Just binge watched 4 series in 2 weeks cant believe its taken me so long to discover it. Amazing programme and Ted is the man. "Hasting yes like the battle" brilliant
Hastings: I'd like to withdraw £500 from my account please, all in deformed 1p and 2p pieces. Bank clerk: Sir im afraid thats not possible. May I ask why you won't accept notes instead? Hastings: I'm interested in one thing and one thing only... bent coppers.
I'm from Belfast, 'Jesus, Mary & St. Joseph' is something I regularly remember my parents saying when shit went south haha. Also 'Didn't float up the Lagan in a bubble' is a regular memory too.
Old Skool Wax Tim, I couldn’t even understand your dad !His Irish accent was so strong! So sorry you were in a motorcycle accident with Steve. He always wanted to pass on his best wishes and for you to forgive yourself. Not sure how you fit in the story line with Jackie and Tom and davo and Tony? Or sue? All the best wishes! Nameste ✌🏻 All I will say is why was sue and Tom working at his business together and giving out Lindsays keys as a locksmith? Reputable company, they said! Yeah not so reputable! Poor Lindsay had so many problems with locks and keys! Ever since being a child! And zero support or sympathy from the public at large!
This must have taken ages and was great to watch. Makes me want a Kate one featuring such lines as, "Bit far north, surprised you haven't got a nose bleed", "What kind of nobby signal was that?", and the enduring greatness that was, "Stop making a tit of yourself and piss off" 😂
Oh shit.... about a year ago my mates started taking the piss out of me saying ‘fella’... think I have just realised where I accidentally developed it from.
I just got into this show. Ironically through seeing Rochenda Sandall in TROS. I just liked her poise and demeanor so I went to see what else she was in and stumbled on this great show. It's mix of police procedural, office politics and the ups and downs of life. I love it.
Yup 49 bent coppers here! The series is unreal. I just watched a high budget Hollywood movie that was awful, they should learn acting from these guys. Everyone is sooooo good, but Hastings is something else. Just brilliant
@The Fruitcake Munchers Club because I viewed the comment 21 mins after you posted it and there was a like. Your pedantic arse was the last known person at this location. Anyone petty enough to comment that is also petty enough to like their own comment, it speaks to the high horse you parade around on
Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to produce this, must've taken a while. Great effort, much appreciated. Ted Hastings on a par with Gene Hunt in another great cop show(s).
Can we get an update after season 6 with such classics as "she's cooked her goose now", "he was 10 stone ringing wet", and "the name's Hastings, ma'am, I'm the epitome of an old battle" 🙏🏻
I've just re watched all five series in preparation for the new one and I hadn't noticed just how many fellas are in there. This made it look like he only says five things! Which is probably about right. Bent coppers
My favourite line is when he like "these charges are like grandmas nightgown..it covers everything" 😂😂😂😂
The pause between the two lines is what gets me.
That’s the one I was trying to remember! “Great work, I’m proudaya”
Thats mine aswel best one yet.
My jaw dropped and I laughed when Hastings said that. My favorite line from him too. Love him.
Just watched that episode for the first time. Crazy good but that line stood out for me 😂😂

Jackie M yes, I took the registration plate of the police van swerving all over the road!
“Interview terminated... Go on..Piss off!” 🤣🤣
Thank you Sir. Pissing off Sir.
Ted Hastings is a MEME MACHINE. Hitting out iconic lines left, right and center
You missed my favourite "Believe You Me"...
I had a teacher who used to say that,so annoying.
A classic Irish saying that one
My dad used to say that. This is like a trip down memory lane. Jesus Mary and Joseph!
“As well you know”

“They know I would throw the book at them....followed by the bookshelf” lol
You've got to add "Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Wee Donkey" from Series 6, Episode 6!!! Classic Ted, to the letter.
THE letter!
@@antsmoveaway2087 now we're sucking diesel!
That was a great one
I had that as the four Hs Hilton Gill Hunter and Buckles
I have always loved Hastings from the first episode - “to the LETTER!” 😄
"I am calm, I'm totally bloody calm!!" 😂
"Fancy yourself a bit of a comedian, eh. I have a man in the hospital and that's no laughing matter."
This is a TED Talk I can really enjoy. :)
Top notch
"I am totally bloody calm" said Hastings calmly

Same here. 6 episodes at once, 4 days in a row. Total addiction.
I couldn’t help myself from watching series 1 to the end of 5 in 2 weeks

Danny Waldron, that is. Mays is the actor.
Tony Bates ah sorry. I keep forgetting which is the character and the actor as they both are Danny.

A fascinating example of how a character talking in clichés can make them more believable, not less. Rule breaking writing.
