Too many injuries seems to be the story of this team every season, so I am pointing fingers at the staff. Pioli takes blame too but overall this team can’t be this bad with four years of building. That is where I’m frustrated, four years of Inter getting stronger and Milan continuing this circus.
We need to wake up now not when Bayern, Liverpool and others overtake us in Champions League titles.

Things started to go south when we won the Scudetto with Leao's great performances. Pioli gave up playing as a team and we became a team of 1 v 1 solo players. Bye bye to all the team-players we had like Salaemaekers, Rebic, and more. After winning the scudetto Pioli got so inebriated he lost sight of things. They played "Pioli is On Fire" in San Siro up until 1 month ago, or less.. That was the song of the scudetto, nothing to do with Pioli, but the coach started to think he was Guardiola or something.
Ownership is proving that putting money on the table doesnt make a team great (check Chelsea and United). You have to do things in the Club's interest. It's not a business like others. But I doubt americans understand that..
The coach had to be fired last January. We are 1 year late already.

At this point it is far beyond the on pitch problems, the management do not care about the club and the true success. We saw this when they fired Maldini and sold Tonali. The spirit of the club is not there anymore, because to them, all this is, is a business, and they want to build a new stadium, make the money off that and whatever happens to the club happens. I hate to say it but this is the direction is looks like its going in.
Genuinely, I don't see them bringing in anyone better than Pioli because its clearly a case where a better coach won't be able to do what he has to do if he doesn't agree with the philosophy at the club now. I am all for bringing in talented young players. But at some point, you have to bring in experienced players, and players that are at the level you want to be at. (Serie A winners, Champions League level) I won't slander any of the players that were brought in but I'm sorry, none of the midfielders are an upgrade, or at the same level as the player they sold, in this case being Tonali. Which is another problem in itself.
I can only hope this changes but signs have been that it won't, and it will take a very long time for me to have any faith at all in the management group.
The culture at the club has changed for the worst and that is a huge shame considering where this club was at even this point last season.

I went to the game. Atmosphere was incredible. The team collapsed in the second half, it was embarrassing. MULTIPLE tactical issues throughout the game which went unnoticed. For instance, how is it possible for ONE pass to Brand/Reus to bypass our whole midfield. They ran the show, there was a constant gap in front of our CBs, which they capitalised on continuously. Surely Pioli should have addressed this? Perhaps he didn't even notice it - which is troubling.

I think every fan is underestimating the impact of injuries, the injury crisis isn't normal, any management cannot plan summer recruitment expecting such injury numbers. Look at the players brought in.
    1. Chukwueze
    2. RLC
    3. Reijnders
    4. Pulisic
    5. Musah
    6. Romero
    7. Jovic
    8. Okafor
    9. Pellegrino
    10. Sportiello
except Jovic/Pellegrino/Romero any other player missing has caused a crisis, which player should be sacrificed for defence? if we brought in a CB instead of RLC/Reijnders we would be watching a video about not bringing in a good midfielder, if we didn't have the CB injury crisis and still got an extra CB we would be saying that management is inefficient, instead of midfield they bought a defender. In retrospect its easy to criticize decisions but during summers the management had to take a call based on the current availability of the squad. They upgraded RW massively, upgraded the midfield, added depth to LW. We still have ST and CB/LB/RB positions to strengthen but we are not Chelsea, we cannot just splash in. How can any management expect 4 out of 5 CBs to get injured?

My blame is Pioli not figuring out his out-of-possession structure and his use of Calabria. We should have sold Krunic and I believe we will for the winter. Let's hope for Motta! Signings can't save this team, arguably the best quality side in the league with elite wingers, tactical and retention midfielders, great CB pairing with ball playing (Tomori improved and doesn't treat the ball like a bomb anymore), and athleticism. Ofc Maignan but our biggest issue was the RB and lack of a shield in defense which our CB covered a lot of ground for (Thiaw injury) and Calabira doesn't help that with his poor positioning and lack of IQ when facing PNP machines. Coaches will die to have our team and model of the primavera. Yes, there's blame on all sides but let's not act like Maldini's targets were great. Ignored Enzo, Kolo Muani, and instead went for Renato Sanches (Biggest flop) and Origi who put on some weight and can't put on a shift. Giroud is guaranteed 12 + goals (Last season so I'm not mad). If Maldini was here, a midfield of Krunic, Pobega, and Tonali is awful. Bennacer out and Adli wouldn't sniff the pitch especially if the renewal of Krunic went through. Thankful for Pioli works but is time ended in the tie against Inter of the Champions League Semi Final. good content and hope to see more

He had a bad match and is pretty inconsistent, but he played well against good players like Mbappe, Kvada. I think he needs motivation. Not sure if we're tired of American players but Chris Richards or Cameron Carter Vickers could be great January Transfer window pick up for the CB position. Richards would be a loan but CCV would be a good get if we can get him.
I'm not sure if he's good enough for Milan but he's shown what he's got during Champions League with Celtic and will likely win his 2nd Scottish league defender of the year this year.
I'm not well educated on other players I'm sure there's some great young up and coming Italians we could pick up like Gnonto but for the CB. But as a person I have limited focus and as an American I obviously have my own bias. Not only that I've been a boyhood fan of Milan for a long time.

Let’s be honest, we beat ourselves on this one, we had chances on top of chances, but we just don’t have good finishers, if we do, our wingers ain’t doing a good technical job at getting it to them. And now that I mentioned it, pioli doesn’t seem like he’s helping his players work on that.I like pioli but it seems the our players hit a milestone, and I would hate for that to happen to our new young players, which performed really good in the later minutes of the second half
Another thing, I hate to see players trying to walk the ball into the back of the nets, my person belief is, if you get a ball at the top of the box and have enough time, shoot the damn ball instead of passing it back out wing only to lose possession

Heres is what I notice and really hoping im right. Jovic was very happy for Camarda even though he was getting subbed off. To me I think he is a good person that is wanting to play for the team not himself. He has had a horrendous start however he played so much better against Dortmund than any other game. Was it great, no, but much needed improvement. Pulisics scissor kick was a great try he has confidence now, trying to maintain possession thinking of making plays for other players not just taking his man every single time. He placed some great passes that we could not finish. If they stay healthy I think we will get a connection between those two purely based on personalities and mental state. I think next game if Jovic plays he will score, Pulisic goal or assist as well. I am hoping Jovic turns into what we need in a striker although he was shown absolutely no results on the field so far. All I have left is hope because I am beyond mad with all the injuries, I just can not comprehend how business men and professional fitness personnel can not maintain a healthy SECOND OR THIRD team!!!!! Krunic made sense as a CB imo as he is good in the air, which with Calabria - Tomori is a bit of a question mark.

Its a coach issue. You still have a defensive minded fullback in Florenzi on the bench who can at the very least do a 30-something minutes at CB but instead you shove a CM to cover which is beyond dumb. His style of play has been read by every opposition for about 2 years now and he has no solution.
What we can do in mercato is limited by uefas settlement agreement and this was just as far as it could go. Id be over the moon if we could at the very least be in contention for players like Jude or Gvardiol, hell even guys with Opendas reputation but thats impossible. Years of financial mismanagement and no top european football does that, recovery in a few years was never an option.

The injuries are not the responsibility of the medical staff, Pioli's fitness coaches and their fitness regimen, produce the injuries, the medical staff just tries to bring them back to health in the best way posible. Pioli's fitness coach is Matteo Osti and he's been with pioli since pioli was Chievo Verona's Head Coach in 2010. Pioli's teams all have had problems of injuries and the most extreme example is this current milan side. Apparently Matteo Osti is his friend and Pioli won't sack him because management already tried to intervene. A Head Coach is the Leader, the CEO of the team sporting wise, Pioli is obviously not that. Pioli Out!!!

We have to keep in mind that if none of them were injured, our cb's are: Tomori, Thiaw, Kalulu, Kjaer and Pellegrino. We have THREE possible starters, a good veteran as back up and a young player. If not for injuries, our cb line up is absolutely good.

      - Kalulu fell off last season
      - Kjaer is 34
      - Pellegrino has played 18 professional matches.

Cause that's what the Milan management would do given how Milan operate. But why should we wait till the end of the season and still give him a chance when he's been underperforming with the players we have right now? By the time that happens, Milan will be in an even bigger mess than right now. We should be doing something similar or the same as Napoli. Sack our current manager now and find a permanent or interim manager. It may not be the best or even a long term solution but it's better than leaving the club in the hands of a manager who's tactics are so bad that he keeps changing formations and playing some players out of position.
