I had a nyxi pro controller and it drifted bad after a week of use. I got a nintendo pro controller which is way better, also i got a Hori split pad controller for portable play and it is awsome.

Between keeping up with what vendors offered the best prices for what type of goods and competing with rival farmers for crop fields and visiting ALL those crop fields that were spread out all over the map!

I just picked my 3DS back up last week and bout Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and started playing through it. It's such a great system! I'm excited to get back to building up the library as I never really dug into it before. Great video, Ircha!
Stella glow is one of my favorite 3ds titles on the 3ds. It’s a tactical turn based rpg, great story and characters. Set my switch aside to replay it for like the 6th time, dragon quest 8 is definitely in my top 3 3ds games
@@vicvon6738 if its your first time playing it there is actually a “true” ending. Basically a little bit more story and a extra boss fight. I accidentally discovered it my third playthough. Have to max affinity as much as you can with klaus and choose to save “her” at the end.

@@vicvon6738 I’m not really sure if you can get it in your first playthough unless you already knew and just keep spending time with him, it does never fully max out just gets to a point where you can not progress anymore with him. If you replay on new game+ you get 9 free time’s instead of just 3 which makes it so much easier to max a lot of your characters out. Good luck on beating the game

Yo-Kai Watch is SUPER underrated, dood. The second game duo is actually a retelling of the original game of sorts (kinda...?), and Yo-Kai Watch 3 is definitely one of ny favorite games on the 3DS. There's just so much content and charm packed into it, and there's literally a game-within-a-game inside it. So many games I want to come back to, and Fantasy Life is definitely one of them! Level-5 just knows how to attract my attention, lol.
Stella Glow best hidden gem on 3ds! Character focused anime SRPG that incorporates a ton of great mechanics from other jrpgs. My fav story driven JRPG on 3ds hands down, which is saying something cuz Radiant Historia is also so freakin' good!

I bought a lot of eShop games during their sales. I have so many in my backlog now. All the Shin Megami Sensei games, a few Etrian Odyssey, all the Phoenix Wright games. So many more I picked up physical games after the eShop closed. I love my 3ds!
DQ 8 and 9 are my favorite! I had such a blast on fantasy life! I'm so hyped for the new one coming. I kinda missed out on the 3DS era. I played a few games and even own a 2ds. But at the same time i think it was ps3-4 era and was totally glued on it. That's a shame, i'm sad the Eshop is over.
Having a 3DS moment myself. Recently got Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, Kirby: Planet Robobot and Dragon Quest VIII. Love Luigi's Mansion! I've played the first one so many times on GameCube and 3DS, such a replayable game! I think part of what makes it so good is that the boss ghosts are these distinctive characters, and figuring out what you need to do in order to catch them is fun. I'd recommend Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros on the 3DS, it's just a fun game to play. Also, Tekken: 3DS Prime Edition. Tekken is better on Playstation but it's nice to have a handheld version of the game. Hope you enjoy delving back into the 3DS 😊

3DS is still an amazing hand held. It was my favourite ‘console’ for a while. I think the company that made the Yokai Watch games went out of business. There is a Switch port but it doesn’t have English subs. Fantasy Life (RPG) is a hidden gem.
I recently picked up my 3DS up again to play Dragon Quest 7. Previously Id only ever had the Pokémon games, but I enjoyed DQ7 so much that I've been seeking out other games on the console and picked up Bravely Default, Monster Hunter Stories and Dragon Quest 9 (which I appreciate is original DS). Looking forward to getting stuck into those, and potentially seeing what else is out there.
If you like bravely default it has a sequel called bravely second which is just as good. Radiant historia is good, fantasy life, so many great games on this system. I kinda almost felt bad when i bought a switch , but after a few months i came back to the 3ds again

I still play my 3DS because my backlog is endless. I like to alternate between it and Switch. I don't have the original Luigi's Mansion on 3DS, so I'll definitely get it on Switch. After the Switch, I'm going to end my gaming collection and just enjoy what I have. I don't need other systems. The train stops at the Switch for me.
They are still making Yo-Kai Watch games however the last one is only in Japanese on the Switch. Also, I believe Level-5 just announced recently that they are developing a new Yo-Kai Watch game for Switch however I’m not sure if that one will be localized either.
I asked a guy who owns a game store if he had Luigi’s Mansion on 3DS and he said yes but it was Dark Moon. I told him no the remake and he said only 1 came out on the 3DS. Didn’t believe me. Looks it up and later comes by to tell me I was right. Fun fact: the Gamecube was originally going to support 3D and Luigi’s Mansion was going to be in 3D but they canceled it. So them releasing it in 3D is a full circle moment, especially how it supported 3D when most of Nintendos 3DS releases at the time did not support 3D.
I do miss the 3DS, but I have a small amount of games I bought on sale well before the eShop closed that I still need to play. I even started playing Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns.

Dragon Quest VIII on the 3DS looks so good. Also just the fact that this version don't have random encounter, it's already a big + for me ahah. Only downside it's the lack of the orchestral soundtrack from the PS2 version. 😁

To me retro = computers and consoles from my childhood, so 8 bit microcomputers, Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, Sega Master System, Mega Drive, Game Boy, NES, SNES, and even Atari 2600 (dad had one.) PS1/N64/Sega Saturn came out in my late teens and that's when I really got into games.
Love the 3DS, but I feel even more nostalgic about the Wii U. Probably because it was such an unfulfilled console, lol. But anyway, 3DS gems? Not sure if these are hidden gems, but I REALLY liked Kingdom Hearts 3D and Kirby: Planet Robobot. Maybe "underappreciated" is the right word for those.
agreed. im one of apparently 1000 people that loved the wii u and i recently was able to set up multiple of my systems simultaneously, the first one connected was the wii u, and after validating the original super mario maker had all of the content, started playing twilight princess lol
The Wii U is underrated and underappreciated. I'm still playing Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE on it. The backlog isn't as big as my 3ds, but I still have quite a few I need to beat.
@@dajerx Why Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD are not on the Switch by now is still a mystery to me. But my Wii U is also plugged in and ready to go, so I can still play them any time I want! Lately I've been playing Splatoon 1, and I go back to Xenoblade Chronicles X every now and then too. So yeah, I'm also one of those 1000 people, and I'd say we're in good company! :)
In 2020 I bought Two New 3DS XL Red, Galaxy and One New 2ds XL with games for $330 Canadian from facebook marketplace. They still looks and works great. I sold my original black 3DS and 3DS XL with 16 games for $500 Canadian. 3DS is an amazing Nintendo handheld console. Even my S23 Ultra and Steam Deck runs 3DS.
I found a great condition new 2ds XL at a game store a few years ago. Snatched that up so fast. Not sure of the prices now but online this thing was 400 bucks. Got mine for 150. I might just have to boot it up now :) so many good memories. It's Nintendos best true handheld. I really miss handheld games. There are some switch games that invoke those handheld vibes but it feels like something that is going away. My favorite games are probably Link Between Worlds and Fire Emblem Fates.
The 3DS has, and will always have, a special place in my heart. Probably my favorite gaming system tbh, and I still play it actively to this day. So many titles I have yet to play, like Majora's Mask 3D (I never played through the N64/GC version..), and Luigi's Mansion 2. I've also been thinking about Dragon Quest 8 for a while, so I'm definitely gonna have to pick that up myself. I highly, highly recommend Kid Icarus Uprising, if you haven't checked it out yet. One of the best games on the system, although it doesn't have the best control system. At all. But so worth it imo. Probably best to play on one of the smaller models and stay away from the XL's, due to the weight.

Ircha, I think TOTK made me want to play older, simpler games. It was just so overwhelming and a little bit scattered, and I wanted a good old fashioned rpg to play. Would love to play DQ8 but don’t have a 3Ds.
The switch blurriness and haze drives me absolutely insane! I love how the 3ds is so crisp and clear (especially with the 3D on). Great video, I’m here for all the 3DS content! Currently playing: Kirby Planet Robobot, on of the best games to showcase and correctly utilize the 3D
@@grantschilb8019yes, and the 3d display itself has bigger pixels thanks to the lenticular lenses. The 2DS which has a standard LCD screen has a slightly crisper image because of the lack of the lenses

Favourite 3DS games: SoS Trio of Towns, Fantasy Life, Rune Factory 4, Dragon Quest 8, Yo-Kai Watch 2 Psychic Specters (It's the complete version of the second game), Bowser's Inside Story (I have the DS version but it's still great).
Great video and fun coincidence. I got the Luigi's Mansion 3DS remaster "new old stock" on the post just a couple of days ago. I must say I'm blown away by the 3DS after not playing it in a little while, although it was always a favorite. I've slowly started liking the 3D on the 3DS more and more. It makes the 3DS games look kinda look like pop-up story books in a fantastic way, the Luigi's Mansion games are prime examples of this. One thing I really miss with 3DS and earlier era Nintendo is that it was fun to get both console and handheld games. Always enjoyed the perhaps slightly smaller in scope handheld specific developed games as a counterpart to the "bigger" home console stuff. I'm glad Nintendo's been able to pump out new games at a steady pace on the Switch though.
Same I only got a 3ds when it came out for OOT and didnt touch it again. This year I've played on the 3DS way more than my switch working my way through SMT games and I have a load of Dragon Quest and FE games to get through as well.
Ircha, I love love love the 3ds. I have four of them (one regular, 3 XL), and a big stack of games. Also another stack of DS games which can be played on the 3ds. I love the Switch, but I often go back to the 3ds. I can’t believe that you haven’t played DQ8 though. I’m glad you’re playing it now. Also, I have that exact case as you. I got it on Amazon.
3DS hit me at a weird age and time where I was not interested in Nintendo games and honestly not interested in video games In general. But I did eventually buy a 2DS at Walmart for the sole purpose of playing Pokémon games.
I really miss the 3DS being relevant and have kept playing it all along since it came out. Switch did not impact my 3DS play and I do not use Switch as a portable. DQ 8 is one of my all time favorite games. I played the heck out of it on my PS2. As for Luigi's Mansion - I tried it on the Gamecube and could not get into it then I tried it again on the 3DS and still could not get into it. Yokai Watch is a lot of fun - I have played all the 3ds Yokai Watch games.
Dragon Quest IX is the definitive DS game for me... It's massive, it's multiplayer, and characters are very customizable. It's grindy as hell but damn it has so much charm. Ircha, being late to discover things is normal and as long as you have fun, nothing else matters.
I've gone back to SoS: Pioneers of Olive Town and am having a much better time with it than I did at its launch. So glad I'm not spending most of my time in loading screens lol.
I got into Dragon Quest from playing Dragon Quest Builders 2. Highly recommend playing it if you like life-sim/farming/building customizing types of games.
Love Fantasy Life! I just hope the switch release isn't a copy paste of the mobile game... Yokai Watch Is very cute and great to play on Halloween, the battle confused me a little bit but the story is nice. The story behind each yokai sometimes is very sad. 💜
3ds so much more portable than switch. Great form factor. Nice, you've got a copy of DQ8. I'm always nostalgic for the pokemons. I do have Yo Kao Watch. Not gotten around to playing them. Not a hidden gem but the SMT IV is quite good but expensive now. Modding the 3ds opens up a whole new world for you.
DQ 8 is one of the best JRPGs ever made. I'm going back to my ps3 to play some Red Dead and Gran Turismo and also my xbox360 elite to replay Halo 4, Halo 1 Anniversary and Skyrim, so I understand the feeling. The Switch is also coming for the ride :)
I still have a handful of games for the 3DS I want to collect, but the prices of some are just insane (looks at Yokai Watch 3). Il get there some day but being so close makes me want to splurge and get the rest.
The 3DS is one of my favorite consoles! The 3DS games on it are amazing but you can also play DS, GBA, SNES, and can even emulate other consoles! Love the 3DS!

3DS is still my favorite Nintendo console. When I heard the e-shop was closing, I went on a crazy buying spree. Costly, but worth it in my opinion.
You might like Ever Oasis and the 3DS version of Dragon Quest XI. You might find that one more charming than the Switch version.

To me retro = computers and consoles from my childhood, so 8 bit microcomputers, Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, Sega Master System, Mega Drive, Game Boy, NES, SNES, and even Atari 2600 (dad had one.)
PS1/N64/Sega Saturn came out in my late teens and that's when I really got into games.
Love the 3DS, but I feel even more nostalgic about the Wii U. Probably because it was such an unfulfilled console, lol. But anyway, 3DS gems? Not sure if these are hidden gems, but I REALLY liked Kingdom Hearts 3D and Kirby: Planet Robobot. Maybe "underappreciated" is the right word for those.
agreed. im one of apparently 1000 people that loved the wii u and i recently was able to set up multiple of my systems simultaneously, the first one connected was the wii u, and after validating the original super mario maker had all of the content, started playing twilight princess lol
The Wii U is underrated and underappreciated. I'm still playing Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE on it. The backlog isn't as big as my 3ds, but I still have quite a few I need to beat.
@@dajerx Why Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD are not on the Switch by now is still a mystery to me. But my Wii U is also plugged in and ready to go, so I can still play them any time I want! Lately I've been playing Splatoon 1, and I go back to Xenoblade Chronicles X every now and then too. So yeah, I'm also one of those 1000 people, and I'd say we're in good company! :)
In 2020 I bought Two New 3DS XL Red, Galaxy and One New 2ds XL with games for $330 Canadian from facebook marketplace. They still looks and works great. I sold my original black 3DS and 3DS XL with 16 games for $500 Canadian. 3DS is an amazing Nintendo handheld console. Even my S23 Ultra and Steam Deck runs 3DS.

I found a great condition new 2ds XL at a game store a few years ago. Snatched that up so fast. Not sure of the prices now but online this thing was 400 bucks. Got mine for 150. I might just have to boot it up now :) so many good memories. It's Nintendos best true handheld. I really miss handheld games. There are some switch games that invoke those handheld vibes but it feels like something that is going away. My favorite games are probably Link Between Worlds and Fire Emblem Fates.
The 3DS has, and will always have, a special place in my heart. Probably my favorite gaming system tbh, and I still play it actively to this day. So many titles I have yet to play, like Majora's Mask 3D (I never played through the N64/GC version..), and Luigi's Mansion 2. I've also been thinking about Dragon Quest 8 for a while, so I'm definitely gonna have to pick that up myself. I highly, highly recommend Kid Icarus Uprising, if you haven't checked it out yet. One of the best games on the system, although it doesn't have the best control system. At all. But so worth it imo. Probably best to play on one of the smaller models and stay away from the XL's, due to the weight.

Ircha, I think TOTK made me want to play older, simpler games. It was just so overwhelming and a little bit scattered, and I wanted a good old fashioned rpg to play. Would love to play DQ8 but don’t have a 3Ds.

@@grantschilb8019yes, and the 3d display itself has bigger pixels thanks to the lenticular lenses. The 2DS which has a standard LCD screen has a slightly crisper image because of the lack of the lenses

Favourite 3DS games: SoS Trio of Towns, Fantasy Life, Rune Factory 4, Dragon Quest 8, Yo-Kai Watch 2 Psychic Specters (It's the complete version of the second game), Bowser's Inside Story (I have the DS version but it's still great).
Great video and fun coincidence. I got the Luigi's Mansion 3DS remaster "new old stock" on the post just a couple of days ago. I must say I'm blown away by the 3DS after not playing it in a little while, although it was always a favorite. I've slowly started liking the 3D on the 3DS more and more. It makes the 3DS games look kinda look like pop-up story books in a fantastic way, the Luigi's Mansion games are prime examples of this. One thing I really miss with 3DS and earlier era Nintendo is that it was fun to get both console and handheld games. Always enjoyed the perhaps slightly smaller in scope handheld specific developed games as a counterpart to the "bigger" home console stuff. I'm glad Nintendo's been able to pump out new games at a steady pace on the Switch though.

Same I only got a 3ds when it came out for OOT and didnt touch it again. This year I've played on the 3DS way more than my switch working my way through SMT games and I have a load of Dragon Quest and FE games to get through as well.
Ircha, I love love love the 3ds. I have four of them (one regular, 3 XL), and a big stack of games. Also another stack of DS games which can be played on the 3ds. I love the Switch, but I often go back to the 3ds. I can’t believe that you haven’t played DQ8 though. I’m glad you’re playing it now. Also, I have that exact case as you. I got it on Amazon.

3DS hit me at a weird age and time where I was not interested in Nintendo games and honestly not interested in video games In general. But I did eventually buy a 2DS at Walmart for the sole purpose of playing Pokémon games.
Yokai Watch and Monster Hunter: Stories on 3ds got me through my Pokemon fatigue a few years ago.
I really miss the 3DS being relevant and have kept playing it all along since it came out. Switch did not impact my 3DS play and I do not use Switch as a portable. DQ 8 is one of my all time favorite games. I played the heck out of it on my PS2. As for Luigi's Mansion - I tried it on the Gamecube and could not get into it then I tried it again on the 3DS and still could not get into it. Yokai Watch is a lot of fun - I have played all the 3ds Yokai Watch games.

Dragon Quest IX is the definitive DS game for me... It's massive, it's multiplayer, and characters are very customizable. It's grindy as hell but damn it has so much charm. Ircha, being late to discover things is normal and as long as you have fun, nothing else matters.

I got into Dragon Quest from playing Dragon Quest Builders 2. Highly recommend playing it if you like life-sim/farming/building customizing types of games.

Yokai Watch Is very cute and great to play on Halloween, the battle confused me a little bit but the story is nice. The story behind each yokai sometimes is very sad. 💜

DQ 8 is one of the best JRPGs ever made. I'm going back to my ps3 to play some Red Dead and Gran Turismo and also my xbox360 elite to replay Halo 4, Halo 1 Anniversary and Skyrim, so I understand the feeling. The Switch is also coming for the ride :)
I have some "3DS moments" from time to time. Monster Hunter 3 & 4 make me go back to it. The artstyle on those is just so nice.
I'm most proud of my 3ds collection, so many good games.
I still have a handful of games for the 3DS I want to collect, but the prices of some are just insane (looks at Yokai Watch 3). Il get there some day but being so close makes me want to splurge and get the rest.

The 3DS is one of my favorite consoles! The 3DS games on it are amazing but you can also play DS, GBA, SNES, and can even emulate other consoles! Love the 3DS!

I got my when it came out 2011 but I miss Nintendo 3D show hosted by Jessie Cantrell and Reggie Fils Aime retiring, and Owata passing I hade a great moment with it I’ll never forget it those were magic moments with it 😢 no I’m waiting for the PS3 to make it for to 2026 🤞
