More common than you think. I had a car that I parked and it got smashed, insurance claimed it. The rebuilder called me asking for the car alarm keychain. I told them to f off.

For everyone wondering about the Focus RS, I'm waiting for frame work to be done. Shop is weeks out! We'll continue to finish the RS7, then once the frame work is done on the RS we'll knock it out!

That's a different car. He used that picture to show the carbon fiber on the front since i assume the sales photos didn't show the front bumper. You can even see the sales photos when he's scrolling through the forum post doesn't show the quattro on the grill.

That's not one of the owner's photos. That image comes up when you search for what he just said as he was showing that photo "rs7 carbon optics". @@davrodwatto4090 He did talk about it, but he said he wasn't sure if the grille had been swapped. Then 2 minutes later he mentions he found photos from the original owner's post trying to sell the car, and the car is shown with that Quattro grille. But I don't believe it's the same car.

The picture at 14:17 has Quattro on the ftont which means that it is the same at that TAG used. That’s mad!!
No the picture at 14:17 was of another car he used to show the carbon fibre package. if you look at the pictures in the original sale ad (www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/765914-2014-Daytona-Gray-RS7) the car never had the quardro grill.
I would definitely keep this car when it’s done.

I had this happen once, too! I was looking for some parts for the 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo that I had and stumbled across a FS thread on, of all things, a BMW forum. It had all the work done to the car, nice pics, etc...TONS of stuff I didn't know was done to my car! It was SO COOL to see it then. It was gorgeous.

That was the same car, if you look in the dyno footage the license plate has the flag on it. Which is identical to the picture at 11:59

anyone know if the tint on the taillights is a spray tint or just tinted vinyl wrap??
The tails that were salvaged with the car are tinted with window tint. The ones that were on the car were professionally sprayed and I kept them. Night and day difference in person. Professional spray is the way to go.

*once you get that car completely restored i would encourage you to get tha Xpel re-done a LOT of hihg end and super car owners swear by that coating and it's saved a lot of cars having to be re-painted on many an occasion too*

I tell you what I love. For a car to have a story like this it usually needs to see its 25th birthday. This car is only a few years old and it’s already got a story to tell. Amazing.

Gotta say, it's a tiny world lol, I'm glad you found out alot of the history on the audi, it goes a long way with the piece of mind whilest owning and driving it, it's been 4 years owning my 91 4WS prelude and I'm still finding little tid bits of its history some is kindda intresting (previous owner was an adult dancer) but best so far is that women was very particular on keeping it maintained I found the complete dealer maintenance records from 1993 till 2010. This rs7 is an absolute st killer.. just standard rolling off the showroom floor its a quick car.. being tuned is just a bonus for ya sam. This i wud say is your best pickup so far..
You are very talented to put this all back and function. I had a 2008 TT that got the convertible roof stuck open on 4th of July rendering it useless to go out. Has to use the beatup altima. I have no talent to locate these hidden switches and at least operate the car. Needed a tow back to dealer....
