Line of Duty - Lee Mack's Hilarious 'Deleted' Scene | Sport Relief 2020

- Mother of God! DS Arnott, DI Fleming and Superintendent Hastings are back and only interested in one thing, catching bent coppers.
In an exclusive ‘deleted’ scene from series five, all three can be seen interrogating DC Taylor, an accused corrupt copper (played by Jason Isaacs) who they suspect knows the identity of the real ‘H’.
Unfortunately for DC Taylor, his representation comes in the form of ineffective lawyer David Rickman (played by Lee Mack).

It’s not line of duty if there isn’t an obnoxiously long beep at the beginning of the DIR, and Hastings tells someone that his name is spelt like the battle
He didn’t even call anyone fella either
Now we're suckin' diesel, fella
& DC Taylor didn't ask to be questioned by an officer of equal or Senior rank
@@barringtonfisher87 AC DC Taylor to you!
Or... 'I'm not Bent!' (by the person just proved to be bent)
“He was caught in an RTA with an NDIU hop he can help AC12 establish links with the OCG.”
“Great work, you get some rest last night?”
“Yeah, listened to REM on my MP3 then watched DIY SOS on the BBC.”
I must admit that made me laugh.
Alphabet Vomit
@@Londa1027 TLA. Three Letter Acronym.
Did I miss that part?
@@Bot23 1. You're wrong.
2. The comment I replied to has obviously been deleted.
3. My comment was 5 months ago. Get a life, guy.
Made me laugh too.
I suppose this is the culmination of Lee’s ‘Let me have a chat with my client’ quip on WILTY
Hahaha😂
Was thinking the same thing 😂
Lmaooo that’s what I was thinking of too
I don't care what happens in the actual show, this will always be the real H reveal for me
I want Jason Isaacs to be in this for real, he's such a great actor
He is one of my faves
He was brill as HAP on the OA. He's one if my fave actors.
Not to mention very easy on the eye
He should have been Bond.
He makes such a good baddy.
Steve’s face after Kate says all those acronyms, I’m dying
Have you seen the video on CZcams of Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? 😂
😂
DIY SOS😅
Ted's face as well after Kate says "Yes sir we know."
@@harveyross3308 do share
"A fiver?"
"That's 2 quids each"
* Has 3 officials sitting in front of him *
Lmao🤣🤣
Well women dont always get equal pay...
Ted took it at the end tho, bent cooper!
@@GaslightingIsEvil why does it always have to turn into that🤦🏻♂️
@@RWilmot03 nah tbf it was funny
They agreed to write 25 essays, the work divided evenly among the 3 men...
"You must be the murderer." 😂😂😂 Lee Mack makes anything better.
"Not just the homicides, the murders as well"
6:14 I love the fact he tried to bribe anti corruption officers with a fiver-
What I liked is at the end when they all walked out Hastings pocketed the fiver.
Could get a couple of pasties at Gregg's with that.
@@pietropes1322 guaranteed he went straight to Greggs with the fiver 😂
@@michaelvidal1971 Oh, I missed that. Lol.
he also said 2 pound each 😂😂
This was a massive clue. H was an incompetent character
Buckle wasn't actually H or to be exact "The 4th Man" if you watch it again, it said he was promoted by corrupt Commanders to do their bidding and that is why A10 was virtually disbanded thus stopping any further investigations into Police corruption and the OCG, for two reasons one to stop the Police being embarrassed by numerous corruption allegations but mainly to stop Ted and his team getting too close to the real culprits, disappointing ending that can only be rectified by another series which don't look like it will happen, even if Ted wins his case against forced retirement he will not be running A10 again because the Commanders who had him removed and replaced by someone who is doing their bidding will still be there.
@@quaker57 There will definitely be another series, if got the highest viewers since modern records began about 18 years ago. No way will they just drop it
@@watvid1 They can't make it if the writer doesn't want it can they?
@@quaker57 No but I don't see a reason why he wouldn't
@@watvid1 Well i hope he does but he has already said it is the end.
DFS Arnott and ACDC Taylor 😂😂😂
Petition for DFS to become Arnott’s actual rank, all in favour?
I'll take solace in the fact he's a DI now, if only temporary!
@@mrjeffjr1470 so, DIY Arnott?
Have you seen the video on CZcams of Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? Hahaha
@@harveyross3308 I wonder if they’re mates by any chance?

To the letter of the law. - The LETTER!
"Look, Your Honor--"
"I'm not a judge."
"Objection!"
"This is not a courtroom."
"Overruled."
Fave part 😂
Love that bit
Now look here fella😂
Really appreciated that that played on the ridiculous-ness of all the acronyms in the show at the start. Vicky listening to REM on her MP3 whilst watching DIY SOS on the BBC hahaha.
If I tried quoting all the hilarious moments in this scene, I'd be here all day 🤣🤣🤣 Lee Mack is brilliant.
go ahead
I first saw this skit before I knew what Line of Duty was and solely knew Lee Mack. A few days ago, I finished the whole show and now I'm watching it again.
Such a mood
Same here
Have you watched all the series, or just the first season?
Pity Jason Isaac’s couldn’t be in the actual series, great actor
I think you'll find his surname is Isaacs.
“dfs arnott” “acdc taylor “ I’m crying 😂
“ I thought air conditioning didn’t make sense”
😂😂😂😂😂
"Your honor, I would like to present categorical evidence that my client was not involved but I haven't got any" I literally fell of the chair laughing.Every single time I feel depressed I watch this video and makes my day!! Cheers
Always knew malfoy was corrupt
so did everyone lol, it was written into the first book
it was obvious from the start 🤣
Lee Mack got him off the charges and it was only the fact that he had H saved as such on his phone that got him. Lees a great lawyer and the suspect has only himself to blame
And he voluntarily brought with him all of the evidence that implicated him 🤣
When this 9 minutes was better than the entire hour finale
Shots fired
Have you seen the video on CZcams or Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? 😂
@@harveyross3308 Have you seen the guy who’s in a bunch of reply sections posting the same comment? Wonder who that could be…
@@ScottMcK07 have you seen the guy so concerned about others.. just trying to chat with other LOD fans, have a day off 👍
@@harveyross3308 how about you just post it as a comment instead of 200 replies
The slow lean of the head on Jason Isaacs at 3:27 is proof that it isn't always about line delivery.
This is 10x better than finding out Ian Buckels was ‘H’. 👍🏾🤙🏾🤣😄
Have you seen the video on CZcams or Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? 😂
Oh you buggar! I've not watched the last episode yet!!!
I was going to post the exact same thing
But is he ? Rèally ?
You now what happens to a rat.
We loved this. How on earth the guys that are usually on Line of Duty kept a straight face here I don't know. I bet there was some re-takes here (:
There must have been so many retakes- its like the ultimate try not to laugh challenge except having to act it out
@@reallyneedsalife i was thinking the same-can't stop laughing
Uh - they're *actors*.
@@gt40mk21 there also people
I don't think Steve did, which is why he hid behind his hand so much 🤣
How did they even film this with such straight faces? 😂😂😂
I'm not sure you understand the process of filming a television programme...
Or the job of actors.
@@tobietera There's always one! Thank you for your insight 🤣
I think Steve found it hard & had to cover his face a couple times 🤣
Lots of outtakes.
This is complete genius!! I love this show and this take was done so well for comedy!! Nobody goofed up and they remained serious!! Brilliant acting!!
"You are my atorney..."
"No, i'm your lawyer."
"That's the same."
I like how he never plugged the phone in
That fumble with plugging the phone in at 7:15 was definitely not planned 😂😂
Ha he took the fiver too...
*No doubt will share later - £2 each.*
Hope he declares it before he ends up investigated for corruption
Didn't notice that! Cheers.
The play on the acronyms 😂😂
Jason Isaacs great underrated actor.
I concur. We should be seeing more of him.
Lee Mack is brilliant
Really? What at? Feng Shui? Needlework? There are considerably better comic actors, but if your face fits at the woke, liberal elite shambles that is the BBC, you have a job for life.
tonebonetones - Hey, man. Just shut up.
@@tonebonetones Or some people just find him funny...

I love it how he says ACDC Taylor 😂
‘dfs’ arnott loooool
‘And the murders too’ loool
Absolutely love it! I only got into L of D during lockdown. Plus Would I Lie To You. I live outside the UK, so I hadn't been aware of this video until tonight when it turned up on my CZcams suggestions. I bloody love it! It's like it was made just for me! A perfect drama/comedy dream come true! Long live H!
“Not just the homicides but the murders aswell”
Howling 😂
"This is not looking good. Should I call your attorney?"
"You are my attorney."
😂😂😂👌🏻
"well, two can play at that game" LOL!!! So clever!!!
"These photographs are time stamped". Genius!!!!!!
The moment Lee walks in, grins, and says "SORRY IM LATE, TRAFFIC WAS A NIGHTMARE" was funny enough for me to just start laughing and thinking "oh godddd" hahaha
Here I was, thinking that Lee's WILTY-catchphrase "My client does not want to answer this question" was just for fun.
NO! It was to practice for this!
He such a great actor. It makes it so much better
This is better than the finale!
Have you seen the video on CZcams or Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? 😂
Love this!😂 Lee Mack as the Lawyer was hilarious!😂😂
I love it! It's great to see this comedy relief with the cast, since so much of the show is deadly serious. This is really such a spectacular example of UK crime procedural drama. One of my favourite Ted-isms was included too, "...floating up the Lagan in a bubble".
Meanwhile in the OA: Dr H.Percy is making his fancy moves and getting ready to jump into another version of himself, only to end up in this version and in Jail.
i cannot believe that netflix will create more episodes of river dale, but won't renew the OA
"If the glove don't fit, ya gotta acquit!"
Line of Duty needs a comic relief. Lol. This is brilliant. 5 more seasons please!!!
"Life! Oh thank God. I thought you were going to prison." hahahahaha this whole thing is so brilliant
I feel like when Kate and Steve are having a bad day, they will just rewatch or go threw the tape here to cheer themselves up with the incompetence of that guy 😂😂
Couldn't agree more. Even coppers and detectives need a time for comedy
“Not the bloke from Steps” 😂
This is epic!! I literally defeated Corona virus by so much laughter... it got squashed inside my belly.
im glad i watched all 6 series of Line Of Duty now. I fully appreciated how funny this was.
Love this show, love it even more that they took the time to do this.
Have you seen the video on CZcams of Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? 😂
Acronym humor. Love it. Discovered this series last yr. and binged. Great stuff.
Jason is a great actor, however, the actors in the series do not only fall in the the 'very talented' category but are a refreshing group that doesn't have to lean on names, to make the series hugely successful, with a new look true to great british television, as only they can do it!! Riveting, 'on the edge of your seat', type story telling. Thank you!!
Look DFS Arnott! Two years later this still cracks me up 🤣
Absolutely love line of duty and Lee mack impatiently waiting for the return of both
I wish all bad guys got a lawyer like this, justice would be swifter
The problem with lawyers like that is that good guys can end up getting them too
@Marie Whitbread the British judicial system is probably one of the best on the planet. If you're truly innocent for what ever you're accused of the likelihood of being sent down in Blighty in 2020 is extremely low.
There's no smoke without fire, just look at Whacko Jacko.
It actually happens more times than you realise. Particularly when it comes to client-solicitor privilege not extending to concealing a crime. There's been many "accidental" recordings if you know what I mean.
@@JanaJohnes First I've heard

I could watch Lee mack and Jason isaacs in absolutely anything and love it
Cheered me up, thanks
I love this tv show its awesome I hope it goes on & on ABSOLUTELY brilliant mega show
Love it, and I love the series, watched it many times
Hands over a fiver. 'That's 2 quid each' 🤣
Cheapskate
Notice Hastings fold and puts "something" in his pocket when he walked out? 8:40
'Play the next bit, just in case' 😂
Too funny. The part we're the rep walks in and tells the lead investigator that he's got nothing to worry Bout they have nothing on you.
Better Call Lee!
Still better than the actual ending
Have you seen the video on CZcams or Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? 😂
I haven’t seen a worse defence since Lt. George “defended” Cpt. Blackadder in ‘Corporal Punishment’...
This is probably more plausible and deeply more satisfying than the conclusion of series 6...
Yeah, it did fall a bit flat didn't it? To find out that muppet was H, was deeply disappointing.
this is hilarious! Glad I saw it. Will have to try to find "Line of Duty" now.
Anyone else notice Hastings picking up the bribe and pocketing it? 8:32
God I love this show,, this makes it only better!!
This is the work of a genius! I've watched this about 10 times. So funny

I've never seen line of duty...but I adore Lee Mack so this was a wee treasure I never knew about!😅😅😂😂😂😂
Went into the DIR with possible charges of assault. With the aid of a barrister, confessed to triple homicide.
Lee mack is supposed to be a solictor, not a barrister. They ome in somewhat later
@@jonathanfraser321 "It's the same thing."

ACDC Arnott
This is just missing David Mitchell correcting Lee's "H" and shooting him.
Have you seen the video on CZcams or Steve and Kate calling each other mate for like a minute? Lmao
i think it would be better if david mitchell was being defended by lee it would look really weird but funny
Now this is what not going out should be like
There is no Nando's in Deptford. Hmmm Mr Mack has given them a red herring.
