Glad you think what I did wasn’t ~too~ bad. Sorry about the slightly misleading title, when a video takes 20-40 hours to make it needs to grab the attention of the audiences so this really is the only way to go. Unfortunately the title you suggested would get a fraction of the clicks

@@nickstarlingch Unfortunately clickbait is part of CZcams. It gets people to click on the channel and helps them grow. And we want the OC Racing commuity to grow, right? His quality of content is top notch, but people won't know that unless they actually watch the video and the clickbait helps with that.
And this clickbait wasn't that bad, at least there is some relevancy to the actual video.

Bit of a click baity title, because that's not going to get a ban, it's the first corner of the first week of heavy rain, this is expected, and anyway I've done exactly this in the dry.
But! This is precisely how races should be edited by real motorsports broadcasts, alongside the plain old here it all is live. But they need to get some goddam storytelling editors that have a sense of how to pull it all together, the various POVs and camera positions, heightened filter effects and music, with narration that is telling a story.
Were I to have the choice between watching a live-edit version vs a polished edit of all the stories in a race, I'd go for the latter. There is also so much more motorsports media could do to engage its viewers, by both educating them about driving at the limit and giving them more opportunities to get behind the wheel anywhere whether its sim, karting, taking your own car to a track, etc. There's such potential for crossover.

Also what cockpit would you say is well suited for a r5? Im thinking about the gtracer or building one myself. The tjkng i dont like about the gtracer is the wobbly shifter/handbrake mount so a aluminum rig would be nice aswell, but just a little too expensive.
Also would you rather first upgrade your wheel/pedals/shifter etc or the Cockpit?

Yeah, aluminum profile rigs are fairly pricey, companies like 6Sigma Sim Racing make a few at a good price point but I would only recommend if you’re in Canada or the States. The GTRacer is good for the price but you’ll certainly want to upgrade in the future. As per first upgrades, I would always recommend the pedals. That said, if you’re on a desk, you’ll need to get a good mounting solution beforehand.

In my opinion there is some relevancy as the first incident could be seen as a ban-able offense but I see where you’re coming from.
@OCRacing yeah I get it as a shortterm gain. But long-term people will catch on and not bother clicking the video as they know the title to not be true. Just a thought.

I race in iRacing, I got a week ban once (nothing malicious, just a stupid rule misunderstanding). That incident would never get even a week suspension IMO and experience. Without even watching all of the video I can already tell you need to do some research and learn what a wet line and a dry line are and why you avoid a dry line during a wet race... And your overly aggressive, and you've admitted at the beginning you didn't know what you were doing. Rain in iRacing is no joke. It's not perfect, but it's the most realistic I have ever experienced in a sim.
Oh 100%, racing in the rain is a completely different ball game that I’m not very familiar with
I've been a subscriber for almost 2 years now but if the clickbait continues, I'm out. Everyone including Oscar knows he's not getting banned for the T1 incident. This channel was one of the best in sim racing, but it's going downhill. I get it's what he feels he has to do to keep up with the algorithm, but big channels have avoided the click bait and done very well. I was hoping Oscar would do the same but sadly that doesn't appear to be the case.
I thought I'd give iracing a try, got a 3 month subscription.. 1 month in, and I have uninstalled it. ACC,, AMS 2 and Le mans ultimate is where I am staying. Apart from paying a subscription plus cars n tracks being a horrible idea, I looked past that to see what it is like. Well, outdated graphics, some cars don't drive properly, dive bombing idiots everywhere making it a nightmare to escape from rookie class. Ui is horrible and confusing. I have hated my time with it. Wish I didn't waste this last month with it, but at least I know to stay away from it.

Not had a iracing susbscription now for over 2yrs and reqlly not that bothered. I had a short membership period after an entry offer but my GPU blew and the only. Ard I had available would have meant being a blinker non stop till about 7 months later I got a reasonable but still a little bit above rrp 3070Ti 6 months after taht was at ghe point of upgrading my cpu and the 3070Ti was still a good price but I hated the 8gb memory so when I upgraded to Ryzen 9 5950xt decided on upgrading the GPU as well ended with an RX 6950XT so can run i racing really really easy but their attitude re buying content but still needing to sub has left a taste I can only ever view them as a scam company who deserve only contempt during lockdows they could have supported the players offered good deals for one or two year memberships not the poxy ones they do during black friday and gained customer loyalty for mnay years ahead.
Come on this company wont even allow single player access to content you purchased not even a coiple of cars and say 3 tracks so you can continue to practise, and also they would hope stay hooked add in the way they can ban you albeit if you do something wrong nope glad I am away from it before I spent too much.
