I said come in, don't stand there. - Hry
I feel like the "alcohol healing psyche damage" mechanic would work better as a temporary solution. The alcohol only lasts for so long and then you sober up and have to deal with your problems. As long as you keep yourself perma-wasted, you never have to confront the horrible things you've done.
You know, like real life.
Hahaha based
Or if you are constantly drunk, that ruins your aiming and reaction time on top of causing health issues. You know, like real life.
@@Noperare Not sure about that . Alcohol is consider performance boosting drug in shooting competition. It actually help steady your aim. Provided that you don’t drink too much
@@centercannothold yea if anything, becoming dependent on it would make your aim worse without it.
You get to that Malcolm Lowry status of having to drink so you act more sober. More sober than you would be with the alcohol dying in you, anyway.
True fact: My ex had an uncle who was a member of the first group of firefighters who entered Chernobyl after the accident. He outlived every other member of his team who (of course) died from the radiation exposure and the _official medical explanation_ given why he outlasted his fellow firefighters was that he was an alcoholic
Lmao
Lol
🤣🤣🤣
@@gnucompiler it is abit funny mate
@@gnucompiler Grow up, would you? Nobody's saying some dude being an alcoholic is funny, nobody's saying him dying is funny, the amusing bit is that the reason given by a medical professional for this man living longer than his comrades was that he was an alcoholic. "He lived longest because he was an alcoholic" is such a distinctly unusual thing for a doctor to say that it's kind of funny.
This is an indie game? From that presentation, you could’ve fooled me. I love the way the environments in this game look.

What a great problem to have
Honestly, a Stalker x Fallout mash-up sounds kind of fun to play to me.
Yeah, it sound cool.
Just so you know a game called ATOM is basically fallout set in Russia.
There is a mod made by crazy slavs called Fallout Oblivion lost, it's a drunken mash up of both games in Fallout 2 base game, just adds loads of crazy shit, anomalies too.
@@MrQwertysystem I love ATOM, but that`s og Fallout`s style we`re talking about almost no one likes that, I think he means the FPS Fallouts
@@Axl4325 The "OG Fallout style" is more commonly known as CRPG and while it was most popular in the 90s and early 2000 it has made somewhat a comeback lately. A lot of people like it, me included.
The "modern" Fallout games have been so all over the place that just saying "Fallout X STALKER" isn't really descriptive enough.
You could probably even find mods for 3 or New Vegas to simulate that.
10:05 Fun Fact - In this instance, a small indie game managed to do what a large title produced by a company could not. Having the black stalker show up at random intervals of your missions to fight you (or, in this case, if you take too long) is actually what Irrational Games tried to do with Songbird in Bioshock Infinite, but they couldn't get it to work.

I must ask, what's the name of the hardbass song
Well, i know Russian language, cause it's the second language here in Ukraine. And i didn't played this game yet, but from what i saw, voice acting is good. Not perfect but good, from my point of view at least. Also, helo from Ukraine! The country where Chernobyl is located. I'm only 86 kilometers away from Chernobyl, thus if i wanted to go there on a car or any other transport, then it would take about 1 hour and 20 minutes for me to get there. Just saying :)
How does it take you only an hour and a half to travel 86 Km while it takes me an hour to travel 20 Km to get to my school?!

I honestly keep forgetting about that game.
I cannot believe how much I want to play that game to play that game. I don't think I've ever wanted to play a game as bad as I do atomic heart
The graphics are top notch, the shooting is solid ( although it is kind of weird that I can't hip fire) the stealth is SUPER satisfying, not since I played the older thief games have I enjoyed sneaking around so much in a game. The base building isn't for everyone but I enjoyed it very much!
It's a good games that can stand proud next to S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Metro 33
it's definitely a good stop gap game while we wait for the continuation of Metro and Stalker. I found the stealth terrible myself, it was either you could do anything you wanted like fire a gun and no one would hear even if you shot someone 3 feet from another person or they would see you do a takedown or sneaking around through walls. The rest of the game was pretty decent though imo
I grew up in Russia and I approve of this game. The squat and hard bass references are a nice touch.
At this point it's overused and dumb tbh

I think the word "lite" in the name of the game explains it.
"it's pretty much 2021 simulator" cracked myself up. 🤣
I'm on the fence about it, looks like the kind of game I'd like where it's closer to FO4 but with the Stalker setting (and not nearly as bullshit at times). Might pick it up.
I was on the fence as well before giving in and playing it. It does start slow but after a couple of hours the game really starts to feel like something pretty unique. It honestly doesn't feel like either stalker or fallout imo and I think those going in wanting similarities to those games may be a bit disappointed.
@@charliem5604 I dont know why but for some reason this video gave me singularity vibes.
@@FingerinUrDaughter perfect sum up, this game is shit
I just found out that the studio that made this originally made Chernobyl VR Project, which is a VR documentary of sorts which they scanned Chernobyl for. These scans were apparently used in Chernobylite later. The Steam store page for the VR game has a trailer which shows off how they scanned the area.
It's honestly games like this that keep me playing games all together. While the game isn't perfect, which isn't to be expected, the developers definitely took their time with this game. I really hope to see more from these guys.
13:00 "Oops, there goes gravity."

I've loved the Metro and Stalker series, so this looks like a must buy.

Amazing game to me. Huge fan of post-apocalyptic East European genre. I have played Metro, Stalker, have read Strugatskys and many other USSR sci fi authors. This game, if was a movie, would definitely be nominated for an Oscar. Really, I think the game is just fresh and people do not see the small reference the creators make because many aren’t familiar with the culture BEHIND these games. Truly, I understand how it might look to an “average American”. But as a man whos nation has been extremely influenced by the USSR, it’s collapse, and Chernobyl, this game does something significantly more to someone who, as I said, sees and understands the metaphors and the alegories. 9/10 game.
Late af comment but check out zero sievert
Maybe an oscar for effects and design because the game looks gorgous but the story is b movie at best. The setting and immersion make up for the story

I've played through this game 3 times because I love anything that is stalker or feels like it and I'd have to say after 3 play through it's very good but after a while you run out of things to do. The jumpscares didnt work on me but what would have worked is dynamic horror which it did sometimes because a random scare is better then a jump scare you can see coming.

That Home Alone edit made me laugh so hard. 🤣
im gunna give this game a bit more credit with what you mentioned about the base building system, how you had to build chairs, plants, showers, ect. to comfort youreself and your team because you made a crafting stating you need to progress. i LOVE THAT! it makes you fill your head wit hthe idea of how to make the base an actual base, i still have problems if Fallout 4 where i dont really give my settlers enough stuff to "seem" human, just beds, crops, and turrets, not much cosmetic around the place, just what i NEED.
but this game seems to have made the cosmetic items NEEDED to keep the "happiness" of your "Settlement" up, i like that.
:)) Went there myself for a week, no extra arms yet. It's been 5 years already. After 35 years of decay, the half collapsed buildings are way more dangerous than the radiation. They don't make detectors for falling debris :D
Fun fact: the remaining reactors at the Chernobyl nuclear plant were still used to generate electricity for the Ukrainian grid until 2003

1 question though... does Super Sus know you've used him in this video?
This is what my brain told me I was seeing when I played STALKER back when it came out. I’d love to see it spruced up with this level of fidelity. This game’s environments look amazing.
