Your perseverance on this project is so admirable. I would be way too afraid to take on doing that veneer work. You are a boss lady! It is so cool, you always make the most unique pieces and they are lovely. Beautiful makeover!
Thank you!!
Oh, WOW! It sure is a swan now! I had some serious doubts about this piece at first. It was so damaged! You put a lot of love into this, and it shows! ❤❤❤❤
Aww thank you!!
The coffee table turned out so incredibly beautiful. Great work!
Thanks so much! 😊
Ooh, that’s just gorgeous. The red is OK, but the real star is the gold lines and the hardware.
Haha thank you!!
When the bubbles appeared, I was "argh!" But as usual your calm outlook won out. The finished piece is fantastic. Also..
Love your book!
Thank you! Oh wow!! You got my book?? That’s awesome! Thank you so much for the support!!
Not your easiest project, but perseverance wins the day! Looks great. I like the flat red with the walnut.
Thank you! Cheers!
thank you for your time and patience. it turned out beautiful. Great talent x
Thank YOU!
I honestly like the before as an MCM person, but the after is such a cool fusion of styles. It has such an awesome retro futuristic vibe to it and I picked up a few veneer tips which is always appreciated. Love it ❤
Awesome! Thank you!!
Definitely started out as an ugly duckling. You turned it into a swan 🦢
Thank you so much!!
Always makes my day when you surprise me with a new video ! I love watching you at work and listening to your honesty . Your the best Miss Flips!
Thank you Michael!
Another great and artistic creation!!!! Your client will have a one of a kind statement piece! Love it!!!!

You are so generous with your skills, thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you!!
What a great job you did on that coffee ☕ table well done to you super job 👍
Thank you so much!
It turned out beautiful!
Thank you!
Great transformation! I wasn’t sure about the red but after it was all finished I really like it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
Thank you for sticking around!
GORGEOUS!
Thank you!!
Beautiful Mija! Your patience is admirable ! ❤
Haha thank you!!
Wow girl!!! That was a job!!! Turned out amazing though!!! Really really gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much!!
Great job. Did the client love it? I hope so. You did a wonderful design and it was a lot of work!
Thank you! She did :))
Looks gorgeous 🤩🤩🤩 & thanx for sharing all the ups and downs of the process 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You are so welcome! Thank you!!
Oh, wow! You went through a lot! But, what a result! Ah-mazing! Gorgeous. Spectacular. ❤🤎💛
Haha thank you! It was definitely an experience
Great job on the ugliest coffee table ever😂 Turned out fantastic! Thanks
Haha Thanks so much! 😊
What a magnificent difference. A lot of work!!!! I hope you win! ❤
Thank you so much!
You did awesome job Ms.Flip on diamond vaneer table
Oh thank you!
Wooow... That was a pain 🤯 But I'm glad it paid off in the end 😊 Very nice job 😉
Thank you!!
01:53 Cool!! I love your kneely-wheelies! 😍😁Very practical. 🤓
Haha thank you!!
I felt your frustration with that veneer! Well done for persevering, it was definitely worth it and the finished table looked wonderful! 🤩👏😍 26:57
Thanks so much!
I always enjoy your videos, however, I must say a couple things (constructive criticisms).
1) I was glad your chisel didn’t slip and sever your femoral artery as you would have likely quickly bled out.
2) There are numerous ways to properly sharpen a plane iron. A bench grinder is not one of them. I would recommend that you watch some CZcams tutorials on sharpening wood working tools. 😁
Thank you!! I definitely do not have a clue in the world how to sharpen tools lol
Great job on this video Missflips! You really Assembled that board really well! Painting it and assembling the wood! I think the end result turned out great! 😊 keep up the goodwork with your DIY Videos! 😊
Thank you so much!!
@@TheMissFlips Your Welcome!! 😊
Stunning 💙
Thank you! 😊
Wow! Amazing difference.
Thank you!!
Wat a beautifull result, good teaching also ❤
Thank you!
When I've seen that particular sanding trick the driver is usually mounted to a surface somehow. Then you can use both hands to hold the sandpaper.
Oooh smart!
Very cool 😎
Thank you!
beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work as always 😍😍😍🙌🙌
Thank you so much 😀
This was the ugliest Coffee table I ever sow in my life, with all the challenges you face on the way, its looks like it doesn't wanna flip, its telling you leave alone I wanna stay ugly, but as usual with your magic, it turns great, with your great spirit
Aww you’re awesome. Thank you so much!!
So freakin cool x
Thank you!!
The Client Made Me Do It! It's a Very Specific Look. Actually, I Kind of like It. Although, I'm getting a "Let's Go Bowling" Vibe from It. Fine, If You have an Alley next to Your Lounger in Your Home! I would have Loved to know More about the Piece. How old it was, Who Made it and What was that Surface Actually Made of. First Time Viewer. 😇
Haha I can see that for sure!! It doesn’t have much to say honestly. No makers mark or anything. It’s made of cheap wood and what I’m almost certain is some sort of Lacquer finish
Have you ever thought of using a sanding sponge for the hand sanding parts? When it wears down, you can wrap new sandpaper around it and keep using it. It saves my hand when I use it. I just wondered if the single piece of sandpaper is a conscious choice for any particular reason.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. No particular reason. I’m just not the biggest fan of sanding sponges
Lots of work but it is gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Nice😊
Thank you!
Actually, an acceptable way to plane a straight edge on veneer is to use a proper length plane (such a n°5 - not Chanel's 😋 - ) 😅
The boards are still plenty useful to prevent the veneer from flexing while planing, and clamping them sets your hand free 👍
Haha thank you!
I loved the distinct detail of this table. What a unique find. I admire your gusto in putting on the beautiful veneer! The project turned out awesome! ❤ I really appreciate the time and energy you put into the project. I personally would have NEVER been able to do the final diamond pattern! 😂 I would have probably veneered it and moved on 😂! Or taken the easy way out and painted it!
A really great job and I subscribed!
Where did you get the roller knee pads? My husband rehabs homes and could really use a pair! Thanks!

Really came out gorgeous, I always have the same crap happen to me when working on projects, I think it will always be there no matter what you work on. A really dumb question, I have never worked with vaneer, can you cut it with your saw?
I don’t know that I’d make actual cuts with it, but I used my saw to trim the edges
Wow that was a ton of work! I’ve been considering doing a veneer project. I will totally watch out for that cement/adhesive 3:55 issue. I’ve done Formica countertops and when those two surfaces meet it’s a done deal. Nothing like your experience. Nicely done!
Really?? Man! What did I do wrong?? Any tips??
@@TheMissFlips - no I can’t figure it out! That cement we used was so tacky. We painted it on both surfaces - let it dry. We used those old plastic blinds between the surfaces and when we were aligned we started pulling them out. I felt bad for you that you had to rework it - what a pain.
@@marahfanning2879 dang! And it was the same brand? This one is water based
@@TheMissFlips no I don’t know about the brand it was over 20 years ago - but that contact cement stuff is crazy strong so I don’t know what happened with yours. I know I won’t be buying the brand you have 😞
@@marahfanning2879 so true!
What is your creeper & where did you find it? That looks so helpful! Also-BEAUTIFUL pattern. wowzers.
Haha thank you!! My creeper? Lol
@@TheMissFlips the green & black creeper- what you're kneeling on & rolling around on.
MissFlips, when are you posting another video please?
Haha I just posted one yesterday 🥰
Love your videos and work! Where do you get your sheets of veneer?
Amazon :) would you like a link?
@@TheMissFlips yes please I would. Thank you.

Not my style at all but I think it's a great piece😊
I get it :) and I appreciate the feedback!
When is your next video coming out please?
In another week :)
@@TheMissFlipslooking forward to it 😀
Shouldn't you sand with the grain?
I tried to for the majority of it, but it’s challenging when you get to the edges where the pieces meet. Didn’t seem to make all that much of a difference in the end
Thanks! I'm trying to learn some basics😀
@@lisaharrod8386 sure thing! I think in general it’s a good rule
Thanks for the feedback! 🥰
Not feeling this one
Fair enough!
