Glad your feeling better jack 😊
Welcome back Jack you’ve been missed. I just watched the movie tonight and I have to say it was really good. I still don’t know if the ex-husband was there or not but to me it seemed like the little little girl was possessed by the sister and the ghost of the sister wanted revenge and got it. That was my interpretation. Thanks for the recommendation God it was really good acting top notch.
Ugggh the “through the looking glass” metaphor at the end makes so much sense. I was screaming at the screen “WHY DONT YOU JUST GO OUTSIDE” 😅
SPOILERS!!!
I interpreted it as the daughter’s 7th birthday was the gateway for the sister to possess her. The mom says that she was 7 when she “disappeared.” The mom was already nervous about her birthday so the sister torments her then takes her daughter. Now her daughter will never grow old, just like her.
Also I thought it was so weird that no one came to the daughter’s birthday but family. The daughter listed all these people but only her dad, stepmom, and brother show up. I feel that’s a sign of abuse. She made sure to isolate her daughter as much as possible.
Also, so glad you mentioned *possibly* the ex husband’s body near the end 😂 I was watching with closed captions, and in the previous scene it said “Peter snoring.” In the next scene when he’s face down with the pillow covering his head, he’s no longer snoring 😱 Also the “Peter Rabbit” connection just dawned on me, so now I’m reaching even farther-Sarah’s last name is Gregory, which could be a reference to Mr. McGregor, the old man who’s always out to get Peter Rabbit
Hey Jack! Welcome back! (That rhymed, hee heee) Good to see you two! #Don'tFollowTheWhiteRabbit
Finally, somebody really understanding the movie! I already saw it 6 times in 2 weeks
Definitely late catching up, but to answer your question, Guru, I did notice the new title cards and I love the combination of your cute expressions and a couple of words that prompt my memory waaaaay better on whether I've already watched the review or not, so thumbs up from me! :) Often I've had to click through where I thought I left off and need to listen to the first 30 seconds to know if I've heard it before. The new title cards are more eye grabbing and save me time clicking around. XD In addition! I've felt more anticipation on the new ones, knowing a bit what to expect before I click. A positive, I think.
Welcome back Jacky boy. Good to see your doing well man. \m/
So glad J is feeling better ❤
Welcome back, Jack!
I love you Jack!!💀
Once Sarah gets bitten by the white rabbit, everything goes to hell. My interpretation is that Sarah-with past and present colliding-killed Alice (that's a given) and killed Mia. Sarah and her ex rescuing her daughter was in her head. Alice takes Mia to punish Sarah. As for Mia pretending to be Alice or is possessed by Alice, I believe Mia is possessed by Alice's spirit. And the white rabbit is the representation of Alice's spirit. #dontfollowthewhiterabbit
Another great flick guru . Thanks for the recommendation keep it real horror guru
Welcome back, Jack!
#DontFollowTheWhiteRabbit is definitely a form of reverse psychology. How am I not supposed to follow the bunny? It's too compelling!
Welcome back Jack
#dontfollowthewhiterabbit count jackula in the house
I like the old title card personally. I don't objective change, but I do eject to not being able to read what the f*** it says LOL. I am legally blind after all
And I'm sorry that message was so kerbobbled. My microphone has not been hearing me properly and I've had five days of insomnia so I can't go back and see straight to correct it properly
#dontfollowthewhiterabbit Good to see you back Jack! ❤ Glad you liked this one - I was pleasantly suprised by it 😊
Personally, I prefer the interpretation that the father’s death kind of pushed Sarah off the deep end. That, combined with Mia’s 7th birthday, led Sarah to just kind of crumble under the weight of this secret she’s been keeping.
I believe that the whole “I’m Alice” stuff was totally in Sarah’s head. She was so triggered by everything that was happening that she was either seeing things that weren’t there, or misinterpreting things that really happened. Regardless of whether Mia is actually dead or emotionally dead following Sarah’s abuse, I don’t think the film is supernatural - I think it’s a descent into madness.
(and yeah I do think she killed her ex husband lol)
welcome back jack #dontfollowthewhiterabbit
#dontfollowthewhiterabbit I had heard nothing but bad things about this movie so I'm glad someone else also liked it! I LOVE Sarah Snook because of Succession and I thought she killed it in this. I'm of the opinion that the possession was "real" (I mean it's obviously very metaphorical but just in terms of the reality of the film) because there were times where the audience would see the ghostly sister and the characters wouldn't. I also felt like maybe the grandpa did know what really happened to the sister and was protecting his other daughter, because she wasn't estranged from him like she was from the mother who she had lied to, and in the sequence where it shows that she pushed the sister over the cliff you see the grandpa run over to her right after it happened, and I also think it makes sense that the events in the film start happening after his death because the guilt becomes too much because she's now the only person who knows the truth.
I agree. Sarah says she and her dad moved to the city. I feel like he did that to protect her from her mom, who suspected the truth

Oh please tell me White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane starts playing at some point.
#dontfollowthewhiterabbit is what feds will tell you...

Welcome back COUNT J.? Horror guru are there any scary slasher anime? Do they exist?
Scary is so subjective, I'm not sure. I've never been truly scared by an anime but I've definitely been messed up by manga, like Junji Ito's stuff.
