I think it's a marketing thing and also so there's time for manufacturers to make Halloween costumes if the movie is popular enough and it's enough time for you to watch in theatres and buy the film to watch near Halloween. 🎃

I have a feeling that, it's gonna have ALL of the Mansion's potential owners in it....the pirate, the bride and maybe others...and maybe they could show a backstory on the Hatbox ghost....as to why he did this, and why everyone is trapped here ...so far (in the best way) the trailers have not spoiled ANY of the major plot! They are showing us what we already know, in different forms, i also have a feeling that there is gonna be a MASSIVE story behind this house....

I could care less what skin color the mortals are, visiting the house, as long as there is good character and story. Just hope it's nothing like the last poor attempt of this attraction.
The story wasn’t much but there was so many references to the ride from the wallpaper, furniture, doors, paintings even some of the chairs that makes it enjoyable for fans of the attraction

I appreciate the fact they've actually made the ghosted look creepy. They know their audience is people who grew up with the ride and loved it. I'm getting the same feeling and vibes of the first pirates of the Caribbean movie, which is a welcome feeling.

I finally watched this movie after buying the DVD. It was OK. If you are a big fan of the haunted mansion rides like I am, you will appreciate all the subtle and not-so-subtle nods and references to the haunted mansion ride. Other than that, the movie was basically so-so. The special effects were pretty spectacular, though. It’s definitely worth watching if you’ve got nothing better to do but don’t get your hopes up unless you’re a diehard fan of the haunted mansion rides.
I noticed two takeaways here. 1. 0:31 a reference to the House of Magic shop on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom. 2. "I know a professor who knows Haunted Mansions". Perhaps multiple Haunted Mansions might be in the film.
I don't think multiple haunted mansions will be in this...the main focus is this one...although, if it is, they have hidden the plot very well in these trailers cause they don't spoil literally ANYTHING

Just finished watching! This movie had me laughing, crying and squeezing my mans hand is fright. I truly enjoyed this movie and the relationships that is portrayed. Moments in this movie were deeply emotional and centered around grief. With the end having an overwhelming theme of choosing life over death even with the hard emotions that come with it. LaKeith Stanfield did an amazing job, showing all the emotions that come with being a standup, wonderful man and husband!
Why is he not a mega-star? I’ve never understood that? LaKieth Stanfield, I mean? Every performance I’ve seen him deliver, whether dramatic, funny, or all stations in between, he nails it. He’s a subtle actor, with massive charisma and a Sean-Connery-like fascinating face that people love to watch. Why he hasn’t been offered the leading part in more block busters remains one of life’s mysteries to me? And, if it’s got Rosario Dawson in it, I’m pretty much in anyway. I adore her, in that shallow, illogical, male, smitten way, that’s capable of forcing me to adopt irrational arguments like, “maybe she had a good reason to club all those seal pups to death and everyone just leave her alone!” (I hasten to add, she has never clubbed any animals - adult or pup - to death, to my knowledge, at time of writing.) For me it’s like I was over Grace Kelly or Debbie Harry when I was a pre-teen kid. I just go all googly eyed and start dribbling on incoherently about modern standards of beauty and romantic poetry whenever she’s on any screen. She’s another one who’s been around too long for the mystery of why she isn’t an, “above the title,” star to be satisfactorily answered without suspicions of racism being a factor in her career trajectory to creep unbidden into the back of my thoughts. Sure, I’ll take the family to see this one. It looks fun and I liked that little kid’s unusually naturalistic performance. Where did they find him? Was he as good as he seemed in the trailer?
I absolutely love how they used the ballroom music as the background music in the trailer! CAN'T WAIT!!! This director and story writer CARED about the cannon and characters! This is going to be a treat!
This movie comes out on dvd October 17th. I'm definitely willing to check it out. The 2003 version was interesting, and since CGI has improved alot since that year I have high expectations for this film. It certainly made sense it took place in New Orleans which is rumored to be a haunted city.

I wasn't expecting much due to the mixed reviews. Just figured more lame woke Disney crap, but I love Disneyland and the Haunted Mansion ride, and watched it with my 9-y/o. Although she was genuinely frightened in a few scenes, she would not stop talking about wanting to see it again. Kinda like when you're young and you like being scared and that adds to the fun... Glad it was a little darker and scarier to keep her enthralled... Personally, loved the plot. It was funny, edgy, and a bit of a tearjerker at times. Is Disney back? I think so! Glad I went in with an open mind...

this movie was awesome! it hit on every single aspect of the ride, even the pictures in the hallway were the same. a really fun plot, 10/10 recommend

I'm most excited to see Jamie Lee Curtis' Madame Leota, she the best character in both the ride and the movies.

This movie comes out on dvd October 17th. I'm definitely willing to check it out. The 2003 version was interesting, and since CGI has improved alot since that year I have high expectations for this film. It certainly made sense it took place in New Orleans which is rumored to be a haunted city.

missed out in the theaters sadly, luckily it's coming to Disney+, it's gonna be available to stream on october 4th, (if you have a subscription), even better is that October's after this month (September's this month), how i know? saw it in the disney+ coming soon section on Home, also... GOOSEBUMPS IS GONNA STREAM ON THERE TOO on October 13th (it's also in the coming soon section in Home, not the movies.. BUT A NEW SHOW! YIPPEE!)
I wasn't expecting much due to the mixed reviews. Just figured more lame woke Disney crap, but I love Disneyland and the Haunted Mansion ride, and watched it with my 9-y/o. Although she was genuinely frightened in a few scenes, she would not stop talking about wanting to see it again. Kinda like when you're young and you like being scared and that adds to the fun... Glad it was a little darker and scarier to keep her enthralled... Personally, loved the plot. It was funny, edgy, and a bit of a tearjerker at times. Is Disney back? I think so! Glad I went in with an open mind...
The Masterpiece of Horror has finally returned, thank you Disney for remaking our favorite movie.
