Excellent video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Giardini Leather edge paint
Thanks for making a great product!
Ty I love this. Looks great
Thank you.
Very nice!
But how do you stop the paint from staining the thread.
I make embroidered key fobs also and most times I use same color of thread as the faux leather or I use black thread.
I don’t get paint on the thread, if I do it’s an accident.
The paint would definitely stain or colour the thread.
It’s important to be slow and careful to just get it on the edge.
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! a question, I am using a different brand and I have a terrible problem, it continues cracking on the more flexibles parts it doesn't matter how I do apply the paint, at the beginning looks beautiful and after a few days the paint cracks, does this happend to you with this paint in this kind of pieces?, I can see you create very flexible and high traffic pieces and still looks amazingly ! thanks on advance!
Hi, that is very sad, that after all the work painting it, it cracks. I am not familiar with other brands.
This is the one that I’ve used from the beginning because it worked so well on leathers that are also very pliable.
I think the only way to find out what works for each individual, is trial and error, unfortunately .
The edges look great. People always tell you what grit to use, but not the "type" of sandpaper. What type of sandpaper are you using? Thank you in advance for your response.
Hi, I don’t know what type or brand of sandpaper it is. I just grab whatever grit I need and add duct tape to the back. I would believe any sandpaper brand of the correct grit would work well.
Will this work with the very thin floppy vinyls that have fuzzy or felt backs? I have tried a coupl of times but the little threads/ fuzz keeps poking out from the sides. Granted, i can see now my technique was not on point. Thank you.
I use the floppy vinyls as well and I just use a lighter along the sides to remove any threads and fuzz. It is harder on the thinner vinyls but it can work. I use some cardboard taped onto the vinyl pieces so I can hold them straighter.
@@threadmodeembroidery2374 thanks!!
Could you please share where you purchase your vinyl? These look great!
Hi, I get most of my vinyl locally from a store in Canada called Fabricland. I also get some of the marine vinyl from Joann’s in the US. There isn’t anything specific but I just get what they have in stock.
@@threadmodeembroidery2374 Thanks for the reply. I have a Joann’s near me and will check there. Your tutorials are great.
Forgot to ask you where you got your roller.
My roller to put the paint on ? If so I have one from buckleguy . com but you can usually get them wherever the paint is sold.
Where can will get these paint
I get them from Buckleguy, but there are many sources, just do a search from your favorite leather suppliers.
