Hey OC, GT4 is still there, you probably just saw the series page during week 13 which has completely different ones. GT4 is at Charlotte roval this week and has a full calendar for this season.
Yes, and it is still very populated, I usually have between 70 to 150 participants depending in the time of day.
Your iRacing series is the only thing that got me to put up with the game and play it 💀

Great video as always, also that start was still better than most of mine 😅 also I think it would be fun to see you try some dirt racing sometime. Any type would be pretty fun (sprints are the best though)
You should check out the Formula 3.5 once you get your safety rating up. Also, speaking of safety rating. Try some Production Car Sim-Lab Challenge for an easy safety rating gain. (as long as you don't try and race and just stay clean). With all the different classes you usually end up away from your own class and out of trouble. It let me gain a ton of safety rating. And then I go and lose some when I race the FR3.5.
By the way, if you press ctrl + f12 with the first person camera in replay mode you can tweak the camera position to get your steering wheel lined up better with the display 👍
I really liked the headcamera. Gives a nice impression of what you are seeing.

My suggestion for buying all of the content for iRacing is very simple, buy 3 or 6 items a week, every two weeks, or once a month. I do have all of the content but that has been because I have been in iRacing for 13 years now. Back ten or twelve years ago when they brought in multi-class racing, you had to own all of the content being used. An example is if you owned the Ford GT and were racing that car, then you had to own the HPD-ARX-1c as well since it was racing at the same time. So a lot of us that have all of the content HAD to buy the content just to race a series that we wanted to race.
I can feel you, Waiting for the race to get over asap. I can't imagine racing 30 mins straight. I go for 10 mins mostly
It might make a ton of difference but all the legacy cars can be taken out the cart I think there are tracks also not used anymore. Maybe you'll save a couple hundred

Hey OC, I dont wanna sound like a backseat gamer or something like that but it really is a beginner mistake to go into races without practice. I know it seems very exciting to go racing as fast as possible but that does not help you if you dont know how to be fast on a circuit / in a car. If you practice even a little bit more, like 15 minutes before the race, your results will be much better. And it is very important to focus on one car class because they all behave very differently and if you swich between cars very often without practice your results wont improove

damn, that is literally 7k+ bucks for me, who tf will spend that just for tracks and cars that you can easily get for free (even though it's little """""unrealistic""""" compared to iracing "physics & stuff", it's just better for me).

It’s not fair to call it a total rip off, there are other sims out there and no one is forcing anyone to pay and there is plenty of information out there to give a new user a good idea of what it costs.
What Iracing does offer is well organised, regular racing in a variety of cars with skill based match making resulting in racing against people with a similar skill level.
Having tried all the sims, I personally think Iracing offers good value, but I can understand if you prefer other choices.

As a hint for iracing: never go into a race unprepared. This missed Start could have caused a major incident and this might give you a ban as it would clearly have been your fault. Also, read the race Info 😅

I'd really like to try out iRacing, but I'm really not willing to invest hundreds of euros to a game that I have no idea of how it even works. I've tried to find information of what you can race in with just the subscription fee (so basically for free) after the rookie series, but I haven't managed to find any info.

when you are in battle, saying the guy in front is braking early is the weakest of excuses. you cannot brake at the same point when following and you have to learn their style. you're not faster than them at that point in the race - you're behind them for a long time. nothing against you but it's just the worst excuse for hitting people even by accident. you're blaming him for you hitting him.

Can anyone tell me the difference between assetto Corsa and assetto Corsa competizione
Assetto corsa is a all cars, all tracks, mods, drift, rally, F1 is a all driving simulator.
Compettizione is only GT cars and no mods no drift no anything, it's only for "serious" racing.
You can get assetto corsa for 5 euro, buy the version with all the dlc, the basic version is not worth it. then there is "Low fuel motorsport " which is a web that organizes competitive races for AC similar to iracing

@@OCRacing low down force v8 rwd. Tricky to drive and go about 300km/h. They are a good match with mt panorama/Bathurst.
Might want to look at changing the FFB settings, you keep clipping out constantly with the current setup 🙃

Looks like it. Braking in these cars is tricky since they don't have ABS so it's something I was definitely still getting used to.
@@OCRacing Decenr race nonetheless! I recommend if you're looking to get into Formula/open wheelers, start at the bottom to work up to more power. F4 is a fun car and shorter races, also the new Formula Ford is much more fun than the Vee and would be good if you wanted to start from the very beginning

Dude what you doing with that camera view... Move the camera forward and up. The wheel column should hardly be visible and should be lining up to your wheel.
