Very nice, straightforward and honest interpretation of a day to remember. Thanks.
Great video! Wonderful photographs, especially the last one!
you were absolutely inspired, Will! And inspiring, thank you
My pleasure!! 😁 Thank you
Outstanding images.
Well. Every one of those images was just stunning. You are a master of the craft.
Well done! 👌👍
Why thank you very much, appreciate it 😁
Fantastic trip and picture
Will, thanks for an excellent video and stunning images as usual. Sorry for your loss. Beautiful tribute to Bugzy.
Thank you 😊
Great photos. Well done.
Great video Will, it was super nice to remember your little friend at the end. I don’t want to think to have to do the same with my little 4 legs. It is a very hard decision to make but unfortunately some themes you have to do it. Take care
Enjoyed the video Will. A great day out, but bet you were glad to be home to the peace and quiet. My favourite was same as you, the last one. Sorry for the loss of Bugzy. The longer you have them the harder it is ❤
Another great video Will and something different! A touching tribute to Bugzy as well. Sorry for your loss.
Thank you 😌
My favorite photo is of you and your pup making a pinhole photo at the end of the video. It tells the whole story. The London photos were great too. Love the London Eye and the Millenium Bridge and the last Tower Bridge.
Thank you Wendy 😊
What a great video Will!!!
Sorry for your loss Will, it's heartbreaking when you lose them after so long.
Thank you, it's not been easy, but Many happy memories ☺️
A super video Will. You really nail those compositions. I am glad you like the Kentmere and once again my condolences for a much loved pet
Thank you 😊
Wonderful video. I'm sorry for your loss.
Fantastic Will...you got some great images, I love the one on Westminister Bridge.
Thank you Jim 😊
Super video Will…..definitely gives a different perspective of our capital. I am not a great ‘city person’ myself so I greatly admire you for challenging yourself with this trip. Also, I loved your tribute to your best friend at the end of the video…..a sad loss but you are left with lots of happy memories to cherish.
Thank you Mike, it was certainly a challenge 😁
Lots of happy memories to cherish definitely
Thanks
As always, great pinhole pictures. Taking pictures in a crowded environment with a large strange looking camera is always a challenge. Reactions are indifference, curiosity or suspicion. Sorry for your loss. I lost my dog a few years ago. The pain eventually subsides. What's left are the great memories...and photos of your best friend!
Thank you, certainly have plenty of photos and good memories 😊
enjoyed your video alot-your favorite of the day was also my fav...all good tho. tears and smiles for your friend-
Thank you!! 😊
Fantastic shots all with pinhole cameras. Brilliant!!
Many thanks!
What would be a good recommendation for a pinhole upgrade.
I currently have the Holga WPC 6x12. I love the 6x12 format, but would like something with better image quality and better build quality, rather than spending 15mins every time sellotaping up all the light leaks :)
Thanks
@@grahamhutton3129 good old Holga's 😁
If you want to spend the money Ondu 6x12 is a great option.
Reality so subtle is certainly going to be good, also uses a curved film plan for a more even exposure across the film.
Mia is good, I use them, never had problems with light leaks.
A wonderful video and a change of scene. I really enjoyed it, probably because I know London so well. I've worked there for too many years... I know you said it was incredibly busy, but I thought it was very quiet Clearly Saturdays are different to working days. I'm lucky. I now live in a small village off the beaten track in Spain. I have all the peace and quiet I always craved.
My favourite photo was definitely the same as yours, the last one of Tower Bridge.
Very sorry to hear about your dog. I know how tough it is. I lost my dog Chester just over a year ago. He was 16. Many happy memories, same as you. The memories stay with us...
Thank you 😊 it is probably a bit quieter some weekends, but certainly much busier than I'm used too 😬.
Sorry also for your dog, its a big part of our lives gone
I wouldn’t have expected you to be such a fish out of water in a big city like London.
Yeah, really not a big fan 😁
Will, All dogs go to heaven. So sorry for your loss.
Thank you
Bravo Will.👏🏻👏🏻 4 cameras and vlogging in London Town!
Love the Ondu shots of the Eye and St Pauls and the Harmon ones on and of London Bridge. I find there's always a lot of schlepping around London but actually I think you were lucky with how quiet it was! Will check out your blog. Again, well done. 👍🏻
On a separate note, lovely tribute at the end to Bugzy. ♥️
Thanks so much!!
Was certainly quieter than normal, but busy for what I'm use too 😬
Ah Will, so sorry to hear about Bugsy, I lost both my German shepherd sisters over an 18 month period in 2019-20 and it hit hard. Have another shepherd and a collie now, but 4 years on I still think about my "girls".
Enjoyed your London visit and some great images, however like you I can only take crowds of people for short periods before I long to get back to the countryside.
Thank you, it's been a hard few weeks, but trying to keep myself busy. for someone like me who isn't a great "people person" he had been a loyal friend and great company for many years, certainly lonely without him.
Glad you enjoyed the London video and photos, likewise, was nice to breath the fresh countryside air again and have some space lol :)
Cool 😎 love the pic at 25:47
Thank you 😄
it's called the joy of living in london will really nice photos and video will sorry to hear about your dog.
Thank you, I appreciate it 😊
Sorry for your loss
Thank you
Wise to go into London early before the chaos. Some great shots. Very inspiring.
Thank you, Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Will , last shot of Tower bridge is 👌. We went on a group pinhole walk around Millwall docks on Saturday - so many photo opportunities 😮 . Sorry to hear about your dog 😥 , went through the same last year with our staffy .
Cheers thank you 😄
A pinhole photo walk sounds fun, definitely many photo opportunities
Nice! :)
Thanks! 😄
I'm really sorry to hear this sad news Will. Its sort of taken the wind out of my sails in commenting on the vid and your photo's 😞
Awww, sad to hear we won't be getting to see you doggy in the video or in a shot here and there anymore. Nice little memorial there at the end.
During the London shoot I already thought you might had a coffee or two too much while putting the dark slides back in here and there. Loved the shot where you put the camera in the water, plus a couple of Ondu architectural pictures. Somehow I didn't think the pano images worked that well (often with the subject too far away and/or too central set up imo) , and also think that you missed some opportunities here and there to get better/more dynamic foregrounds by using lines like stairs more or use the tripod a bit higher. All in all a really nice change from the Downs :-)
Cheers thank you, I know I missed several opportunities for some better composed shots, a mixture of getting use to being in a crowded area and time, but it's given me ideas for when I go again.
Great shots. I was planning to shoot with my 4x5 Speed Graphic mostly when I travel to Edinburgh in May for a week. But now I think I need to take a couple of my pinholes to shoot hopefully some night scenes. Sorry to hear about your pup. Mine think their job is to run right in front of each exposure I take in the garden.
It's always their job to get in the way, but you wish they were still in the way when their gone. Definitely take a Pinhole camera, just a different way of looking at things sometimes
My little buddies have made my life so much betters since my wife passed away a few years ago. Used the pinhole today shooting in South Carolina on a beautiful day. Love the pinhole cameras. They ope your eyes t a new way of seeing the world.@@WillGudgeon
@@redruth-iq8uo they certainly do open your eyes to see things differently, I am so sorry to hear about your wife, can't imagine how that must be 😞
So sorry to hear about your dog😢
Thank you, it's been tough, but he had a great life l, lots of memories 😔
Lovely video, Will. Coincidentally, I was at some of the same locations (Southbank, Millenium Bridge) recently with my MIA 6x6 but film got messed up in the processing so will have to return. Really like the Tower Bridge shot and the deserted Trafalgar Square. The covered courtyard of the British Museum is another good location - lots of people though. Couple of questions: how do you find the Fomopan? I've wanted to try it but heard bad things about the reciprocity. Also, what was the metering app you were using? I tend to use Pinhole Assist. So sorry to hear about you dog. Such a hard situation to deal with. All the best.
Thank you, will check out them other locations on another trip 😃
I really like Fomapan, lots of negativity about the reciprocity failure, it does drop off a lot. A 4 second meter exposure will get you a 20 second exposure with Fomapan and 8 seconds will give you 1 minute. But, I like the longer exposures, also it pushes nicely to 400 which helps a lot in lower light. The app I use is just "light meter" by WBPhoto on android, I would use pinhole assist but not available on android 😞
I feel exhausted from just watching your video. Clearly a great day, and some wonderful photographs. I concur with your choice of favourite the last image of Tower Bridge is stunning. I have a question. What brand/model of L bracket do you have on your Mia 6x12? I am looking for one to fit my ONDU 6x12 Rise and so far no luck finding one with a long enough base. I need ARCA Swiss and standard tripod thread on both sides.
Thank you Chris, It was exhausting 😁
The L bracket was just a cheap one from AliExpress, however, it doesn't fit my Ondu 6x12, just tested it. The Ondu is a bit more chunkier than the Mia
Thanks, Will. The search continues😎.@@WillGudgeon
@@chrisbone7149 I will keep my eye out, there must be something 👍
Hey Will, just been over and read the blog post after watching this vlog. Some of the "unseen" images over on the blog, are some of my favourite, but all the images are fantastic. London landmarks look very different through a pinhole camera.
The images taken with the MIA 6x12 appear to be really soft, comparing to the MIA6x6 is this a feature of that format, or do you think it was specific to the film you were using? Been think of buying myself a MIA pinhole, and also been pondering getting into large format but been humming and erring about the costs. I think however with the ONDU images in this video I'm considering committing and going ahead and purchasing one.
Once again brilliant video.
Both used the same film, the 6x12 is normally fairly sharp for a pinhole, had to crop a few of them in due to heavy vignetting, think I knocked something in the camera, so some were a bit softer.
Large format pinhole is great, it is more costly, but certainly worth it, the Ondu 4x5 rise really came into its own in the city, will head back with just that camera next time
@@WillGudgeon The ONDU images especially the architectural ones were outstanding. I think I will have to save up my pennies and at some point I will invest in an ONDU 4x5.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to reply, look forward to following your next adventure with a pinhole camera.
