I found this channel about 3 weeks ago and binged watched all the videos up to the most recent. This is my first video I'm watching that I've patiently been waiting for! Love the content Sam! Go Bolts!

Audi/VW was never great. My sister's 03 VW Jetta had a booster on the brake pedal go bad......... it required a special tool that had no use in life other than removing one piece in the brake assembly hence a very costly repair. The car in the video was very expensive to purchase yet was easily totaled with minor damage. What does that say? Audi hold's it's value like spaghetti holding water in a strainer. One of my best friends bought a high end Audi that was only a couple years old for a steal, he soon figured out why it was such a good price...... the maintenance was a nightmare and he had to sell it at almost nothing. A brand new Audi is more than likely a masterpiece to drive, however to keep one for a while is futile.

@@Psittac20 Specialty tools are so common among manufacturers that you can rent them at auto zone. Tools just like the one you're talking about. It's not just Audi. I'm talking Chevy and Toyota level regular cars.

This is an amazing series! Especially for people like me who don't know anything about getting cars from auctions. I love the fact that you go through the whole process of showing before and after on the auction and real life.

I really love cars, but i remember the times when i used to clean my car every week. then every month, and now i just clean it when i have really nothing to do or it is really dirty... i guess its kinda the same thing. Like High Watch said. Im older now, the the hype is kinda gone. but the love is still there.

God I’m jealous of you lol, I just bought an A7 from iaai auction not too long ago, it’s getting painted right now, then I need and alignment and to restitch the front seat and I’m good, by the way if you need your seatbelts fixed, look up safety restore, it’s 44$ for single stage seatbelts and 70$ for dual stage(front are dual stage on Audi’s back are single) they did 4 of my A7s seatbelts and now they work like new, good luck on the car, I hope to get one in the near future too!
Really what does it take to fix them? What small part or spring? Or tool to keep the tension? If electric what fuse or relay to replace? I guess the price is good enough to not have to fix yourself, leave it to someone who does it professionally. Save time and headaches of trial n error.
L&M Daskievige well when I bough it it was just the quarter panel that looked hit but when it got home I noticed that it also had suspension damage, the left wheel was about 2 inches from where it should be, I had to replace the whole suspension frame and the left wheel assembly, and the quarter panel top of course
L&M Daskievige I'm pretty sure they're electric. I know the A7 has an option to turn off the seatbelt tensioner in the mmi screen.
How much did you pay for it? was it an rs7 also?

I ALWAYS recommend viewing the car in person if you can. start it up and see if it can drive a few feet. Can save you a lot of anxiety when buying online.

First thing I noticed HRE. That is a steal of a deal, clear protection too. Last owner didn't cut expenses on it. Swap them for standard wheel and cash and he might reduce in half the expenses.

I got a eg hatch at a junk yard for 200 and i spend like 200-500 to fix it the best part is that is standard and had only 84k miles with a 1.5l vtec love the will never sell it was my first car at 16 amd im still driving it and im 25

Dude this gonna be amazing, I'm mechanic and its so satisfying to watch your videos!!! Just a hint: some cars is good to change the airbag module after a crash, bcause theres a potentiometer inside that could be damaged, and u need a good obd reader too to configure and erase the codes - greetings from brazil mate
