You always put so much effort into your videos to get relevant clips for things as you talk about it. So many channels with more subs are so lazy and just talk over random gameplay clips that have nothing to do with what they're saying. Your videos are so informative too. I bought AC Origins whilst being stuck at home this year, and loved every minute of it. One of those good times I’ll always remember
I also just recently got Astral Chain and it's absolutely fantasic! Also I can understand why people are mad about Cyberpunk 2077 but personally I have to say that I enjoy the game a lot (playing on PC) and I am impressed with how fast they are fixing the bugs now. Ghost, Animal Crossing, and Final Fantasy 7 remake are my games of the year.
It's mind blowing that Genshin Impact is a free game... it's been a long time since I've been so into a game that I play it every day. Don't get me started on the music, it's so gorgeous. I'm an OST kinda guy and this games OST is 10/10, so much emotion crafted into it. Qingyun Peaks & Stormterrors Lair themes are incredible!
The only annoying thing about the game is the gacha system when you REALLY want one specific character to drop... but that's optional!

Genshin Impact is also my GOTY. I hate the resin system(since I like to grind and max out my characters) but I still had the most fun with this game this year. Games are starting to lose their charm as I grow older so it was such a surprise how much I enjoyed this game.

My favourite game of this year is Animal Crossing New Horizons. I have played this game literally every single day since it came out (apart from one week, because I didn't take my switch with me on vacation haha). Over 1000 hours are put in this game and I loved every second😍

I didn't play a whole lot of games that came out this year, but my game of the year was Final Fantasy 7 Remake

I don’t even think I’ve played 10 games this year, released or otherwise.
Best games I’ve played released in 2020: Doom Eternal and Crash 4 (only because you can play the whole thing as ma gurl Coco)
Best game I’ve played not released in 2020: Bound. A gorgeous game that definitely goes for artstyle over gameplay, but holy hell does it tell a powerful story, and is a shining example of videogames as an art form.
Oof...cyberpunk?!?! I play on Xbox one and it's been brutal. Quest bugs, randomly getting a fire debuff that kills you in 3 or 4 ticks, got stuck randomly in the middle of the map, lost 2 hours of gameplay for a corrupted save. I have hope for it but even with what you experienced with 5 crashes in 10 hours I couldn't put it in a top ten list.

I might try Genshin Impact after this, I've always thougth JRPGs weren't my thing but you are kind of making me reconsider that. What I like about your reviews is that I feel like you talk to the viewer as if you were sitting at the café talking in depth about the video games you love. Also that you don't cut out the awkward and funny parts of the videos, like the table moving >_

I just got my switch lite in February 2020 and have 657 hours logged this year, 635 for animal crossing alone. I love rpgs with crafting, cooking, and collecting and have a huge backlog of games I got from eshop sales.
Actually according to Nintendo I guess I played 677 hours total, I misremembered.
Games of the year. Final fantasy 7 remake. Was my lockdown game. And last of us Part 2 was my second lockdown game.

I don’t mind visual novels, as long as they are combined with other genres of gameplay like in Ace Attorney where you don’t just read but also have to find/present evidence and spot lies in court. Something that keeps you active. Pure visual novels put me the f*** to sleep.

My No.1 game for 2020 is Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. I sunk 127 hours into this sucker - and loved every single second of it. It was also my first time exploring the Bionis as I missed the original on Wii. I haven't been so immersed in a game in a long long time. Can't wait to play XCX and XC2 now. Astral Chain and Tales of Berseria get honourable mentions as I played these two this year also, and really enjoyed both.

I purchased a switch recently and dozens of games. Loved the lists.
Like you I am oversaturated nowadays, before it was relatively easy with just Xbox. Nowadays I am working on Xbox games, PC Games, and now Switch. I will give Oninaki a go with the trial, Inner me: *"ADD THAT ONE TO THE LIST"* lol.
DQB2 will be another add to the list for me. With a high recommendation from you, I will give it a go

I am not mad, not at your decision to CP77, I respect your perspective in your reviews, I am glad you are enjoying it, both you and Irchaman. That is one thing I honestly desire in games is the immersion to the story, the characters, and the plot. It doesn't seem to be that much of a priority to some developers, especially when companies want to focus more on the PvP multiplayer style.
Good to know I can go off, brew a pot of coffee, enjoy an episode or two of anime, before hopping back into AC Valhalla and check on it's loading screen lol.

Now that u have the Lenovo Legion 5pro I truly recommend u play cyberpunk . U will be blown away by the graphics . Super crispy and ray tracing I remember in another video u said u wanted to experience it this is the game to experience it with .

Awesome list !!! More people should have lists like this. I love the list of games played but not from this year. Simply because I sometimes can't get to play all the games that come out during the year. And there are other games that are overlooked. As for games played, for the Switch: Animal Crossing NH, and Diablo III. And on my Xbox it would be Call of duty MW, Warzone and the multi-player had most of my time. But then both AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk have it now. Have a Merry Christmas 🎅

Really appreciate the 2 lists because i always have games that I can't play the year they come out. My 2 games that meant the most from me this year are Animal Crossing and Ghost. I played Luigis Mansion 3 and completed Breath of the wild and Halfway into Xenoblade Chronicles Def Edition. Last Christmas I got a switch lite which I love with Breath of the Wild. Grateful I finished it. Playing Immortals Fenyx Rising today. Thanks to your review and an unboxing from @food4dogs, I ordered Rune Factory 4 Special Archival Edition. 2021 will be fun.

@Ircha Gaming it’s been a great year for games I’m still playing BotW I’m doing the champions ballad quest now, I also just started playing AC Valhalla, it’s so good and so immersive! I’ve stopped playing Cyberpunk for now since it will be getting 2 big patches in January so I’ll get back to it then. I also got Astral Chain (I had to have it from watching your review) and Paper Mario as well as Sanuka. So many games! I also want to play Ghost of Tsushima it looks absolutely stunning 🤩

I would also place Cyberpunk for my #5 this year for very similar reasons! I need to play it more but I’m still having a blast with it despite the bugs. Thankfully I haven’t experienced anything game breaking. I also do want to play Genshin Impact more 😁
My game of the year would probably have to be Animal Crossing just because of how important it was my mental health during our lockdown in the Spring. It gave me something to look forward to and got to “hang out” with my friends and family through the game ♥️ it’s super wholesome and I love that anyone can pick it up and enjoy it just the same.

I have been interested in the Death end re quest games, are they stand alones so that you could start with the second game or should you start with the first one? Also what is your opinion on persona/shin megami tensei games?
They are stand alones, but there are some refferance in the 2nd one you won't understand without knowledge about the 1st one 😁

I got Zelda breath of the wild, two point hospital and sakuna of rice and ruin for Xmas. I have had my switch for a year so I’m late joining the Zelda team. But I cannot wait to play it and see what all the focus and recommendations are about. I have wanted the game for a while but I have just been buying other games instead of it. I also just ordered and received Mario 3D all stars as I found out yesterday it was a limited release and won’t be in stores for long
Ac Origons is top notch. Ubisoft usually puts out crap, but this is an exception. I love Egypt
Genshin Impact is also my personal GOTY. Everywhere I go, it's always a therapy for me because of the beatiful scenery and the soundtracks that accompany it. When I reached Qingyun Peak, I just had to stop. The place was amazing, especially the specific OST in that place. This is a hard year for me, and when I went there, I kinda forgot the problems I had for a bit. No game that I played this year have made me feel that way. ❤❤❤❤
