Watch the new trailer for Disney & Pixar's Inside Out 2, only in theaters June 14! #Insideout2
The little voices inside Riley’s head know her inside and out-but next summer, everything changes when Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” introduces a new Emotion: Anxiety. According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” said Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.” A trailer, poster and film stills are now available for what promises to be the feel-good (or feel-everything) film of Summer 2024.
Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, “Inside Out 2” releases only in theaters Summer 2024. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I like the detail that envy is small because it makes you feel small and embarrassment is big because you feel like you're super noticable
Envy is very cute too... I am sure Pixar designed her like this to show that envy is impossible to satisfy no matter how pretty or successful one is!!
I feel like I also get innocent but not innocent vibes from envy
wow, that’s an amazing way to see it!
And Anxiety is drawn with their features out of proportions because that’s how we act when we’re anxious - blow things out of proportions.
Bro... no one talk about the jar scene ? Im a man of culture you know... the pony... IN THE JAR... you remember ? ;-)
“Riley’s life requires more sophisticated emotions than all of you,” says Anxiety speaking to Joy. That was a crazy bar if I ever heard one. I feel growing up made it harder to just be joyous/happy with nothing else.
Didn’t Joy already learn that lesson though? That was like the entire point of the first movie.
@@iamcat1797
No, Joy had to learn the importance of Sadness for Riley's well-being in the first movie.
@@iamcat1797 in the first movie, it was jot trying to keep Riley upbeat and happy all the time, and having a distinct dislike for sadness but realizing she's integral too. This seems more like a chaotic hostile takeover by anxiety (which can be in the clinical, medicated case rather than just puberty). It's not really sharing emotions, it's anxiety literally taking over everything because, well, it's anxiety and it needs to feel that control in an increasingly (seemingly) uncontrollable world. And to them, simple emotions cant/won't protect Riley, because they are...simple

Emotions are the vibrant hues painting the canvas of human experience. From the euphoric highs of joy to the profound depths of sorrow, they shape our perceptions and actions. Love envelops us in warmth, while anger ignites like wildfire. Fear tightens its grip, while hope whispers promises of better days. Sadness washes over like a heavy rain, cleansing the soul of pain. Emotions connect us, binding hearts in empathy or tearing them apart in conflict. They dance within us, orchestrating the symphony of our existence, reminding us that to feel deeply is to be undeniably alive, navigating the labyrinth of the human condition.

Love Pixar for establishing fear and anxiety as two very different emotions. They're too commonly grouped together as synonyms rather than acknowledged as distinctive feelings.
My farts are better than Pixar's farts.
I actually making an art thesis about Anxiety Disorder right now.
And man.. there's a lot of pages to explain why "Anxiety " and "Fear" are two different thing.
I like to think that Fear is to worry about a known threat, Anxiety is to worry about an unknown threat.
Why have they not added another positive emotion. Contentment, or love. Joy having to do even heavier lifting
What I appreciate about the first movie, they could have made Fear a total chicken-wuss (brilliant vocab, I know), but he knows he has a job to do. That part where Riley starts to run away for the bus near the end, and he stops her like "are we sure we want to do this?". That, I liked. Shows Fear has a brain. I guess there's fear (one's own safety, somebody's safety, etc), and there's cowardice.
I was not expecting the new emotions to take over Riley’s mind, now this is gonna be one epic of a movie.
Thinking about it makes sense considering Riley is a teenager and these emotions really come to the surface during this time.
It feels like the same movie, except 5 emotions experience Riley's mental breakdown from the outside instead of 2.

Given how Sadness (my favourite❤) was instantly drawn to Embarrassment, I feel like there’ll be something around: each basic emotion connecting and working with their ‘adequate’ new emotion e.g. Fear with Anxiety, Sadness with Embarrassment etc.
And maybe, the movie will be about how to accept all these emotions instead of fighting them and how to:
1. Make them work together in a healthy way (as in how to ultimately make the best ‘reasonable’ decisions for Riley)
2. How to express them in a healthy way
3. How to canalise them in a healthy way

When Joy asked Sadness when she ever steered her wrong, she technically did in the first movie where she fails to understand Sadness’s true purpose which is so that Riley could get the empathy and sympathy she needs from her friends and family when she has a problem or is depressed about something to feel better again and has been preventing Sadness from doing her job of making Riley sad for those moments when she needs it in favor of just making Riley happy believing it will always make Riley feel positive and good inside while sadness will just make her feel worse in bad situations which is what lead to the whole conflict happening in the first movie that we all understand if we watched that movie, but at the end Joy did finally understand Sadness’ true purpose and learned that happiness doesn't always fix everyone’s problems and sadness and fear and anger and disgust can too and she reconciled with Sadness and finally approved of her role as one of Riley’s important emotions and role in making Riley sad when she needs it to the point where she becomes supportive and optimistic towards her for in the second movie instead of pessimistic and unsupportive about it like she initially was in the first movie.
That bit with the sar-chasm is absolutely brilliant
My farts are better than Pixar's farts.
@@p-__ bro what
Genius indeed
@@elmind74they're not wrong
@TheOneNamedMrLife Good pun 😆
I like that in this one its not just joy and sadness going on an adventure its all of the old characters!
True or else there would be no character development at all.
I love this movie already😊
"We are suppressed EMOTIONS!"
Well, that's a clever way to portray it lol! I can't wait to see this movie 😭❤️
*Pixar inspires me... My parents said if I get 25k foIIowers, they'd buy me a professionaI camera for recording... literally begging you guys...*
@@universaltoonskeep begging lil bro
Yeah fosho!!!!!
I have all of those but the brace is I’m 10 I git it Riley
Hajaja
I love how you can tell Riley through her design that she still has her happy core, but that she's clearly growing up, too
I thought you said demon core 💀💀💀🧽🐙
@@michaeldreemurrandhisaus2165Same thing.
Yes i love her new design! ❤
0:16 NO, NO! THAT’S NOT OURS!!!
0:20 Disgust flips her beautiful hair
Yes Of course they're so beautiful. and she's got a beautiful lipstick
I remember first watching inside out when I was 7 back in 2015, man the nostalgia❤❤😊
Okay, I wasn't expecting Anxiety to _literally_ bottle up Riley's emotions, but that's a really cool twist! Really hyped for this movie!
My farts are better than Pixar's farts
I love when Fear says: "We're suppressed emotions!"
Pure emotions vs Self Awareness. The brain vs the heart.
Huh.
That's actually pretty clever.
obviously not a twist if it's in the trailer, it'll probably happen early on in the movie just like in the first one joy and sadness got lost really at the beginning
0:45 0:53 I feel like Envy and Disgust will have a Big Sister/ Little Sister relationship because they both look similar and seeing Disgust hold Envy is just too adorable.
Bro... no one talk about the jar scene ? Im a man of culture you know... the pony... IN THE JAR... you remember ? ;-)

For sure... Obviously

At 1:46, on the screens in the background you can see Riley’s anxiety potential scenarios. These include falling, chipping a tooth and (bottom left corner) a variation of the distracted boyfriend meme. I assume Riley is afraid that someone she likes may be crushing on the cool girl. Love the attention to detail.
Oh I just love how Riley's design looks!
1:28 this is genuinely the first time I've ever seen a teenage character with acne but where its just a normal part of their design and not a visual gag or being made fun of and it honestly made me so happy to see it
Yeah, and she looks so adorable!! 😭
@yettispaghetti6784 Ikr!!!
“Acne” she had *one* spot on her face.
@@reno239literally they coulda done a bit more okay💀
@@reno239that’s one more spot than 99% of teenage animated characters
I really like the new emotion's designs, especially Envy having such giant eyes like she's admiring everyone around her. I also love how Embarrassment is a giant creature who always wants to feel tiny, kinda like how you feel like when you get emabrrassed.
And how Embarrassment is embarrassing in every way with this big nose and his backside looking out of his pants.
makes total sense
The character design is so brilliant 🎉
Repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
But why is anxiety an emotion when anxiety is just a constant state of fear? And fear is already one of the emotions?
I love that this movie is back in the like light and it's going to explore the other emotions we feel as human beings, just like the first one but this time in the mind of a teenage Riley. We all have anxiety and nervousness/Envy/boredom/embarrassment
I think one of the coolest part about this film being released almost 10 years after the first film, is that the children that grew up seeing this movie are likely going through what Riley is in this film.
Puberty.
Several therapists have attested to how Inside Out helped young children understand and process their emotions, and now those children are growing up and developing feelings they have even less understanding of. My parents kind of glossed over having any of these discussions and didn't address them until they became problematic, so I hope adults and even therapists see this movie to help their young pre-teens/teens navigate the misery of puberty.
Oooh I am the excact case of what you said!
Bro... no one talk about the jar scene ? Im a man of culture you know... the pony... IN THE JAR... you remember ? ;-)
@@ManOfCulture1992 Get help, touch grass
YESSS as someone who grew up with this movie, I'm now 17 and so excited to see some representation of the horrible time we call puberty :D!
Currently a teen rn and man this trailer is already relatable 😭
as a teenageer, calling Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear "surpressed emotions" is actually so realistic and this is the first disney movie im excited for in ages.
as a 15 y/0 who watched the first movie in cinemas the time it released I agree with everything you said
*okay Bro like I care my videos are better 😂😂*
FR I’M EXCITED TOO THIS SEEMS LIKE IT’S GONNA BE SO GOOD
*Pixar
Same!
