    I love my 2017 Tucson, I own it since new and I already have 88,000 kms. This car has been out of any kind of trouble driving it in Mexico city, a city full of holes and bumps. I love it. I had a corolla before this one and I had to replace engine mounts every 35,000 kms.. In the Tucson nothing has been replaced and it runs perfect. It was made in Czeck Republic and from 2021 on will be made also in Alabama, USA.

    You missed the door lock actuator. This is the most common issue in all Hyundai 2016 Tucsons, according to my dealership. Should have been a safety recall.
    You nailed the airbag sensor issue. This airbag sensor problem seems to be common in many vehicle makes and models. My dad had his go out in his Mini Cooper and my friend had the same problem in his Mercedes. There must be a third party manufacturer who makes the faulty sensor. I have not verified this. Thank you for this informative video.

    I have a Hyundai Tucson Se 2016 2.0L. It has 50.000 miles and the only issue I’ve had it’s the compressor. I had to change it due to low cold air and I was cooling just when accelerating the car. I changed the tires, rotors, breaks, alignments and a coolant flush. It works good the only thing I complaint about is the gas consumption that is usually 22mpg pretty bad.

We bought this vehicle new from the dealer, and have had it serviced at hyundai since new. If it is consuming oil at 100 thousand miles, 38 miles out of warranty, you and i know the problem was already there before 100k. Sad to see a car purchased new and at 100 k miles it already needs oil thrown at it.

    My 2016 Tucson, which has about 80.000 km and is 5 tears old, as the older 2010 model that I also owned, have an issue with the front right passenger air vent, at low air flow you can bearly hear a screech, ir seems that I am the only one noticing it, other passengers don't hear anything. Additionaly, the 2016 model developed sounds in the insulating rubbers mounted on the driver door, dust cleaning and applying sillicone grease on them, fixed it. Otherwise, the car is techincally sound, I didn't experience any of the issues presented here. Actually it is the only one which run perfectly that long, I am talking here comparing it to other models I used as new, like Toyota CR-H or VW Tiguan.

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 3 lety +4

      +sagi fern The evaporator temperature sensor or switch is a component commonly found on many road going vehicles. It is a part of the vehicle's AC system, and as its name implies, detects and monitors the temperature of the AC system's evaporator. The EVAP's function is to keep gas fumes in the gasoline tank from reaching the atmosphere. This keeps air pollution down, and keeps the smell of fuel from reaching the inside of your vehicle.

      Dont lay on the brakes amd the gas pedal at the same time when creeping forward. The DCT transmission in your car is operates like a manual and you shouldnt lay on the clutch. Wait for the car in front of you to start moving and then go. Dont hold the car from rolling with the accelerator, use your brakes.

    Besides those, people are experiencing (1) repeated failures on the plastic window pulley resulting in the windows not working - eventually happens to all doors repeatedly.. (2) Door handle/lock mechanism failure to the point where the door can't be opened from inside or outside (3) AC compressor failure in under 5 years...(4) transmission issue .. Where if you hit a bump the gear sometimes gets knocked temporarily into neutral.. And then goes back into gear... All that in a 2016 Tucson..2.0 gas version

I've replaced the window regulators in 2/4 with the back passenger window broken now too. (Refuse to pay for that right now) The door latches to both front doors have been replaced, AC compressor broke last year, left blinker switch went out just before I lost warranty, and I've had the alternator replaced twice just after warranty went out. Save yourself the hassle and don't ever get one of these garbage cars...

    My 2018 1.6T had to have the transmission replaced at 74k miles. Was hoong it was a sensor. But after a week they determined it was the transmission. Took 7 weeks to fix and luckily i had someone at the dealership looking out for me and got me a loaner car.
    Now at 96k, the drivers side smart key stopped working. I fixed that myself for $40(thank you youtube) and then today, the oil light came on for maybe 1-2 seconds and then disappeared. Turns out my oilstick was bone dry. I had to add almost 3 quarts! No oil spots on thebgarage floor, so either it's burning oil now that it's almost out of wareanty or they shorted me on my last oil change. Hyundai dealerships really SUCK. Communication is horrific.
    Kind of hoping they shorted me on my last oil change because having to add almost 3 quarts of oil every 3k miles is just annoying. It's been 3500miles since my last oil change.

Very low power at low gear and RPM, stuttering and hesitation. And if I give it a lot of gas it kind of 'gets over it' and jerks up to speed way too fast.

      Take it to a 3rd party mechanic shop to get a full diagnosis you will have to pay out of pocket but it will be worth it.
      What dealerships try to do is patch whatever they can to save money even if its covered under warranty. The last thing you want is your engine stalling after your coverage is up.
