My favorite settings for the language is always going to be if the original voice acting was Russian and choosing Russian and then putting English subtitles
even if the english va is good, it still feels like watching a dubbed anime
I remember I bought this game around Christmas, playing it for a bit and died, thinking the game was bad, I decided to give it another chance the other day and I love it so much, the setting is just amazing and the gameplay combined with the immersion is good for the most part

I've had my eye on this game too. On GoG, there's some misunderstandings about "timed missions"? Maybe I'm thinking of a different game but, I wasn't sure if this game was worth it based on what reviews I've seen. This video has certainly helped, thanks.
None of the missions are really timed. You can spend as long or as little as you like on a level.

Thank you for watching. Yeah I did a video on the update too. As far as a console release I don't know anything about it. I play on PC so consoles aren't really my area of expertise.

Going by the Update/DLC-Roadmap there are supposed to be 2 more, maybe 3, listed as Seasons, PC first, consoles later on, but the roadmap says they are all planed for 2022, so the roadmap is not up to date!
I played this last month, realy like it, and I will play this again, but only when the new stuff is out on PS4.
Certainly not a perfect game, and "Metro" is way better from my point of view, but the only thing that is realy pulling this game down is the technical aspect, crashing/freezing, loading times, the manualy saving could be better...
I think adding new maps now is too little too late. The main story revolves around the same original maps, so you'll probably visit a new map once or twice, and then return to the real meat of the game.
I do agree with that, they need to implement them in a meaningful way with a story be it attached to the main one or a side DLC style story.
They recently dropped a new map and while it was cool it felt a bit barebones. I still enjoyed the game but there was definitely room for improvement.
I love this game, but playing on PS4 does mean it's a coin toss on if my game saved when I pressed save, or if my save will still be there at all when I get back.
My game recently reset back to day 1 after using a sublimation chamber to correct the timeline, so I went from 45 to 0. Might start up again nonetheless
Ouch. Yeah they need to fix the bugs...I forgot to mention I played through it on PC.

Yeah its a fantastic game.
How would you discribe this game? it is sort of Stalker meets commandos, meets escape from tarkov, meets cooking simulator?, xD.
Also so are there like rogue like elements in this because it seems like a game you can play forever? im debating on whether getting it or not, or wait for november black friday sale. I got a ps5 and saw this game is quit nice on it.
But cool video dude i wanted to see if there are spiders in this game so how bad these dusters affect me because i couldnt play the metro games with all those little spiders the big ones didnt bother me that much but i could not handle the small ones in the webs. Hell no 😭😔

Read this comment to my fiance and she agrees with you, she hates spiders! As for what to compare it to I haven't played those other games so I don't know (except for stalker but it's not really like that as I said in the video)
There are no spiders in this game, the dusters are the closest thing to it and they mostly teleport around they don't crawl on you or anything like that. I know the ones you reference from Metro they are creepy.
It's not a game you can play forever. You could hypothetically explore forever and gather materials for a long time but it's not like stalker in that regard, eventually you are gonna wanna do the final quest however there are elements of the game that offer a high degree of replayability in ways you wouldn't expect. I can't say much on that because major spoilers.
I highly highly highly recommend this game. I actually uploaded a new video on it today as it just received a free content update that adds a new level to explore, it will go live in about twenty minutes or so so maybe check that out for more gameplay footage.
Again I highly recommend the game, I quite enjoyed it.

you should Look up escape from tarkov thats which reminds me of the most minus multiplayer and horror elements.
I heard there is a roguelike mode so that would be certainly great i love retunal and roguelikes in general 😁
yea those spiders are the reason i couldn't play anny metro game which is a shame i know but i just cant handle spiders in games aswell as in real life. But nonetheless im gonna buy that legacy of hogwarts game and let my fiance play that partt xD im just screamed like a little girl when i first played trough resident evil 7 on that door where the baker mother opens and all those little fuks came falling down jesssusss im happy that i didn't play it in vr for that time or i would probably have broken my psvr lol. 😂
@@RoqxxxNo problem. Yeah. I've seen some gameplay of Tarkov but I'm not really much into multiplayer gaming anymore sadly.
I like Chernobylite but the gunplay is a little lacking. I would like to input that the graphics are pretty awesome.
Yeah I had mentioned that. None of the guns feel like they have any power to them and some enemies feel like bullet spojges but yeah the graphics and overall enviorment is amazing.

I think this is a great game too which really stands out from the mainstream type of games out there, and it seems to be very well optimized as well.
I noticed you have a quite bright setting on gamma and such. I turned it down alot to give shadows a really shadowlike touch. It's not easy to see alot but it adds to the immersion :)
This game definitely has some odd quirks but it's still amazing that this game was made by a small development team of only 5 guys. You can definitely feel the passion and the love that they poured into this game. It's also a pretty great game for people on consoles who don't have the option to play the Stalker games.
Was it only really 5 people? I did not know that. That makes me even more impressed with it.

My one useless question: Can you add as many chairs as you can when adding decor to your base, or is it limited?
I don't think there is a limit aside from space and how many materials you have which you can always gather more of.
I've never played stalker just didn't look like my type of game. I loved the metro series. So this seems kinda in between and looks. great. Might as well give it a go. Cheers buddy👍

Chernobylite or Stalker 2?
I know I'm late to the party but I just picked up this game on the PlayStation store for $11.99. I bought it because the name sounds cool and the cover art is nice 😆. Sounds like I got a good deal.
I like the original language, but the speaking in the Metro series is better. This is a good game, but Metro is really hard to beat, particularly Exodus.

That isn't actually my guy. That is the Black Stalker the antagonist of the game.
I waited for a moment when he appeared and I activated camera mode where I then got the angle.

I picked it up for $17 on sale .. not perfect .. but definitely worth what I paid. The back story vignettes are too long and tedious… much like Russian authors … try reading Dostoevsky.
Yeah the Voices of the Past quests. I found those kind of weird to be honest and I didn't think they added much to the story as I said in the video but like you said not perfect but worth it.

Been plinking away at this game for years. Had it in EA. Bits of Stalker, bits of Fallout 4, plus its own chill vibe. It's great! Definitely worth going back to now that it's complete. This, along with the Metro series and the many Stalker modpacks, are my go-to games to slake my Stalker 2 thirst. Only 3 more months...
Oh, and the visual bug you're getting is 100% your issue. Don't play at a weird PAL resolution. Go with 720p or 800p, you know, one of the standards. I haven't had any issues playing at 1080p, 1440p, 1440p ultrawide, or 4k.
If I'm gonna be punished for killing in a FPS game, then there's no point in me playing it.

I have mixed feelings on Exodus but I don't get that vibe at all from Chernobylite.
Sure there are some similarities but I think Chernobylite in terms of gsmeplay is far different in a good way.
I've had this game since it came out and honestly it's 🗑️ to me.
Will never be Stalker.

Calling it like stalker is like calling a volvo like a tesla. These games are not to be compared
The game is very basic
The base building is almost completely pointless most of it is just to look at unless you need to craft upgrade something which is lackluster asf
Characters are comical at best and have little to no depth behind them
Combat is boring
Fighting the same 3 creatures gets old
The radiation factor is poorly handled
It absolutely has zero freedom it gives you a false sense of dialogue choice etc but if you dont choose what the game wants it can just abruptly end or it forces you to remake a story choice by killing yourself lmfao
The world is boring and empty once in awhile you come across a pointless side mission if you complete it does nothing for you
The characters and merchants you meet
Again completely pointless they offer nothing substantial
I purchased the game on sale for 20$ thats about all its worth
I can see why you don't like it but I enjoyed it.
characters are comical at best? is that eng VA that bad? Also, did you play on easy or something? Its true though, not everyone will enjoy it, some people will be incapable of enjoying the environment, atmosphere, story, etc
