So get this, my neighbors at my last house was a guy and his wife, their two little kids, the wife’s ex-husband, and her and the exes son. All under the same roof. They all got along well together and they wanted her ex-husband to be there to raise their son under the same roof, and honestly they all seemed to make it work somehow. Didn’t make it any less weird, but it seemed to work. I don’t know how the situation was before they all moved in together, as they were already living there when I moved in. I never heard any arguing and the husband and ex-husband stayed in their own lanes as far as I could tell.
Once the son was in high school his dad, the ex-husband, had a steady girlfriend and would stay at her place sometimes since their son was nearly an adult at that point. Then once the son graduated the ex-husband and his now fiancé got a place together, so then it was just the wife, her husband, and their two little kids in the house. Quite a unique, potentially complicated situation, but they made it work for the sake of their son until he went off to college.

He stopped partying. Got serious at work and here we our. We've been together 26 years in February. In July we'll have been married 24 years Happily Married. It can work if your communication is on points.
