Love the shot of the church with a bit of the sun.
Thank you, glad you like it :)
Some fab images there Will. Good to see the bike having a starring role! 😁
I love combining cycling with my pinhole photography 🚲
All the best. Jo
Thank you Jo, can't beat it :)
Will, what can I say gravel bike and pinhole photography that's a combo I very much live with it! Such lovely part of the country and great pic too! nice one!
Thank you Gavin, its a perfect combination, just need to sort a better cycling bag to take my 4x5 out, its a stunning area, glad you enjoyed it :)
Some great images Will, directly into the sun at the church is my favourite
Thank you Jim 😊
OMG! Just look atwhat that bike crash did to the tree.😆
lol, could do some funny photos with that tree :)
Thank you for visiting The Long Man ❤
You're welcome, it's a beautiful location, I will be back 😁
photos are great!
Thank you :)
Another nice video Will. Glad you have sorted out the light leaks problem you were having with the Holga😀
Thank you Mike, I didn't actually do anything to it, seemed to have sorted itself out...that camera never surprises me anymore lol
Another brilliant video Will. You’ve inspired me to start looking into gravel bikes! And I’ve got a Holga WPC arriving today…
Awesome, hope you have fun with the Holga. Gravel bikes are great, i've had "road" bikes and mountain bikes but this sits nicely in the middle, perfect for what I need it for.
really nice photos will great work.
Many thanks 👍
Nice!
Thank you 😊
I had to check in the comments to find out what that bright thing in the church photo was.....
Ah, it's the sun?
It's been so long since I've seen it here in Ireland that I'd forgotten what it was 🙄
You're a brave man Will, fighting the elements as you do.
At least you got some lovely pictures for your efforts 😉
Thank you, yes the sun has also been a rare occurrence down here too 😁
Enjoyed the video a lot! Great photos! Makes me want to get my mountain bike out of the rafters 😂.
Glad you enjoyed it, and yes, get your bike out :)
wow that was a long ride
Not to bad, I was hoping for longer but everything takes twice as long when stopping every 5 minutes for a photo :)
Nice vlog Will, youve got the right geology for that bike with all that well drained chalk.
I still have trouble with framing with my Holga WPC but yours come out well, particlarly like the one with the bike and the Long Man. That very portable tripod is excellent. Sorry to hear about your wee dog Bugsy.
Thank you, is always a bit of a challenge to frame them, but was pleased with what I got, especially the long man one. It's a fantastic area for the gravel bike, lots of fun around here, be ou on it plenty more over the summer
at first I was thinking, get yer dumb bike (edit: your bike is not dumb, its a cool bike) outa the picture, then I saw the picture and the contrast of the bike with the ancient man,, and thought, woah, brilliant picture. the ancient walking man, the modern efficient bike, already a thing of yesteryear in a world of cars, the film photography something so new to humanity, yet already obsolete by the new tech. we are all just here, now.
love your work man, keep it up.
Do you have any videos featuring 35mm film? I just made a 35mm pinhole so I am looking around to see what other people do on that smaller film medium.
Thank you very much, I was a bit unsure if to use the bike in the photo, but came out better than I thought.
Not done any 35mm pinhole yet, I have planned on it, but just getting around to it, think it's a bit more challenging
Awesome results Will
The bike shot was spot on. Pinhole ids something I’ve fancied trying for ages not got around to it yet. Mate I’ve always loved hiking still do but cycling has always been there too these days I do prefer the bike I get so much more ground covered it’s also easier in the old body unless I fall off. Road bikes were my thing but this year I bought a cheap ass used mountain bike I’m obsessed do grade 3 tracks so far so good loving it and always have a camera with me. Enjoyed that mate cheers
Cycling is certainly more convenient than hiking, ice to cover the miles especially when taking photos, but do find I need to limit the amount of gear I take on a bike, but I see that as a good thing.
Pinhole is not for everyone, but definitely always worth giving it a try, I was a digital is the only way, film is a waste of time type person before trying Pinhole photography, now I don't know when I last used my digital camera 🤣
@@WillGudgeon good thing about having less gear on you makes you work harder to get a result. I stared out way before digital photography so I’m enjoying the experience of shooting film again but digital is 95% of what I use I couldn’t do the day job without it. I’ll deffo give pinhole a try cheers
12 gates? Niiiice bike and shots, Will!
I think, I lost count lol...may of been 10, but definitely went through at least 5 more :)
@@WillGudgeon Many gates are worth it for the beautiful locations and images!
Found my way here from the Lensless Podcast I think. Nice photos. I'm sorry for the loss of your pet. Thank you for posting the link to the tripod. I've been looking for something compact to bring when cycling, going for short walks where a bigger rig would be too heavy/cumbersome.
You're welcome, I was on the lensless podcast a while back, the tripod is great, not having the usual centre column makes it tuck away even better, but ideal when out and about 👍
Superb with the Holga
Thank you :)
How much difference would I notice in image quality and ease of use if I upgraded to the Mia 6x12 or ondu 6x12 models please from your experience.
@@grahamhutton3129 the Ondu and Mia are certainly a little sharper, but could always swap over Pinholes in the Holga with one from Reality so Subtle/Mia.
Ease of use, all will have advantages and disadvantages, I prefer the cable release on the Holga, would be nice to have 2 knobs on top so you can wind back if needed.
Really liking what you get out of that Holga pinhole :-)
You could/should have included your feet in that 'Beachy Head' shot (14:52)
Thank you, I was thinking that, as I was setting up the shot, maybe another time :)
you got some really solid results from that holga. most of the other samples i've seen from that camera have been poo.
Thank you very much :)
The Holga pics look good. I am very, very, very sorry about your dog... 😓
Thank you, glad you like the pics, and also thank you regarding the dog, it's been tough :(
Wonderful landscape and ride Will plus superb photos 👌 The bike made surprisingly good foreground interest. How did you get the tyre re inflated, or have I missed something?
Thank you, I had a few co2 capsules which inflate the tyres really quick, great to have with you on a ride.
Bugsys gate 😭
Maybe I will make a plaque to put on it :)
@@WillGudgeon You should!
Six
Maybe, I think 10?? I lost count going back and forth editing the video, but it seemed a lot lol
@@WillGudgeon I lost track as well, and wasn't sure after the editing where I was after a while anyway. A great big lot of them at any rate :)
