Helene, this video was perfect timing. I'm sick and bedridden and feeling pretty down, but your reading vlog truly brightened my day as usual! Those mugs sitting together on your shelves are gorgeous - If I didn't have too many mugs already I'd totally invest! Loved seeing even more of Zeus too 😊 I'm so glad you enjoyed On Writing, it was one of my two 5 star reads from last year and was so inspiring! The Diary of a Bookseller both looks and sounds fantastic, I'll have to put it on my mental wishlist to buy at some point!

I usually don't pick up hyped-up books, as The Clay Girl was/is. I've been back and forth on this one, but as per usual, you've put me over the edge and I'm going to buy it and read it ASAP. I'm smack dab in the middle of The Crimson Petal and the White but once that's over.....Anyway, thanks, Helene!

I loved that you loved The Clay Girl! I read it last year and couldn't shut up about it. It's Canadian, a debut, from a small publisher and just brilliant. Every time I see someone else reading it I get really excited.

I really enjoyed the vlog, Helene! Keep on "pouring it on" with the coffee, to use American slang! Great to see Zeus too. I'm glad you liked "On Writing". I liked it very much and recently gave a copy to a friend who is interested in writing. So far I haven't located "Diary of a Bookseller" at the library but the Friends of the Library group is having a sale this week and maybe someone has donated a personal copy. I hope so! Something I did a while back for what-to-read-next: Without looking I reached into a book of unread books and read the one I pulled out. "Pareira Maintains" sounds especially good. "What a Carve Up" makes me think of a family novel I have but haven't read yet: "Normal People Don't Live Like This". I can't resist a book with a title like that!

Keep making /purring? I thought I heard you say, that coffee, I never tire of it! I just got a Gilmore Girls t-shirt that you would appreciate....one of Lorelai's quotes.."I believe in a former life I was coffee"! Where did you get the mugs...love them! I read 10 books in March, but dnf 6 others...sometimes you just don't groove with a book. Just finished Lonesome Dove and now I want more cowboy :) Zeus is the perfect co-star...all he has to do is be Cat, and he's adorable! You have inspired me to read good books, drink coffee, and get a Cat..ordinary life moments are really the most Hygge and surely the most interesting after all. I think your vlog is a success!
