Wish more people who review games had Ircha’s honesty. So refreshing.
I like it because she doesnt lean Artsy so when I want a good straight forward game to play I can always count on her opinions.
What proof do you have that she’s honest and others are liers? This woman put Forspoken as #1 for objectively wrong reasons, that’s not honest at all.
@@dib327you copy pasted this comment and posted it 10+ times. 👍 I was honest. Why wouldn't I be.
@@ircha She claims that Forspoken is a “character development game” with “good graphics”, those are both objectively wrong. You’re lying and this video should be removed for misinformation.
@@dib327 so people who have a contrary opinion are lying? Is there no room in your world for freedom of thought and tastes?
I love the way you prepared notes in your physical notebook, and refer to it as you do your video content. Very authentic and cosy to spend these precious minutes with your game of the year special annual video. 🎉❤ Ircha, Ircha, bless you when you read this :) Tom
I liked that too. She had a script and came prepared but it's also the fact that it isn't digital is just special.
Just saw you made it to 100k subs. Congrats! Love the way you make your vids like a normal conversation.
😍😁👍 Thanks ❤️
My daughter wanted to tell you her game of the year was “Mail-time” 100%, no hesitation!!
Mine was fire emblem engage!! I loved it so much I beat it twice in a row! Going to revisit for a third time to take it down on Maddening mode one day.
My #2 game of the year is star ocean second story R. I feel in love with that game and it sent me right back to my childhood.
My wife says Super Mario RPG!
Merry Christmas from us to you! 🎄
Say hi to them from me 😍😍🎄👍 merry Christmas!
I love your honest personal list! That's why I love this series.
This woman put Forspoken as #1 for objectively wrong reasons, that’s not honest at all
Such an honest and refreshing take on a game of a year list. That's what I like most about your channel. I'm looking forward to jumping into Assassin's Creed Mirage and Forspoken when I get the chance.
Some game highlights for me this year were Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy 16, Star Ocean The Second Story R and Mario RPG Remake. My personal game of the year would have to be FF 16 (which had it's own fair share of criticism). I absolutely loved it!
Happy Holidays from my family to yours!!🎁🎄
Absolutely loved this!!! Hope you had a great Christmas and I love your number one pick! I got it for Christmas and I can’t wait to try it out for myself! Honesty is the best policy!
Merry Christmas to you too ❤️
Merry X-mas! 🤩Yet another very cozy video. Thanks for all the great content this year. Played 100 of games this year, but BG3 was my most played game with 110 hrs. Playing Avatar right now and it is so beautiful and immersive, very unrated actually!
Such nice commentary. I love your enthusiasm! Also, your honesty. You've a number of games on your favorites list that others didn't necessarily appreciate, which is great. Glad I found your channel today!
Glad you enjoyed! 😁
Just superb and honesty comes from the soul of Ircha😊👍 have a great time there ..greetings from Finland
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. It was a wonderful holiday treat. Thank you Irene!
Game of the year list are tricky and totally in the eye of the beholder…
People go through things throughout the year. Good and/or bad and sometimes playing these games under certain mindsets a game may be incredibly impactful to one’s opinion of a game. All of the games on your list were good and games that I enjoyed ( I haven’t played forspoken yet tho)
Great Video! I hope u your family, T-Hats and the cats all had a wonderful Christmas weekend!
"Should I be honest?" Hellz yeah! That's why we 💜 you and why I subscribed to your channel in the first place... wouldn't have it any other way! Happy holidays... Happy Gaming!!
Don't ever feel bad for enjoying a game! I'm glad you are honest about your video game opinions! My top 5 are:
1: Baulders Gate 3 (Obviously)
2: Resident Evil 4 Remake
3: Dead Space Remake
4: Starfield (Sorry, not sorry)
5: Wo Long
Thank you for a year of great videos! We appreciate everything you do! ❤
I'm so happy that you were honest and put Forspoken in there. I absolutedly loved playing this game and was always sad when everyone said that noone can like that game. I would really like a part two.
I'd play a sequel. It was #4 on my ranked list for games I played last year; I think it's great.
Thanks for your video, Ircha! So happy seeing you do your game sharing and talking!!
Thanks to you I decided to give Forspoken a try and I LOVE it! I'm now 60h+ in, on my way to platinum it ☺️ one of my favourite games this year for sure! I hope more people will give it a try
Forspoken is so good, that’s why the company is still open and running well, right?
@@dib327 oh no he likes the game i have to make a shit ass comment for no reason. Man gtfo
Can't explain how much I love your accent , it somehow makes me calm and even helps my anxiety.
I'm still playing some of these games on PS4 and PC, I have yet to finish HL and AC Mirage and Zelda TOTK seems to have infinite content.
It's the third time I think I see you mentioning the Star Ocean Divine Force, it really got me interested, never played a game from this franchise before , it seemed to me to be a good entry point for the series!
My Game of the Year is Legend of Heroes: Trails Into Reverie.
2023 for me is Trails year. Starting from the release of Trails to Azure, then I played Cold Steel 3 & 4 just to catch up to Trails Into Reverie which was released last July of 2023. Did not mention Trails From Zero since I played it on the year 2022.
My game of the year is Sea of Stars. That game is so great to me. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
I love your opinions! Shows your tastes and love that about you! I tie between BG 3 and Diablo IV for game of the year.
Started playing Forspoken tonight. Bought it on sale because I knew you raved about it. I’m enjoying it so far. I don’t understand why the protagonist is an issue. I have ideas why but really I got wrapped up in her story almost immediately. Anyway, thanks for all you do for the gaming community. Have an amazing 2024!
Just finished forespoken and really enjoyed it. My wife is still playing and doesnt want to stop...
Thanks for the video, enjoyed!
Love the video!! Not my game of the year but respect on your pick. Do what you like. Keep it up
I’m super late to this video, but loved this list and to your number 1, your review actually made me look into Forspoken and I too love it!
I notice that a lot of your taste aligns with mine, maybe I need to give Faefarm a try after all lol
Great video, and congrats on 100k!
My Top 5 games for 2023:
5. Tears of the Kingdom
4. Trails to Azure
3. Blasphemous 2
2. Final Fantasy 16
1. Octopath Traveler 2
Your thoughts on Forspoken and Assassin’s Creed Mirage ran completely counter to much of what I’ve heard (well, perhaps not completely, but I like that you’re pointing out elements that appealed to you rather than painting broadly). So maybe I ought to try them for myself. Also, with the Christmas vibe and the book this was a very comfy video.
Thanks 😁 yeah I loved those games.
Respect you being honest about forspoken. Just cuz everyone else hates it, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it. I think the gameplay looks sick. I haven’t tried it yet cuz there were so many dam games this year.
1) Trails to Azure
2) Diablo 4
3) Resident Evil 4 Remake
4) Lies of P
5) Sea of Stars
Those are all the 2023 released games I was able to play this year so I've gone ahead and ranked them. Love your personalized list because its so unique in this space.
It’s so cool that you stay true to your favourites!
Play the games you like to play and make videos of the games you like
and if you like or even love a game
then stay true to your heart and say with feeling ”THIS IS SUCH A GAME”
Great video Ircha!
Merry christmas!
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
14:08 It is cool you included a clip from TheQuartering. That livestream is how I got to know you existed and got me to subscribe to you. Merry Christmas!
After all your praise videos, I seriously want to play Forspoken. My top 3 this year is Final Fantasy XVI, Tears of the Kingdom, and Baldur's Gate 3. Much love and tears for them ❤
Good list
@@markxv2267 so what are yours?
You know what, I would trust the sincerity of someone who unashamedly puts a universally-panned game in their top list. I may not trust your standards (lol), but I know you're speaking from the heart.
i think my favourite for the year was octopath 2.
Same! 🎉
If you liked the traversal in Forspoken, you should chec out the Infamous games. Infamous The Second Son is possibly the best open world game ever made. You shoot powers from your hands and recharge your energie from car smoke and Neon lights. The story and gameplay are perfect.
Merry Christmas everyone 😊💕
Thank you for keep saying that Forspoken is great! I bought it and have been playing all day, it's just getting better and better ❤
Did you get to play Baldur's Gate 3? I enjoyed that one. I also wanted to play Final Fantasy 16 but I don't have a PS5. Have a great Christmas and holiday!
it wasn't my number 1 but i totally agree with you about Forspoken. there were things that it lacked but the things it did well were done SO well that it made up for it all. a great game.
Great video as always, merry Christmas
I have a lot of the games on this list and I bought them because of your reviews. I’m loving them all, so thank you. I still have 3 to get, so I’ll be saving up to get them in 2024. Have a very Merry Christmas. I love your channel, you answer people’s questions and that’s very rare.
My game of the year is Octopath Traveler 2!! Such an amazing JRPG!
Nice list. I love Forspoken too. 🎉
A wholesome no nonsense channel ! Well done
Merry Christmas Ircha! 🎄
Star Ocean Second Story R was my Christmas game, only about 15 hours in and loving it so far. Also looks awesome on PS5, would highly recommend. Might even make your next year's list of best 2023 games you played in 2024. :)
Merry Christmas Irene! I am that one person who agrees with you on Forspoken, I loved that game so much!
My GOTY picks for 2023;
5) Metroid Prime Remastered - I never playedc the OG version, but after playin this, I understand
4) Resi Evil 4 Remake - I never playedc the OG version, but after playin this, I understand (haha)
3) Remnant 2 - this one doersnt get the love it deserves, everyone forgot about it for some reason
2) Alan Wake 2 - what a trippy game. Exciting. Riveting
1) Bulders Gate 3 - man I love how other large AAA franchised crapped themselves because of how goo this is haha
Honorable mentions;
* Forspoken - I actually liked Frey. It was refreshing that she wasnt some pretty girl who is perfect, I enjoyed her jank. Also best magic of the year for me!
* Hogwarts Legacy - not only is it polished, it is well made, well written. Honestly, the game awards were a complete joke this year!
* Zelda TOTK - I do not want to hear any excuses from anyone about how the switch is not powerful enough to run games. I dont understand how they made this work on Switch, but it sure puts Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to shame!
* Spiderman 2 - I really enjoyed this, it was an improvement from the first one. I just wish that quest designs were more creative, especially when spidey has so many moves/traversal ability. I loved it anyway!
* Star Wars Jedi Survivor - Again it improved itself from the first instalment. I liked it. There is something that just doesnt feel Star Wars to be about it, but I still had a good time!
* Cocoon - if you have gamepass, play it. Honestly, in your words, this is such a game. Such a game. All you use is one bution and the left stick but it is such a game
Games I want to play later;
*Sea of Stars
*Fire Emblem Engage
*Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 with Phantom Liberty
*Armoured Core 6
*Super Mario Wonder (might play this today lol)
*Octopath Traveller 2
*Star Ocean Second Story R
*Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
I am really glad you gave forspoken a chance and loved it, I still haven’t played yet. There are too many games this year. People love to hate things, which I find too stressful to watch and I really appreciate watching your positivity.
My list:
1. FF16
2. Xenoblade chronicles future redeemed
3. Zelda TOTK
4. Legend of heros trails to azure
5. Star ocean divine force (I am still to play second story r remake, or whatever the official title is, but looks amazing)
Honourable mentions:
- master detective archive - rain code . This was pretty fun, i really want the game to get a sequel
-fire emblem engage - I had a lot of fun battling
- final fantasy 6 - I am only just starting, I love that the brought the final fantasy original games to ps5 and I can play them. I am sure I will enjoy going through the games 1-6, now that I have them
Why are you Forspoken fans always so toxic? Why are you incapable of allowing people to dislike Forspoken?
With a huge backlog, I mostly played games not released in 2023. I only played 5 new releases:
5: Roots of Pacha: Cozy life/farm sim. I got stuck somewhere which caused the game to stagnate. So I went through phases of being totally addicted and phases of being bored in 30 minutes.
4: Star Ocean Second Story R: Does this even count? The original game was far older. I never played the original and I enjoyed this for the beautiful graphics, nice music and incredible quality of life updates. For me, it was fairly obvious that this is an older game and it has some issues with story pacing and the optional characters have minimal impact on the story. I enjoyed it anyway.
3: Sea of Stars: I loved the visuals, music, puzzles, verticality of the levels and the combat. The story and main protagonists are somewhat lacking, though the story picks up in the later parts.
2: Forspoken: Just like you, I loved it. I was addicted to it and tried killing as many mobs as I could because I enjoyed the combat so much. I've never played such a parcouring game before and it was fun. It did have some pacing issues, the first tanta took way more time than the later ones. Maybe some content was cut? And it would have been cool if there would have been another city or village with living people to be discovered somewhere. The one city was a bit lacking. I didn't mind the banter with cuff at all.
1: Final Fantasy 16: This game is far from perfect. Equipment is a bit of a joke, and the environment is really beautiful but there's nothing to find when exploring. I loved the characters and the story. The game looks amazing and the title screen music gives me the chills.
I enjoyed the non-2023 games a lot more actually. Some of my highlights in no particular order:
* Graveyard Keeper: I was so addicted to this game. Unfortunately the expansions introduce soft locks and crashes (at least on PS4) and the game gets framerate issues the further you get. But it was so much fun. I recommend this to anyone who likes life/farming sim games.
* Atelier Firis: My first foray into the Atelier series. People warned me not to start with this one, but it's the one I had so I did it anyway. I was pretty lost at first but once I got into the flow I was addicted. Definitely looking forward to playing more of this series!
* Guardians of the Galaxy: It took some time to get used to the constant party banter, but it's easily the best part of the game. I played this right before seeing the 3rd Guardians movie in the cinema and I remember being disappointed by the movie because I felt the game did a much better job for portraying why I liked the original movie in the first place.
* Tactics Ogre Reborn: First time playing a strategy RPG. It took some time to get used to all the systems. Then I got addicted to recruiting all kinds of different units. Probably my most played game of 2023 with over 120 hours.
Honorable mentions:
* Assassins Creed Revelations: I played this on PS3 and my parents have a tv that does 3D stuff which was compatible with the game. It looked amazing for a PS3 game and the 3D feature made it a very special experience. Though I think Assassins Creed games aren't really my kind of thing.
* Trails in the Sky series: I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with these games. But I'm totally hooked on the overarching story and I can't wait to see how it continues!
I’m glad you enjoyed Forspoken
Love the notebook! I adored Hogwart’s Legacy too. Just a joyful experience. Your honesty is so refreshing.
Didn't get a chance to play many video games today since i find myself extremely difficult to get hooked to a video games just like old times. But i'm very happy with Potion Permit and SOS AWL. It got me very hooked and play 35hours++
Wish i could play and enjoy more games on 2024. I admire how you could be honest with the reviews. I might as well try forspoken and hogwart legacy bcs of you
My favorite games of the year was Jedi survivor, Hogwarts, & Disney Dreamlight Valley which I played the most.
Honorable mention that I discovered this year & put a lot of hours in, but it came out years ago, is Dragon Quest Builders 2!
I might try forspoken. It’s quite common for me to like games that most people hate haha
Great list for 2023 games of the year!. I love your top 5!!. I agree with you. Forspoken was also my best game of the year. I did almost everything in that game. I am only one trophy for platinum. I also enjoyed Assassins' Creed Mirage and Fae Farm. I am still getting back to some games I haven't finished yet, like you say. You can't play all the games at once... I have been also playing some other games like Remnant 2, Persona 5 Tactica and Lies of P. which I personally put them in my top 10 games of this year. Thanks for your videos. Keep them coming!. Have a wonderful holidays. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2024!.
omg. i love that you are the only one i know who liked forspoken. it's making me wanna pick it up and give it a shot for myself. 😅
I definitely agree with your take on forespoken, I never play as a caster but that game made it incredibly fun to use magic. I feel like the character was too unrelated for most people and that's what doomed the game's success but the game itself felt incredible to play.
I think it's great how you have stood by your enjoyment of a game so many people reported negatively on, so kids for that.
As for my favorite games, I feel like I'm on a bit of a different wavelength than you as far as games though, even though I greatly enjoy your reviews... but I'll provide my list anyway. Have not had much spare time this year so really only played a handful or bigger games, but I did enjoy:
Baldurs Gate 3 - so much depth of story here, no-where close to finishing but I really like it.
Horizon Forbidden West / Burning Shores - I love the lore in this world and the gameplay.
Slay the Princess (on Steam) just a cool and unique game. I really like the person behind it, Abbey Howard, a comic artist.
That's it... hope you have a great year filled with wonderful games ahead of you!
We all have opinions and games that click with us so no hate from me. Great video and being honest should be celebrated in the gaming space!
Kudos to you for your honestly. Forspoken was not my game of the year, but I did enjoy it. It's like many people didn't like the protagonist and the dialogue and progressed to manifest that upon all other aspects of the game blindly.
It was NOWHERE near as bad as many people made it out to be. Not even close. We just live in an age of hyperbole where so many people just ignore nuance in anything.
My favorite games this year:
1)cassette beasts
2)dragon quest monsters dark prince
3)Baldur gate 3
4)back to the dawn (steam only)
5) dave the diver
I am a Scandinavian-American and my family celebrated Christmas on its Eve as a family. We then visited relatives on Christmas Day.
Well - I don't mind that you placed Forspoken on the first place. I honestly have fun with that game right now. I love to see you like Valkyrie Elysium. I liked that game very much too. In general I agree with the other games on your list. A few games not on your list are my top games of the year. I name a few in no particular order: The Legend Of Nayuta - Boundless trails, Trails Into Azure, Crymachina and Starfield. But the highlights for me this year where Baldur's Gate 3, and my number one - The Legend Of Heroes - Trails Into Reverie. My god - I love that game!
Forespoken was a great game ! Good to see you enjoyed it 👍
Why did the company shut down if the game is so good?
So, so good Ircha! 😊❤🎉 thank you for your amazing video!
My top 5 for this year #5 Trip world DX #4 River City girls 2 #3 Pikmin 1&2 #2 Mario RPG #1 Alchemic cutie. Love ur videos.
Cool you met Dreamcastguy at the end of the video!
I loved forespoken, I would like to get back into it again. My games of the years were replaying Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen, FF12 Zodiac Age, Dragon Age Inquisition. I put hundreds of hours into those games. 😆
Merry Christmas😊 My most played game was Disney dreamlight valley with fae farm and wylde flowers taking 2nd and 3rd. The fact that wylde flowers got so many hours is thanks to the free updates because I'm still playing my original file that I finished the story for last year before the first update. I also got roots of pacha for switch and my sister gave me an Xbox one for an early Christmas present. I've been abusing the game pass and love venba, soul hackers 2, and coral island so far.
CONGRATS ON 100K SUBSCRIBERS!
Skyrim,Doom eternal, borderlands 3, zenoblade chronicles 3 and the definative edition, call of juarez gunslinger, rebel galaxy outlaw, batman arkam city and battlestar gallactica deadlock😊
Witcher 3. I have so many others but been so busy I’ve only continued to make progress on doing side quests 😂
I love your honesty and your choices, Irene.
My GOTY is Shadow of Mordor. It came out years ago but holds up beautifully. Such an amazing game. Great mechanics, story and world.
Yes! I love that game also. Shadow of War (the sequel, is also great)!
This woman put Forspoken as #1 for objectively wrong reasons, that’s not honest at all
@@dib327there is nothing objective with a personal list; it’s all subjective.
My friend just finished that game a few hours ago and he can't stop praising the game. Haha.
@@Misterobozo1 When you give reasoning like “Forspoken is a character development game” and “Forspoken has good graphics”, those are objective opinions, of which both are false. That’s why she’s lying and not being honest.
My top games from 2023 are Balbur's Gate 3, Tears of the Kingdom, Sea of Stars, Hogwarts Legacy, and Jedi: Survivor. Still playing a couple of them, but all are a lot of fun. Forspoken is on my short list to play, but I need to finish at least one other open world game before I start another 😅
Merry Christmas Ircha!
Love these videos! 🥰🎄
Hey!!! As a Puerto Rican we also celebrate and party on Christmas Eve, awesome!!! Christmas Day we just open presents in the morning, eat, relax and watch movies all day lol
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Ircha! Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year! 🎉
I highly recommend Alan Wake 2 and HiFi Rush
Thanx for the opinion merry Christmas
I'm not disappointed. I'm happy you're pointing out other games different from everyone else's. I'm looking forward to playing Forspoken.
Don’t, trust me.
Why are you people so easily brainwashed by garbage?
A little late…buuuttt, merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! As always I enjoy the content :) thanks
Thank you 💕
Glædelig jul, Irene🎄❤️
Love your review style and your 2023 choices. Merry Christmas and happy new year for you and your family. 🎅
I want to participate! These are mine:
1- Zelda Tears of the kingdom
2- Final Fantasy XVI
3- Hi-Fi Rush
4- Atomic Heart
5- Dave the Diver
Note: I haven't played Hogwats Legacy, Forspoken or Baldur's Gate 3 yet.
Merry Christmas Ircha. Have a good one 🎅🎄🎅
Nice list! My top 5 games are:
1. Baldur's Gate 3
2. Dead Space Remake
3. Alan Wake II
4. Metroid Prime Remastered
5. Street Fighter 6
Surprisingly my best, most played game this of the year was Etrian Odyssey Origins collection on my switch. I played Etrian Odyssey III HD a TON and finished at beating the ultimate boss, it was so satisfying. I hope Atlus eventually remasters the rest of them
Adore your content and whenever Diskydisk comes out I stop whatever I’m listening to. Geseende Kersfees! (Merry Christmas) I’m enjoying MarioRPG a lot still, Fae Farm I’ve only dipped my toes into, but love the aesthetic. I had fun with Atelier Ryza 3, but think I enjoyed Sophie 2 a bit more. Mmmm, it’s tough to pick a game of the year haha😅
Hogwarts Legacy FTW! most played game and most enjoyed by far! Zelda, My Time at Sandrock, Super Mario Wonder was a blast to play with my family, Harvestella and OCTOPATH TRAVELER 2! I was obsessed with that game! The emotions it gave me and then the depression I felt when it was over was almost too much lol.
Love your lists! I love that it’s not a rehash of the same games everyone else says. I hope you had a great new years!
merry Christmas
I appreciate your honesty. I also dont think that forspoken is a bad game. My personal goty is final fantasy 16 and i know that many people also hate it. Its unfortunate that it doesn't become nominated for goty in game awards.
Same! My GOTY is final fantasy 16
What proof do you have that she’s honest and others are liers? This woman put Forspoken as #1 for objectively wrong reasons, that’s not honest at all.
@@dib327 she's talking about her own personal game of the year. She knows that many people will disagree with her about forspoken so that's why she is hesitating to say it first. She's just being honest that she loves the game.
@@chocobojam8776 She claims that Forspoken is a “character development game” with “good graphics”, those are both objectively wrong. She’s lying and this video should be removed for misinformation.
TOTK is number 1 for me. I am also getting into Monster Hunter Rise and World (I know I am late to the party). Also played Hogwarts, Mario, Phantasy Star Online (Dreamcast), and some others I can’t remember lulz. Merry Christmas 🎄
Honestly your number one shocked me. I will definitely check it out. I always believe games have value, but people are stuck on character rather than gameplay or growth.
Thanks to you I put Assassins Creed Mirage on my wish list and I got it 🙌
Thanks!
Omg thank you 😁
It's hard to enjoy a game when you play as a character that you don't want or care to see succeed, either because it's a bad unrelatable character, or the mission doesn't motivate you at all (which has happened to me). Developers should learn from that.
Congrats on 100k Ircha!
Games of the year with special get stars…. Cats. I love how you can see her looking around and the tree shaking during the review.
