The Virago MC are even more stunning than promised and look amazing on your shelf ( bookshelves are by nature dusty, aren't they? ) - and now you have the Magic Toyshop book and cup! I am looking forward to your final thoughts on The Poppy War as I am excited to read it, but am aware that it is a "story of two parts" , hope this will not spoil it for you. Oh how I love that bit in the video where it's raining outside and we see the beautiful houses through the cozy window, and of course the lovely jazz in the background. Perfection! You could easily make gorgeous, artistic, atmospheric videos full of feeling. It would be wonderful to watch those in the autumn... if it ever arrives. :)
I mean, of course, if you wanted to make different videos in addition to these book themed ones. 😄

Thank you for not giving up on uploading a video everyday in July this month. Even though I was away and unable to watch you I was excited about returning and catching up on your videos, which I’m still doing. I hope you’ll consider doing this again sometime. Whether it’s a few years from now I’ll still enjoy it.

No...The Brothers Karamazov from Dostoyevsky is a SPETACULAR book!!!!!!! It is an easy and fast read! It is the MASTER PIECE of Dostoyevsky! Even better than Crime and Punishment! Please give it a chance!
I just loved how when you asked Zeus to jump for the tuna he raised his front paws off the ground and gave you a look that said "Yeah yeah lady, now gimme that tuna!" 😂😂😂 Have really enjoyed your daily videos as books, cats, and Helene are a few of my favorite things!

I live in the United States and I'm desperate to get my hands on those Vintage Russian classics. Only two have been released and I've never seen a more beautiful edition. I hope more come over here.
❣Hi, Helene, thank you so much for this summer gift! I joined you every single day and got a ton of inspirations. It turned out, that I'm a big fan of John Steinbeck and Anne Tyler, although I don't own one of their books, because I'm also a big fan of the library. You were very creative with all the different points of view about reading and I was surprised that every day was a lovely surprise:-))). I also enjoyed all the wonderful covers, because so far I took what I could get. Maybe the german covers are not that interesting...but I'll in every case do more research about nice covers. Wish you a refreshing break in August! It was and still is evenly hot here in Germany and to water the garden turned out a big duty... I would like to go out into the garden and read, but there's a rude neighbor who is cutting wood, so I prefer to stay inside. I use arm baths every day, in the original way KNEIPP said, that helps a lot. Love and thanks, Monika❣
And thank you for the recommendation of the new ABBA movie, I wasn't sure...I love the musical, which I saw life on stage several times, to pieces, liked also the first movie...and now I'll go for sure and enjoy it. I'm born in 1955, so I wasn't a real ABBA fan, because ABBA was everywhere at that time I was listening most to music, we all were humming the songs, were dancing...I really became a fan after the first musical I saw in Hamburg...then in Oberhausen...Berlin...and almost in Stockholm, but I became sick. The atmosphere is unforgettable...

The first book you mentioned today was "Great Expectations" and I'm currently reading "Havisham" by Ronald Frame which is about Miss Havisham from "Great Expectations", the lady who lives in the sealed-up house and who has Pip come to play with Estella--or was that Estelle? I started "Havisham", found it depressing and DNFed it but after a while decided I want to see it through to the end.---Thank you for sharing July with us, Helene! What a pleasure it's been to see and to hear about your books and to see your home and to see Denmark---and to see Zeus! I think you could start a channel with your cat as the star and call it Zeustube! Thank you again, Helene. It's been a great month.

Hej, what do you do with the books you unhaul? I also leave in Danmark and I find it hard to find second hand books in english.I like very much your videos.
Oh! I love Great Expectations! I'm weirdly not a huge Dickens fan but love that book.
Question, when you read books do you take the covers off of them or do you leave them on just curious.
doowopshopgal I actually prefer to leave the cover ON, for some reason - even though I seem to be the only person on Earth 🙃 I just like being able to see the cover while reading...
