April 16, 1995 - Rodney Rogers delivered one of the dunks of the year for 2 of his 31 points during Denver's overtime contest against the San Antonio Spurs on Easter Sunday.
He was on a 4 wheeler. Unfortunately paralyzed from the neck down. His accident and a friend being killed on a motorcycle almost 20 years ago made me stop riding bikes. Even though I didn’t ride bikes very often. Def was never #bikelife but I did ride from time to time.
rodney di a tomahawk jam from the top of the key the ball hit the backof the rim and he came skying over the middle and just slammed it over everyone, saturday game and i was damn, even the crowd was like wow! one those dunks you never forget. it's a shame he was hurt and crippled for the rest of his life in that accident. god bless him. he's living a real tough life.
Fuckin' Saga! And one week later these 2 teams met in the first round of the playoffs! The Spurs proceeded to reach the Conference FInals where Olajuwon shook the Admiral off the playoffs and nailed his 2nd consecutive ring!
I always loved when Snapper Jones was making a point then something big like that happened and he would interrupt his thought. "The shot goes up...OOOOH"
Jalen Rose got a T for overreacting to a call. The Spurs won 112-109 and were 7-1 overall vs Denver that season (losing the first and winning the next seven). Robinson scored 42. Rogers scored 31 for the Nuggets.
Cool...yeah i already watched ur upload of d admiral... men he was nasty...dt means hammonds dunks on d admiral where in d other home game agnst d spurs...he had two i think....thot it was ds one cos of rodmans hair color :)
Nobody can dunk like this today, and everybody could dunk like this in the 90s... I mean, bend the rim put power in the thrust and not just touch the rim. Who bends the rim today? RIMROCKA!!!!
Westbrook is one of the hardest dunkers in the history of the NBA. Everybody moves out of the way when Lebron goes flying. Except that one white guy on the spurs that blocked him in the finals
Unfortunatelly Rogers is unable to walk today cause of a car accident. How sad! Be strong Rodney! You made history at college and NBA
Rafael Fonseca awwwwww❤😢
Actually he was paralyzed in a ATV accident.
It was dirt bike accident. Not car.
@@TommieGun71 chest down i think.

My favorite team ever. Abdul Rauf, Robert PACK, Dale Ellis, Rodney Rodgers, Laphonso Ellis!!!!! Oh man. So many memories
Those Nuggets were one of the few teams that beat the Bulls during their championship reign.
I also remember Rogers from the high school dunk contest. Dude was a beast. Stay strong RR!
Ok, 19.5..2024 . This power dunk is still in top 3 ingame POWER DUNKS of all time. Love you Rodney, remember watching you play from east Europe. Hugs
I've commented on this before... but still, the best power tip slam ever. Just love the crowds "Ohhh" on the replay!
I’m glad a legend is under my name
Forgot about this one of my favorite players inside outside game for days
I Remember this Monster Dunk !!!! Just amazing !!!
Quiet respect from Rodman
HOLY SHIATTTTTTTTTTTTTT
I still remember this dunk clearly 25 years later. Likely in the top 10 for that decade

With the rebound throwdown!
did anyone notice the other player jumping and the coach yank him towards him and told him something. during the timeout
+mel baez That's actually rookie Jalen Rose, who was assessed a technical foul for his demonstrative response to a foul call along the sideline.
Still one of the hardest dunks ever... take note Zion... 🏀🇬🇧
bless this dude
I always loved when Snapper Jones was making a point then something big like that happened and he would interrupt his thought. "The shot goes up...OOOOH"
watching this on easter Sunday april 16th 2017
This guy reminds me of Zion at Duke. Lefties heavily muscled high jumpers. Im sure Zion will do more but Rodney was exciting.
My thoughts exactly. I feel bad for Zion I think the media overhyping him will not help.
@@DavidTorres-zp1ef he's doing just fine
more dunks from rogers please!
Oh my goodness
at least he can watch these great highlights.
i dont think he wants to see these highlights

he never thought that one day he wouldnt walk anymore
Rodman was like "Damn I'm gonna get benched for that shit"
R.I.P.
Jonah Ruffner he’s not dead, genius. Smh.
Dude would’ve been good in today’s NBA too, could shoot 3’s and defend
Old zion williamson
wow typical Jalen Rose haha
My grandfather buys stuff from him he has dope ass house too
The original zion
Was a bad dude. Loved him as a kid at Wake
I will never forgive Bickerstaff for trading him!
Zion?
very under rated
the original Zion Williamson

Did you drop out of 1st grade? Your spelling is whack.
rodman should have gotten the board haha
Was the coach mad at Jalen Rose after that dunk?? Watch how the coach grabs jalen after the time out

This was Zion before Zion
there was a Julius Randle before Julius Rande
Same body zion williams
I know him in real life
cool i wish i met him
Not many people care.
