I love listening to you 'think out loud' as you work and ponder over challenges as they arise. The finish really brought out the character of the wood and let the grain 'emerge' to fill in the negative space around the eyes. Before that, they looked a lot like something else to me 🤔🤭🤣 . Hi Mike, what a dramatic piece. The eyes standout and the shape depth of the bowl. When you put on the walnut oil it transformed it completely.
