OMG I cannot imagine only spending 800-1000/month on food! We have 4 kids and 2 adults in our home too but we spend double that 😢 so expensive! We live in Canada and when we travel to the U.S. we are shocked when we see the food prices there! It's crazy here!!!! Good haul!!!!

We love that garlic chicken mix, too. So easy! I'd love to see how you cook your sweet potatoes in the crockpot. We LOVE sweet potatoes but I usually only do them in the oven.
Awesome haul as usual! I love large family hauls, especially monthly ones. So much food! I am going to put up our monthly haul tomorrow. Family of ten, and we don't eat out, so major food LOL!

hey, heads up! do sweet potatoes, chicken, chicken broth, butter, salt and pepper in your slow cooker. sometimes we add celery and carrots as weel. ive added green beans and onions to it all too. so amazing!
Great haul!! Would love to see your daily (or nearly daily) meals. Meals planned, etc. I'm on a weekly meal planning "kick". I have NO idea what our monthly budget is though! :/ That's a hump I'm in the process of creating/dealing with. yikes! lol! Of course we all know it's not gong to be a huge number, but still. A.W. you may already know this, but wanted to share just in case.. to keep celery lasting longer, roll a few stalks of each tightly in tin foil, it lasts for weeks!!..

I only have SAMs membership but I always see all the yummy stuff from Costco and makes me want to get a membership
+kate tulkki I was a Sam's member for about 10 years, Costco is much better. Better quality, better variety of products. About equal on price.

I have a costco near me, and i have never seen the bird's eye veggie mix. what section did you find it that in?? also, how do you cook your sweet potatoes in the crock -pot? I am looking for new ways to cook mine other than in the oven.
I'm still on the hunt for HG store bought salsa. I tried the refrigerated version at Costco because everyone raved about it but it's too sweet for me! Maybe I'll try that version you just bought. P.S. I'm jealous about that beef stock you just bought! We only have beef bouillon base at ours.

omg your food allowence is like wow and I know you have yur children. But for me and my husband we try to get food that will last about 2 weeks at a time and we spend about 160 every 2 weeks. but I've been on a tight budget for a while and have been trying to get cheaper cleaning supplies mainly. but I was thinking you were gonna say you haul was 300ish but dang lol. and I'm gonna start using vinegar after I'm done with my fabric softener for laundry and the dish spot dryer thing when the other one runs out.
+Taylor sorry just saw you message yesterday, but our 300$ food haul is including non food like toilet paper soaps umm just little things once n a while. And food to last us 2 weeks for 2 adults. But we need to learn how to still budget for us two I always seem to over cook for more. Even though I've been married to my husband since 20 now 31. Can't wait to cook for at least 2 kids of our own. We had one once but we miscarried. So yeah :) like watching her vids for easy recipes.

I just drop them in the crockpot in the morning on low and their read on the evening. Soft and yummy!

I was hanging my apron on a command hook and my 8 year old says "She's NOT in her apron!" and started laughing, lol.
Don't forget to film the bruschetta chicken you're going to make with those spices! :)
I bought some of that seasoning and I keep forgetting to try it!
A little tip for the orange juice: add 4 cans of water instead of the 3 the can says. It tastes just as yummy and stretches it just a little further!

Off-topic but if you ever make Kool-aid for your kids it calls for 1 c. sugar but 3/4 c. tastes just as good and then it's less sugary for the kiddos. My husband's family always did that and he taught me that little tip.

wow food must be expensive there, to me a grocery budget of $800-$1000 is insane
I’m the wife of a sailor and a mom of 2 little boys (4 & 1). We easily spend $800 a month on groceries, first aid, medicine, personal hygiene, diapers and wipes, paper and plastic products as well as cleaning supplies.
When you have just ONE budget line it looks ridiculous but it comes out to a reasonable amount.
This is how I imagine a typical american shopping trip

I wouldn't say typical she has a large family also if you go to a regular grocery store or to a super Wal-mart or super target it would be a much smaller haul. Many months I skip Costco altogether because for a small family sometimes Wal-Mart is way more affordable. Costco has a lot of higher quality items though like trash bags for example are nicer and more affordable at Costco.

HANNAH BRAY some places are better than others. my friend spends like 1000 per month on her family of 3 in her state. we live in washington state and spend about 1000 per month on our family of 6.
wow. i spend like $200 a month or less can't afford that many groceries. Lucky its only myself and 2 sons who are 8 and 9
That's amazing, I keep trying to lower how much I spend and I haven't been able to get my total under $500 for the month - groceries are killing us and we have a family of 3. My husband and son eat me out of house and home they have big appetites (mine is a little appetite!) My $500 a month includes all groceries not just food but my entire total on anything from Costco/Wal-Mart.
