Great to see you back on the Tube Matt!
Thanks
greetings from Greece and thanks a lot for the video.very helpful
Love the camera work! Excellent start there, Matt
This car is wonderful. I love the design the interior, everything about it
You’re reviews are absolutely awesome
Love the reviews in general. Though the Tucson has changed in what it offers now, any chance of an updated review on the car?
Mat your new channel is awesome, I am hardly interested in Crossovers but still have really been enjoying these last couple of videos.
I love the new camerawork and especially how it follows you in the video. Almost like JB in Spectre. :)
Great to see you back Mat! Informative, down-to-earth reviews for the Everyday Typical Driver. Just what we were missing.
Thanks
Great video Mat! Great to finally see you back!!
hi mat, love how you do the reviews. Can you have a review for 2016 Mitsubishi Mirage? Thank you
Great to see you again Mat!!
If you are interested in this, the slightly older model of the Tucson, be aware there are some inaccuracies about the engines in this review in terms of the UK market. Matt refers to the petrol engine as being underpowered and you should just avoid it, but there are 2 petrol engines in the UK. Although the standard 1.6 petrol is under powered for the weight of the car, the 1.6 turbo petrol is powerful enough to make this reasonably quick (0-60 sub 9sec). The following older Tucson models had the 1.6 turbo petrol engine as an option:
Sept15-Dec15 Premium
Jun17-Aug18 Sport
Feb18-Aug18 Go SE
Very refreshing style you've got Mat ... so much better than all other reviewers IMO. best of luck.
Electric boot opening gesture was awesome ;) lol
Congrats Mat!
Nice to see you in action again Mat
Keep up the brill job. best car reviewer on net by a long way .
Damn it Mat, I watch this reviews almost only because of the 4k now. Keep it up!
Try it on your TV!
+MatWatsonCars my 4k monitor is 40 inches, my tv is 65 but is only 1080p :) the res really makes your videos shine
Good to find you again Matt.
Yay, been waiting for you for a long time.
Thanks for this, Wish you the best. LIKED !

Great review and good job carwow team
Great videos Matt, Great detailed content...Love the comparisons - One minor positive criticism - Can you slow down when speaking a little plz? I'm missing some details and have to re play to catch your very informative details. Love the accent !
Nice review! I speciallu like the text displayed at the end. Cheers
*specially
2:36 aaaah, the stitching on the passenger seat
holy moly how'd that make through the quality check
btw, sticking the parcel shelf at the edge of the load bay is a good thing when you need a load lip - like when parked on an incline with stuff in back that may fall out as you load/unload
I like these long reviews that's show us a lot of detail about all the aspects of the car rather then just showing the basics, the style on this review was perfect. Please can you do some reviews for luxury cars such as the Mercedes S class, 6series, 7 series etc
Will do.
Thanks!, keep up the goodwork
Mat waiting now for your 4k review of new tiguan 2016 😀
Excellent and to the point video
keep up the great work !
could you maybe do a review on the santa fe 2019 please?
All the videos of carwow are awesome!
Could you do the 2016 Mercedes c class coupe? I am really thinking of buying it but there aren't any good useful reviews on CZcams.
From Trinidad.i want to buy one this year.any advice
can u plz review MG GS. would like to know more about that suv. Is it worth buying?
Great to see Matt back!!! By the way, higher trim levels have softer materials for interior and the Limited model in the US has leather cover on top of the dash where Matt pointed out in the video. It is hard plastic in Euro spec, bad regional decision by Hyundai.
Another great video. Cheers
Amazing review. Really loved the ending with pros and cons! Subscribed...:-)
thanks

The man is back in business!!!
And just like that, he's back!
TOPGEAR take note
Good review Mat!
Expats in Gulf love to buy Carolla and Tucson because it's cheap , good space , low maintenance cost and good resale value. Of course Kuwaiti's love German and Italian brands!
Samuel from Kuwait.
Mat, we bought the Premium 2016 model late last year. Panoramic roof, LED lights and all the toys for boys you could ever need. We love the strong styling of it and it is the 2.0 ltr diesel, so has a bit of oomph when required and when using cruise control, I can get well over 40 mpg and that's even driving about the streets (like a Priest mind you). We love it and this is our 2nd Hyundai. The last one was the IX35 which was bullet proof too.
Hi mate. I am looking to buy huyndai tucson premium 2 litre. 84k milege. Shel I go for it. Is it reliable engine
@@jazig11 highly reliable
Is not cheap plastic. I’ve checked this car and the finish is very good quality better than some Mercedes finish
To be honest. You sound like someone poor with little to no experience in luxury cars... Cars like the Mercedes are miles ahead but they are expensive
@@impoppy9145 I've sat in a Mercedes s class and the quality and the suspension are both the worst I've seen my 6 yr old golf is far more comfortable to drive and it's far more solid Mercedes have become a joke they use Renualt engines now on cheer models which shows how horrific they are
@G Hq Each to their own Mercedes are a poshed up shopping trolley!!! build quality is horrific. All show no brain car. Renualt engines on cheaper models says it all Mercedes unfortunately don't make them like they used to instead they are on low down Vauxahll like levels
@G Hq that costs money and like I said before build quality and comfort are bad anyway so it's pointless better of with bmw ford or Mazda kia or hayundai id rather have a skoda over a mark anyday
Wow! This car looks amazing! They have in Singapore with automatic transmission.
Should I get Kia Sportage 2018 or Hyundai Tucson ?
Interesting how the interior trim and engines on offerings are almost totally to Australia. I've just settled on the Highlander (top) trim level here wiht the 1.6 and DCT.
What about the rear middle seat? Is it good or bad?
When is Matt reviewing the new one?
Is Hyundai Tucson a good choice to buy as a used car
If looking at Tucson also consider Kia Sportage.. same chassis and engines but may be better overall package depending what you want.. the market is flooded with these cars so specify what you want or state you can go elsewhere.. ensure you get a good deal
How is it compared to Mazda CX-5 2.0?
Hi, I like your comparison video. Could you please add in Honda Vezel and Toyota Harrier too.. =)
Mat, continue what you are doing. You are very good at this! I can also spot some differences - your style is now more fresh and entertaining! Keep up the good job! :-)
are you still active
mat watson what do you think will be the best car in terms of resell when it comes to this hyundai and its rivals??
Mr. watson how many cars do u have and what are they
Can you review the 1.4 new petrol Audi Q3
Hello. Can you help me to choose what car to buy? Jeep renegade limited with a panoramic roof and on the 1.6 diesel which costs 22,500 euros, Hyundai Tucson with the highest equipment package (leather seats, front and rear parking sensors, seat heaters) which is 1.6 gasoline that costs 22,500 euros, or package as the film , 1.7 diesel, that cost 22,500 euros? and why? Thanks!
finally, you are here!!!
Is it available in Tuscon?
Further jeep compass trailhawk model review
is this a standard gearbox?
Where are you walking off to at the end?
This video was recorded 5yrs ago yet I bought it a week ago and checking this till it’s delivered 🙃
i see all these videos because of Matt hhaha and i am a straight guy. he is a gem though.
This color really brings out the best of it's awesome design. It's really hard deicding between this or a Sportage.
Firemarioflower Either or...both are very good.
Me too . I can't choose . I am thinking to get Tucson but I don't know .
What do you think ?
Do a video about hyundai santa fe
please can we have the group test video? That will help me choose.
Watch it on our. Website. Just follow the link under the video or from annotation at the end.
Great new videos Matt. I have just got my new Tucson 1.7 crdi and it is definitely one of the best cars I have ever owned.
It's a really good car. Hope you bought it through carwow...
I didn't know it was available in NI
it seems like hyundai uk forgot to include led headlamp.. pity
please make a review of the ford mustang shelby.
Boring inside but love that exterior design.
Amazing exterior
Great review as usual by Matt though it's nothing next to Santa Fe
STOP slagging off Hyundai .the build quality is superb and the interior is not cheap or nasty i have been in many expensive cars with worse plastic .i have also owned various Hyundai's the last one for 9 years a Tucson old shape .anything made from 2008 onwards is well made and will last the 1.7 diesel is NOTa rough engine my wife has the 1.7 ix35 its quiet as any other diesels but being a Hyundai it packed with kit .the new 2017 Tucson is a smart car also loaded with kit go for the SE there are many useful extras and you won't pay silly money if you can live without a reversing camera and a touch screen sat nav /sound system then the SE will save you around £2k .a good sat nav will cost around £200 and the sound system in the rest of the Tuscon's is more than adequate .also ask about Hyundai's affinity scheme i could be wrong but i think Hyundai are the only company to offer this .if you have a blue badge or work for the police and other organisations that deal with Hyundai you qualify for a substantial discount i have just saved over 7k on a brand new Tucson using the scheme .dont buy a diesel if you only do short runs because unlike the older diesels that did not have a DPF the new diesels do have a DFP and if you don't do the miles you will clog it up and it is not covered on their warranty and it will costs you hundreds go for the 1.6 normally aspirated petrol if you are going to be using this car for short runs [like the 2 mile school run twice a day ]
i do 11 miles going to work and another 11 miles going home should i buy diesel or 1.6 benzine? thanks
That's not entirely true. While Hyundai has decent build quality it's nowhere near the top of it's class. You can feel the difference when opening or closing the car doors, the amount of hard plastics used in and around the interior. I drove an Audi before buying the Tucson premium 1.7 CRDI. While i love my Hyundai, i'll still acknowledge that there is a BIG difference in overall quality and finesse. There is no comparison because in prices they are 2 worlds apart. Which makes sense. The 1.7 CRDI is a little grumpy when you put your foot down. It's not the best engine on the market. Far from it, it lacks refinement. But it is a sturdy engine and outperforms the figures on the official paper. It's top speed is higher. It's around 190-195 and acceleration time from 0-100 Km/hr lies at about 10.7-10.8 seconds, depending on the road conditions and the driver of course. That IS IMPRESSIVE. It's also quick to pick up torque and speed even in low revs. It's a good engine yes, but quiet? Not entirely so. Overall it's a great family, small suv with great looks and good reliability so far. I'm a happy owner but won't go on to state facts that aren't true. Every car and brand has their up and downsides.
If you don't do more then 25.000 Km on a yearly basis i'd advise you to get the 1.6 Turbo. Not the naturally aspirated 1.6 as it seriously lacks in punch. You would still be better off getting the 1.7 diesel then. If you're thinking of towing then get the 2.0 Diesel as neither the 1.7 or 1.6 will really cut it for those purposes.
How about petrol?? Will it be wiser choice?? Thanks
Tony Beer If you bought a new car then you need to reconsider your financial strategy.
Make a video on hyundai Santa Fe
Tucson or sportage or toyota rav 4?
Your voice is lovely, man
I drove a hire car basic gdi 1.6 Tucson today and it averaged more than this diesel in stop and go M25! I do agree it doesn't suite the car though as you really have to rev it to get anything out of it with torque peaking at nearly 5000rpm.
Great video matt, just a shame the first two videos are boring Korean budget SUV's :/
What is a Hayadai Twoson?
Why don't u do vblog on Jeep compass
Wait why is the driver seat on the right not left
Can anyone please explain how to activate the eco mode?
To up the quality of your videos, could you add your feedback on the braking capability of each car as well as the throttle feel. Personally, I felt that the steering of the Tucson felt way too woolly. Thanks and well done otherwise.
Mat , Your funny face expressions .. ha ha ... Thanks for the amazing review.. :)
Good call Matt about that car having four rings and charging £10k extra, only the car with four rings will still need another £10k to bring it up to the same spec as the Tuscon (Highlanders spec) or CX-5. autoexperttv does and interesting comparison with the CX-5 vs the Q3.

Matt! I don't know if Hyundai Creta is an SUV that's being selled in Europe, but if it is, could you review it? I'm looking for it, and I can't trust anyone but you
Please review the Mahindra Xuv 500 Mat!
