In today's video, I talk about why the 3DS is literally the perfect console to buy in 2022 for one primary reason.
Personally, the 3DS is one of my favorite consoles of all time, and in my opinion, it has multiple reasons as to why it should be the console many people buy this year.

I need a bit of help I just recently order a all in one 3ds/ds it's a cartridge and it says it had 4300 games
@@kongvang1282 that's probably a flashcart with preloaded ds game roms, iirc they can't put 3ds games on them
Ok thanks
Does it comes with it's own storage because its 4300 games and that's all lot and I only have about 2 gb on my 3ds
@@kongvang1282 yeah the games should all be stored on the cartridge
I literally bought a 3ds for my birthday this year for nostalgic purposes, then i learned like 3 days later you can mod it and get any game you pretty much want. Definitely worth doing.
How did you got about doing this? I'm really looking towards getting one, and I'd like to try this
@@somedude9590 same plz
@@somedude9590 I got mine from Etsy pre-modded with hundreds of games.
Wow I've hard mine for almost 6 years
I want to do it too but my father will allow it 2 months after eshop closure
Literally just bought a 'new' 2DS XL yesterday (secondhand). Looking forward to finally playing some of the classic games on this console natively, rather than emulating them.
Ayyyy i hope you enjoy :))))
Shin megami tensei 4 is a must
is it better than emulating?
@@zenath3125 the screen looks great and you do get a 2nd screen which many games uses well
how much were you able to nab it for?
Bought a 3DS XL last year after literally a decade of admiring from afar. Having a blast playing Kirby: Planet Robobot right now. It's so easy to pick up and bang out a couple of levels, maybe a boss fight and then close it and go do something else. Such a great system.

I am so happy that so many people are going back to the 3DS! Since the eshop closure announcement, I have had over 6 streetpass tags compared to last year and the year before that when I only received 1 tag in a span of over 24 months. So if you want to get in to that sort of thing go buy a 3DS soon!
yeah it is honestly amazing to see the 3ds get love again because since the switch release I feel like not many are giving it enough love
I need 2 more pink panels in puzzle swap > Mii Plaza.
@@LaiyenZ what is street pass
So glad I picked up a 3DS xl when I did. I love the switch too. But maybe I need to take my DS out to see if I get any street pass tags. I got it before Animal Cross new horizons came out so I could play new leaf to see what the hype of AC was haha
@Eli Zasand I love the games. Definitely worth checking out. I love the Pokémon series too! I was so excited when I saw that Pokémon yellow was on the Eshop on the DS. I also play Pokémon Go
The 3DS had a TON of amazing 3rd party games. Resident Evil Revelations is what got me into the series. I also just realized I have 50% of the entire 3DS library!
im glad everyone is calling me out about resident evil revelations cus I never thought to check it out but hearing the overwhelmingly positive reviews has caused me to buy it lol. Ill defo make a review soon
Metal gear solid 3D as well. The Pokémon games are all laughably better with free online, the selection of other rpgs is pretty good I'd say because of atlus and square. The Zelda remakes are also pretty solid and link between worlds is amazing.

In 2020 I was hired at my local Kohl's for the holiday season to make some extra cash so I can buy gifts for Christmas that year. When I did the interview process, they took us to a back room where I saw a giant steel cage with hundreds of Nintendo Switches locked up inside in time for Black Friday. I've never seen that many consoles in one room at a time and I really wanted one! I was hired and I worked my butt off to save money for gifts and also for me to buy something big! My birthday is in December btw and I got a big paycheck around my b-day week. The funny thing is, I noticed in the small gaming section they had THREE completely new 2DSxLs for $150 each. I thought 💭 might as well buy a DS since those aren't gonna be around for long and wait to get a switch later 💭. So I told my superior to open the glass door so I can purchase it with our employee discount, she said "WAIT until tomorrow cause there's a sale and u can get a 35% discount." I said okay and waited the next day... I bought a COMPLETELY NEW 2DSXL FOR $105 TOTAL. AND IT CAME WITH MARIO KART 7! After I was dismissed from the seasonal job in January, I saved up enough money to buy myself a Nintendo Switch Lite 😂😂 I got them a month apart lol
YAAAAY!
Damn dude if you ever think of selling let me know man
Holy crap, If i try to search one of these it might end up as the nintendo swich price or more (at least whre I live)
I still remember when the 3DS had a rocky launch and everyone just knew for SURE the PSVita would absolutely slaughter it. Funny how things turn out.
Yeah cause sony is stupid lack of AAA games and the infamous pricy memory card.
modding my new 3ds back in 2020 was the best decision i ever made. emulating consoles like gba and super nintendo works really well and it's super easy to just take the 3ds with you bc of it's size. also the library has a lot of banger (especially if you like rpgs)
Easily my favorite game console. I take the original 3DS everywhere due to its compact size, excellent build quality and amazing catalogue of great games!
Plus in my case (and I imagine many other people) I still have an abundance of games that I'm yet to play and planning to, so it will definitely continue to be loved for years to come!
I own a 3DS and I can completely agree to everything you've said in this video. You should've mentioned awesome mods like CTGP-7 though.
The OG 3DS will always have a special place in my heart.I still have my aqua blue from launch looking nearly new.Came out when i was in highscool and the amount of people i found on street pass was crazy haha good times
I recently bought the 3ds again after selling my old one and been loving it so much. I doubt it will happen, but I hope Nintendo chooses to keep the Eshop open longer to keep its games accessible

I got a 2DS for my birthday back in 2014, and have loved it ever since. A lot of people may not exactly like the look of the system, but for me it's special since it was my first introduction to the amazing library of games. Glad I still have it today.
man i love the Nintendo 2DS original and i literally have one.... i love Nintendo 3DS system and I'll always love
I have the 2DS Zelda edition (green/brown color scheme). The wedge looks weird but it is surprisingly comfortable and I love it.
@@patrickcollier7090 Honestly I feel the same way about how surprisingly comfortable it is to hold.
@@prod.elevator I have the original 2DS for me it's not about how it looks but how it plays, I purchased the 2DS because I wanted to save money but now I have 40+ games on my 2DS, although I haven't picked it up as much since I got my Gen 1 switch around launch.
Modded my New 3ds last week, complete with emulation and DS roms - couldn't be happier.
Glad I watched this video after the fact to validate my decision and put my tumultuous mind at ease. Can't wait to experience everything it unlocks on the 3ds, and the games I grabbed before the eShop closure that I missed.
I currently own a 2DS I got back brand new from Walmart on January 3rd 2019. It was the New Super Mario Bros. 2 red 2DS bundle and although I co-owned a switch with my brother and had an Xbox One to myself, the 2DS was a magical experience. Although its the end of the 3DS'es life, I am about to buy a New 3DS from a second-hand game store in a few days. I watched this so I could confirm my decision and it locked into place. Nice video, liked and subbed!
I just bought one of the slab 2DS's as a back up for when my 3ds breaks down. I kinda love the niche it fills because it was built with small children in mind so it'll ideally handle wear and tear better.
The slab 2ds is one of my favorite pieces of Nintendo hardware ever. Gives me game boy bibes
Vibes
The slab 2ds is actually very comfortable to hold and the cheapest model. It's also tougher since it doesn't have that very breakable hinge. I love mine! I have several others but the 2ds is easiest for me to hold without hand cramping. It's not as expensive to get either, although the prices are going up a bit. Get a Japanese region model and brew it, and it will play cartridges from any other region!
Ever since High School until now, I've only ever wanted a DS as a console. Yeah sure there is a PS5 now but growing up with a DS all the sequel to the games I loved could only be played on 1 console, the 3DS. And so if you we're to make me pick between a Brand New PS5 or a second hand new Nintendo 2DS XL, I would I'd pick the NN2DSXL without hesitation.
And here I am at the age of 25 without a 3DS to own because, well life sucks haha. And I'm happy to see content creators giving love to the 3DS in 2022, it gives me hope that I'll be able to fulfill this dream one day and when that day comes it will all have been worth it.
Yo, I feel the same way as you! Although i own a couple 3ds consoles (cus I’m a Nintendo fanboy lmfao) i always find it such a hard decision whether or not to buy a new ps5 or get another 3ds cus i love the console so much!!!!!
im really happy you made this bcs i was planning on buying one but didn't know if it was good this helped me and i will sub
I have owned my 3DS XL since late 2012 and my first purchased game for the system was Animal Crossing New Leaf, and now in 2022 this past week I just modded my console for the same reasons you brought up. I get to access so many games on the 3DS like never before and am feeling that excitement I had when I first got my 3DS.
I bought my son a 3DS XL when he was a kid. While he was learning mario kart is was good enough fun I "needed" my own. We then added a 2DS for little sister. Fast forward 5 years and we've got 4 modded consoles having added a JDM all white 3DS LL to the list (and getting english firmware on it). I've also bought another 2DS from europe so I could shell swap some parts and I now have an all white 2DS (I have all white DMG, GBP, GBL, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, DS lite, 2DS and 3DS LL). I really enjoy the 3DS and it's library as it feels like a cleaner portable version of the N64.
One of the absolute highlights of this system beyond what you've mentioned, the anniversary edition of 4 swords from the DS item shop is AMAZING with multiplayer on the 3DS (or DS). I found a copy online and we've had a blast with that.
I'm not ashamed to say I sold my Nintendo Switch OLED and brought both a 3DS XL and an OG 3DS.
So much fun loading up homebrew, and playing my favorite GBA games on the go, with Hshop, and an R4 cart all in one, absolutely nuts what this can do
I have a switch OLED and a 3Ds XL.
i recently bought a 3DS XL on eBay and man, i'm excited!
I have a 2DS but I’m wanting to pick up an XL for a friend and 3DS for myself. Super excited about it!
I recently bought a new 3DS XL for the first time and I am loving it! It is ultra light weight, I can take it in almost any bag and it has a LOT to play! For someone as myself who was missing this generation this is incredible
I am planning on getting one thanks to this video!
Great video! I completely agree that it's the perfect console for 2022. I am personally still collecting for and playing it. I get really excited when I find a good deal on a complete physical game. However now that the eShop is closing I need to turn to digital and eShop exclusives that I can't miss out on.
I'm pretty sure I first got my New Nintendo 3DS around Christmas 2016/2017, and I still put in many hours of gameplay into it. There's honestly so many good games on it like Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Miitopia, and all the Pokemon games on the system.
I owned an old 3DS as a kid, and when it was announced that the eShop was closing, I decided to try my hand at modding a console for the first time.
It's unbelievable how much life has been given to this console I haven't touched in over a decade. All the homebrew and customization options! Being able to play my whole childhood library I owned on the go without bringing cartridges! It's been a joy and such a great system to pick up and play again.
Now, I'm hoping to snag a "New" XL edition of either a 3DS or 2DS (Whatever comes first). The secondhand market is a bit rough, but It's not impossible to find one at a fair price. Good luck if you're searching!
I honestly want to have like 10 of these going into the future, one of the best systems ever. Even if they stop support soon most physical games are insert and play. I got my first one at a thrift shop for like 30 bucks in 2016, 3d always turned on, I love that function. Have two "New" an XL and I just fixed my og Aqua blue bottom screen replacement (slipped on ice with it in my back pocket), A button cleaning, and about to replace the LR ribbon cables.
I have a 3dsxl but don’t know where to start on homebrewing or modding it. Is it fairly simple or complex to where if I mess one thing up the whole system gets trashed?
@@Lion-9103 I did mine on a Saturday morning. It took maybe 2 hours and wasn't too difficult. There are some really good guides that are easily accessible and have all the links you need.
do you have a tutorial you followed? this whole homebrew thing is really confusing to me
I've been waiting for the 3ds video
like you ive adored the ds to 3ds line, even through its roughest times. Recently i decided to breathe new life into my new 3ds xl that i got all the way back in 2016 or so and homebrewed it. Boy is it an amazing decision
I owned a 3DS, then i bought a New 3DS XL. Wow. The 3D effect is really improved. The New is the console that is used to be from the beginning; like Wii Motion Plus is used to be the controller of Wii.
I think my english is not very good, but the message is that I really enjoy the New 3DS XL. Now I'm playing at Triforce Heroes with my brothers.
I had a 3ds I bought when I was young but I had to sell it. A month ago I bought a New 3ds Pikachu edition and I think I finally understand its greatness, at first it was a good console but now it's like the ultimate handheld (until the switch has better ways to install CFW) it has a great library and a ton of emulators, so you never run out of games to play
thanks for this im boutta get me a new 2ds xl to finally play a bunch of games i've wanted to for ages
I bought a new 3DS XL on Ebay. It’s due to arrive very soon. Can’t wait to play it!!
Recently modded my old 3ds xl and its amazing how many games there are that I didnt get to play years ago
Yo really great video! I always feel like the 3DS is still Nintendo's underdog when it came to this whole 2000s generation, idk what they call it nowadays...
Yeah not enough people appreciate it
bought a 2ds in 2015, recently got around to modding it . it completely revived my love for this console!
I had a nintendo 3ds since i was 4 and i still keep it to this day, i still enjoy my 3ds today, the games are absolutly clasics and bangers, its really sad that the eshop its going to end on 2023, but modding cant prevent me for enjoy so many games, its kinda really nostalgic.
Love my modded New 3DS XL, I can put like a hundred games on a 128go SD and play on the go, not necessarily 3DS games but also PS1, N64, Saturn, DS, GBA, and older systems, let alone other functionalities that unlock when you mod the console, definitely the best retro gaming handheld out there.
wait, the New 3ds can run ps1 games?
@@AdAce21 not amazingly, but well enough.
i do own a modded 3ds xl which i use almost all the time i never thought i would have it for so long and still be using it till this day I'm super glad i didn't sell mine as well sense there value is sky rocketing tbh Nintendo should take a hint and give us another 3ds type console I'd love to see all the games i practically grew up with get put into a possibly hd 4k running 3ds console it could also hold some of the 3ds Pokémon games I'm just saying a 3ds type console that can play all those 3ds games in hd would be an amazing selling point Nintendo should take advantage of anyone agree
agree 100%! I find the 3ds design much better than the switch's, the switch hurts my hands with its awkward buttons placement.. and the clamshell design of the 3ds makes it more durable and easy to bring everywhere. if only they made a new console like that with better graphics that would be amazing
I've been a long-time 3DS modder, glad to see people are still having interest in my favorite video game handheld.
I got my “New” 3DS XL in the mail today. I love it a lot. It joins my DS Lite, DSi XL and Switch (Oled) handheld systems. 😃
The Wii was my early childhood console and the 3DS was one of the best consoles I’ve ever had. I have a bit more than 10 games on it if I remember correctly and a lot of them are my favorites of all time. I got it back in July 2013. I remember going through a magazine and finding a 3DS bundle with a pink 3DS XL, animal crossing new leaf, and the charging cable. I spent days begging my parents to get it because I just felt like I needed it, I thought I would die if I didn’t get it (I really said that lol). Something about it was just, familiar ? Idk it felt like a part of me and it has been for almost 10 years now. I would like to try and mod a 3DS, but I’m not confident enough to mod mine because I’m scared of things going wrong and losing everything. It would be heartbreaking. Maybe I’ll be able to buy a new 3DS XL to mod it, plus it has more buttons so it’s better for emulating games of different platforms.
I hope the 3DS community will stay alive for many years, this console has great games and potential
I accidentally discovered 3ds out of curiosity in 2017 (I wasn't really into gaming at that time), so I decided to buy a 2ds with NSMB 2. Later on, in 2018, I found a New 3ds XL for 300 lei ($60) and -- you know what happened. Since then, my game library has increased tremendously and, sadly, this year I had to say goodbye to my 2ds. A friend of mine wanted me to trade my 2ds for his PS3 and it was impossible to turn down his offer. Even though I have invested some money into repairing the PS3 and buying some games, I still think it was worth it. The 2ds will always stay in my hearth.
I own 2 3DSs, one American, and one Japanese. Both are the "New 3DS XL" model. I bought them back in 2016 as means of upgrading from the 3DS launch model, which I had bought in 2011 and 2015, respectively. I've recently been enjoying the post-story content in the NA version of Etrian Odyssey 1 Untold and also discovered how good a game Legend of Legacy is after getting it on the cheap from the Japanese 3DS eShop.
The 3DS is honestly my favorite console EVER!
I have a New Nintendo 2DS XL and it's simply beautiful, I of course installed CFW on it and maybe or maybe not installed over 200 games via NOT the eShop.... But can you blame me? Most of them have ridiculous prices on the physical market or are discontinued from the eShop or they were never available on the eShop. The 3DS probably has the best first party library on all of Nintendo's portable history, great games, retro compatible with all DS games or even DS Flash cartridges with CFW, an incredible line of Virtual Console titles and can emulate everything up to PS1, I can play Crash 2 in Japanese on this thing for crying out loud!! I always carry around my New 2DS XL, not only because I want to have all my games in my pocket at all times, but also because I have hope that someday that green light will turn on again to recibe another fellow 3DS user on my plaza.
The amount of exclusivity is what made me mod my 3DS as well
Never looked back since
You and me both, my friend. I too carry my 3DS around hoping someday I would get a streetpass tag from a fellow user.
You should do a video recommending what titles to get before the eshop closes
I definitely plan on making that video soon!
just bought a new 3DS (not xl) and i'm very excited about it! nice video :]
Decided to pick up my childhood 3DS for 2011/2012 recently and I love it, been playing new super Mario and I homebrewed it so I can play Mario RPG
The 3DS is literally the Kirby machine. I’m pretty sure it has around over 20 Kirby games if you count stuff like the Virtual Console. I could be wrong though.
It's also infamously the Pokémon machine, too
You can also play the DS games. Along with the GBA games after modding. But I'd recommend playing those on a modded DSi XL instead as it has a _much_ better image quality for those consoles.
It's also a Dragon Quest machine. Even XI is on there! Although, it was not localized... Maybe some day there will be a fan translation.
And that’s why it’s the best console ever.
Do you own a 3DS or plan on buying one?

The shell on the back of the system is broken (but I still keep it on), it can't count steps, the camera won't load in the camera app, and there's 2 lines of dead pixels on the touch screen.
Everything else works fine.
I've currently got 2 3DSs, one 2DS and one 2DS XL Pikachu edition. I bought my XL a few years ago to relive some 3DS Pokemon goodness and just got my other 2DS a few months ago to mod it, it's been great and although I haven't done heaps with it yet, I'm keen to see what I can do with it later.
I got a 3DS XL for Christmas 2021, and I LOVE IT
It’s true, modding the 3ds is magic, I wish I could do that to switch but I think with 3ds, all those themes, modding features and classic emulators, I have to say yes to 3ds.
I got my 3ds (og model) when on my 9th birthday and the first game i was given was Legend of Zelda: ocarina of time 3D. Let me tell you, That's how i got more into Zelda (Tp was my aunt's game, skyward sword wasn't out, and the DS games weren't looking to good for me), THE Second i got sent to bed, I booted up the DS and game, It was amazing. I didn't think much of Zelda games before but For the next WEEK i had been Playing it religiously, asking my aunt for advice, etc... Ayyyyy cool story! I agree the 3ds defo helped with my love for Zelda as well
Just ordered a 'new' 3DS xl secondhand; can't wait for it to arrive!
Very nice man! I bought a brand-new new 3DS XL in box. I wanted to replay my 3DS games since it's been a while, and I wanted to experience the improved 3D that comes with the New 3DS and New 3DS XL. My old 3DS blue lagoon has turned 11 yo (actually I bought it right before Nintendo droped the price from 249 to 179 back in july 2011, like a month before so I got the ambassador program with free NES and GBA games on it) and I've never played with any of the "New" or "XL" variants (I had a DS Lite, then a DSI and then the old 3DS), so I'm quite excited!
I have the 3DS XL in the galaxy design. Love it! Much more portal then the switch (depending). I started playing before ACNH came out to play Animal crossing new leaf to see what the hype was about! I’m slowly picking up a few games here and there to add to collection. I also like the fact you can play just DS games on it!
I just discovered the Etrian Odyssey series a year ago on the 3ds. I didn't expect to play on the 3ds for so long after the Switch came out. There are just so many good games on the 3ds that it feels like you'll never get bored.
I just picked up Etrian Odessy Nexus on an eshop sale after having it on my list for a while now. I am glad I did. It is such a fun game and has many unique ideas that are well implemented.
@@patrickcollier7090 they did a great job taking the dual screen and the touch screen as the main core of the gameplay. I have to play nexus after i'm done with the first EO.

Yeah the 3ds is insanely great, I love my New 3DS, it's my favorite console. Modding it is very easy now, has been for years and the community is amazing. The things you can do on this machine will blow your mind. It has great PS1 emulation now. You can make your own amiibos with chips that cost 12 bucks for a pack of fifty on amazon. There is even a community patch that completely fixes Majora's Mask 3D.

Agreed. Got the Happy Home Designer Edition last year and I'm really intrigued by this console. Thinking about getting a New 3DS XL now. ;)
Zero Escape VLR isn't that bad at all, actually, despite being in the 2012 release list. It's maybe a bit hard to get into as the first game played from the Zero Escape series, but if you like the first one, the second one is definitely worth checking out. It's slightly cheesy, but I still liked the concept and story behind everything.
Gaming moment imo
Old i know but i got one for my birthday and i love it!! Playing LM2 atm is fantastic
i heard "mid" as a description so immediate sub, great video!
one word. homebrew.
Yup!
I molded my 3ds like 3 days ago and its honestly one of the best decisions I've ever made, I have a switch but games are overpriced as hell so I usually find my time spent playing hours of 3ds gams like dbz extreme butoden, supermario 3d land or ocarina of time 3d I 100% reccomend any nintendo fans to mod ur 3ds if its just lying there or to just buy a molded one online
What’s the purpose of modding it?
@@openhealthopenmind Since the 3DS eshop is getting shutdown the only way to get games will probably be resale which would be overpriced so modding the system allows us to pretty much get whatever 3ds game you want and even snes, gameboy and gba games too.

Got a new 2ds xl a while back after my original 2ds stopped working. Best decision ever. Not only does it have a bunch of games that 1. run better and 2. are exclusive but with homebrew it can do alot more. If you have a original 2ds I would recommend this one.
Just modded my dusty 2ds xl, and truly it's the best and most exciting thing I've done in awhile. So many incredible games across decades (FOR FREE), all on one console. Totally agree with you. I hardly use my Switch anymore since I modded my 2ds.

I have a 3DS XL and I am SO GLAD that I do. My grandma got it for me 5 or 6 years ago which was amazing because I was still working with a DS lite. I loved it, but the battery was declining and it started dying on me while I was playing games. So this gift came at the perfect time!
My youngest brother has inherited my other brother’s 3DS XL since he passed away almost 2 years ago, and I’m glad to still have someone to share the excitement with about these consoles, since my cousins are now way beyond gaming on handhelds, or gaming in general.
I probably won’t home brew my console. It just seems overwhelming to me. But I am really bummed about the eshop and eventually the servers. The switch cannot hold a candle to playing online on a 3DS, or doing DS download play with a friend.
I'm so excited because my 3ds newly bought is dropping today!
Honestly the 3DS is my favourite console ever. It had an amazing lineup of games, could play all DS games and had virtual console plus so many more features. It was the first handheld that did not feel like a handheld. It felt like a real console rather than just a handheld. Plus the Wii U was a disaster so I think many people (including myself) played the 3DS far more and treated it like Nintendo's main console for the years the Wii U was exploding
I own maybe over 200 of these handhelds, just love collecting them. What is odd though I pay the standard 2DS more than anything else lol and its one or if not the cheapest out there. Sad the eshop is closing though.
where do u get good deals on em
I think that I've had mine for about 8 or 9 years and I've really grown to love it. It was the best thing I had as a kid and even now in college I still play it and the library as its mentioned in the video is extremely expansive. There are terrible games on this thing and amazing games. One thing that I'm really glad that Laiyen pointed out is the fact that this console is super easy to mod. I only recently found this out and it made me want to play my 3ds even more. Because of how easy it is to mod you can play virtuely any game in so far as it fits the specs of the console relatively speaking. I just love that it has a ton of battery life and I can still take it anywhere and never get bored. Chronotrigger, pokemon, donkey kong country and more are all games that I love and can play wherever. So seriously get a 3ds lol. Also if you do get one all of them are easy to mod but I do recommend the new 3ds because that model has the most compatible hardware but either way you can still use any of them!
I purchased 3 DS Lites which are great for Gameboy and NDS games. I also got an R4 card to play any game I want. The rarest roms are the DSi Ware games, I just installed Homebrew on my 3DS and now I have access to any game I want. The DS is a classic and will always be a favorite. Some DSi Ware games I got were Domo, Photo Dojo, and Flipnote. You can still connect to the Flipnote servers and the community is still very much alive.
The girl that gave me and my sister my original 3ds got run over on Halloween hopefully she is Alive
This is actually a true story

Plan on buying 1 soon for nostalgia and just to have something fun to use on the go
Yes, I own a New 3ds LL (Japanese Version).
I plan on modding it this weekend after getting PSX, PS2, and PSP emulation working so well on my wife's old Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone. I'm excited to have the 3ds modded and playing some very nostaligic titles on the system.
Homebrewed my 2DS last year and it's amazing lol
best decision i ever made!!!!
hello
hello
Bought the New 3Ds XL a year and a half ago.. I now have a library of over 44 games. Love it!
Kinda glad I have kept ahold of my 2ds and new 3ds xl, probably the most fun I've had out of games in a while, kinda grew up at the stage where I didn't really understand much, my mom just bought me Mario kart 7 and that was basically the game I'd play until next year when I'd get a new one, but I honestly think without the ds, one of the greatest line of consoles to this day, is the reason I got into gaming, and I can't thank it enough
Just bought a 3DS XL for £73 in total before seeing this.
Honestly, I've think I've made the right decision, considering the eShop closure in 2023.
I've always wanted to own one, mainly just due to New Leaf (New Horizons was also what made me mainly buy my Switch). I can't wait to play some 3DS games in all honesty, it kinda makes my Nintendo collection more complete (only really missing a GameCube, GBA (currently have a GBC), N64 and NES).
GBA games are playable on 3DS thought right
@@mistressbayonetta9829 Yes, but no.
I'm pretty sure you only got 10 digital GBA VC games if you're an early adopter, this is the only way to get it, unless you mod your 3DS and emulate a GBA.
The DS and DS Lite do have native compatibility with GBA games though.
Funny how the wii u is in the trash. I bet my left testicle that in 5 to 6 years from now it's going to be sought after and prices will sky rocket. Prices had been climbing on ebay as of now. The wii u will be the next sega Saturn.
i can definitely see that happening since the prices have already been climbing
The fact you can mod these with any basic windows laptop is so cool I spend almost 150 on resold carts got tired and I’m so glad got all the pokemon and Mario games all Zelda even movies so worth it
i got my first ever console the original 3ds in 2011 for my birthday and its still my favourite to date; i find myself returning to it again and again even after getting the switch.. the pure nostalgia it brings me every time i open that shiny pink clamshell never fails to fill me with joy :')
The Nintendo 3DS was the last good Nintendo console. I say that with confidence. From the Wii U not working without the gamepad and the Nintendo switch being severely underpowered for todays standards with controllers that are constantly dying, I really mean it. The Nintendo 3DS was the last console you could buy and then forget about. Aside from the new Nintendo 3DS not including a charging brick, it was a crime-free system. Everything just worked your 3DS wouldn't spontaneously stop working and the circle pad might I add was way more susceptible to dust issues yet still lasted longer. I bought a switch and the charging brick and controllers died. I bought multiple sets of controllers and they all died too. So I said fuck it we're going to go ahead and emulate anything Nintendo if we want to do it. It's not worth the goddamn money.
I got the 3DS XL for my birthday many years ago, and I LOVED it. I still have it to this day.
I got my 3ds xl (gray) alongside with mario kart in 2014, it was the best day of my life. i still have it today but its bassicaly dead, i will still have to get a new one before the eshop shuts down.
getting a 3ds in a week ! very excited to play the new titles and thx for the nintendo history
Having CFW software like Luma 3ds on my O3DS xl makes it my go to console with the amount of games i can straight up download without issues
