It makes me happy to see Eriksen play so well for Inter now. You can see that playing for a proper top side was something he really wanted to try. And he has become more complete over in Serie A as well. All of his small feints and tricks really gets showcased now, which I think is amazing. And lets not hate the guy. He gave six of his best years to Spurs, with nothing to show for it. He deserves an experience elsewhere
You're exaggerating. With all the respect for Eriksen, great footballer, but he did not do well at Inter...barely any goals or assists and not always a starter.

The best decision he’s ever made, was to leave Tottenham. Most of the top players that left Tottenham seems to do really really well in their other teams. Bale, Modric, Eriksen. Hopefully Kane will get what he deserve.

As an Inter fan, watching Eriksen play right now is a blessing. He found his form. Better defensively. Learning Italian style of play especially Conte's tactic.

If you are a club owner who invested and paid big moneu to a player yo help Build your club/ team whilst youre building A state of the art stadium thats second to none, wouldnt you want to keep him ?? He had 6 months left on his contract and Mourinho says that he makes the team flow better and has dynamic but he does not have that "push", and worst case scenario if he gets injured that's a blow on the whole management and the team. Basically he did not really fit Mourinho's liking and had 6 months left on his contract.

Looking at this in 2022. He wouldn't have moved Spurs up a level had he stayed. He made a good move and played some good football until his terrible collapse. And I quite enjoyed seeing him do his stuff at Brentford. Clearly a player of quality. And he comes across well.
Levy.... Somehow a superannuated pre-teen who has been made milk monitor at primary school and believes he is now on charge. Enigmatic, but not on a good way. I favour the Arsenal, so I hope Levy stays put.
The question for spurs is not why they could not hold on to him in the last year of his contract , its why they let it get to a last year of contract. They want to play for the big prices but clearly they do not have the right structure and right people running it. They put out a mediocre team except for Song and Kane, get a bit lucky reaching a champions league final and tell them selves they are at that top level. Oops, wrong assessment.

There is only so much you can squeeze out of the players. If Levy had given Eriksen the payment he should have had, and if he had given Pochettino the budget he should have had.
Tottenham could have been at the top of the pile now, they had the momentum, a really good squad, and a fantastic manager.
Instead Pochettino who was as loyal and dedicated as you'll ever find a manager, is gone, Eriksen is gone, one of the best playmakers in the league at that time, and Kane is leaving soon.

You thought that Mourinho would fix everything for you, you thought that Eriksen was replaceable and what about Kane, now, probably Levy will come to terms with the fact that he got it all wrong. Tottenham will go back to being a mid table team at a beautiful super modern stadium.
yeah. we've had to sit back and endure exactly what you're talking about here man. one of the BIGGEST keys in football is - if you're going to sell important players (which is fine, it's natural), you MUST have appropriate replacements. Spurs have not replaced Eriksen's creativity, and we seem to the be the best club in failing to do this.
