Thanks for the video. I followed it and got good results. I just have an issue with the looper. It might be my bad timing but I can't seem to get a smooth loop. The down beat note usually gets cut off or there is a short moment of silence after every loop restarts. I don't have this issue with my ditto looper.

Very useful video...do u know if there is any chance to set 2 foot switch to move forward and backward through the rigs (i.e. through rigs included in one setlist)?

Thanks, glad it helped! Yes, you can indeed use it while it is charging via USB-c charging port. I've also used it in the past during rehearsals with a powerbank too!

Great video. How do you get the blue light stop blinking?. Cheers.

Hello! Thanks for checking the video out!
Every time the m-vave device is switched on, it automatically forced into bluetooth 'pairing mode' until it registers a connection to a device/pc using the cubesuite which stops the blinking. As far as I'm aware, unfortunately, there is no way to stop it blinking if disconnected from the Bluetooth and cubesuit app.
A bit counterintuitive and irritating? Possibly. I wonder how this may impact overall battery life. As most users will probably disconnect from the app after they have made all their switch configurations. For me personally, the battery does last quite long with the blinking. I've tested it while gigging/rehearsing, sometimes 5-6 hour long sets with no problem. I think the company advertises 12 hours of use per charge.
Maybe worth raising a ticket with m-vave support team so they may include a fix for a future patch update! I will do the same :) Hope that helps.

Hello, friends. I have a problem with the HeadRush and M-vave cable connection. Tell me what the cable should be. Will AUX work?

    • @JamForThought
      @JamForThought  Před rokem +1

Hey! Yes, a stereo aux cable (with two rings) can also work. Although for one end you will need to use a 3.5mm to 6.3mm trs adapter which will go into the trs jack of the m-vave device, aux end will go in to 'MIDI IN' port of your MX5.

Strange. I'm connecting as you said. But it doesn't work. Do I need to change something in the application?

Hey man! Thanks a lot for the detailed video - very helpful. Can you please explain just one thing if possible? How to setup midi for the looper control? Means your setup on the video when 2 lefts controls blocks/presets and 2 right works just for looper? Would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
PS: We also can use Instagram for the PM. I’m with the same nick there - liapin. And I’ll try to contact to you too. Thanks again!

      Hey bro! :)
Yes, using 'advanced custom mode' on cubesuite, the first two switches A and B are PC (program changes) on M-VAVE and assigned to presets using 'single step switch between two banks'. 2 on each switch so a total of 4, a bit like alternating between scenes mode and rig mode These allow you switch between just your rigs on MX5 and not singular blocks which require a CC change (I will upload a separate video for that at some point soon).
      Looper setup:
Switch C and D are used for this.
Switch C controls the playback (starts/stops recorded loop) with single step. Peels loop layer with long press step.
CC Mapping in 'step short or step long mode':
For Bank A to start/play loop-
Channel1 (or whatever channel is set on your MX5)
      CC data1: 69 data2: 0
      CC data1: 69 data2: 127
      For Bank B to peel:
      Channel 1
      CC data1: 72 data2: 127
      CC data1: 72 data2: 0
Switch D, records and overdubs your loop with single step. Additional functionality can be added in long step from headrush mx 5 manual which is up to you, I personally like to add the reverse loop effect.
CC mapping in 'step short or step long mode:
For Bank A to record/overdub loop:
      Channel 1
      CC data1: 70 data2: 127
      CC data1: 70 data2: 0
For Bank B to reverse loop :
      Channel 1
      CC data1: 74 data2: 127
Long pressing switch again turns loop from reversed state to normal again, vice versa etc.
Hope that helps dude! I've sent you message on Instagram too. Feel free to message me there if you have questions!

is program change (pc) to change preset?

    • @JamForThought
      @JamForThought  Před rokem +1

Yes! Precisely, PC refers to any preset/rig level. CC are lower level parameters within. Hope that makes sense! I will be making a video soon on how to expand scenes mode (usually limited to 3)with the M-VAVE.
