Hey guys! Follow along to see how I make over this old buffet that I found at my local thrift store. We'll show you how we prep the piece, remove the existing finish using chemical stripper, use a paint sprayer, as well as applying a paint wash and how to apply a smooth top coat. Wow! I don't know how you can stand the negative comments! Some people are soo weird! If it were up to a lot of people, all furniture would be natural wood, cos, ya know, there's not enough of that already. It says a lot to me about a person, when they have to write a negative comment, like they're miserable! Anyway, it came out beautifully, and I'm glad you painted it!

Thank you! We’re in Vancouver, BC. We have a heater but we like to leave the door open for ventilation especially when we’re spraying something or sanding a lot ❤️

Fun-tastic ! Why not finish top/ clear coat in 1 step rather than 2 steps ? ( 2 set ups, 2 clean ups) thanks learning
The clear coat for the body was actually tinted to grey to match the paint! And the clear coat for the body was well, clear 😊
Absolutely gorgeous. You two are a heck of a team!! Hey, so here's a wee tip... works for most papers, including wallpaper... sprayer bottle with watered down liquid fabric softener works a treat, I promise. soak it down, let it sit for 20 minutes and it peels off like butter. I sure love what you did to this piece, 30 bucks was an amazing score!! Prices have gone through the roof here too, a lot of it is pure greed. If they know someone wants their outdated furniture, they jack the prices. I have been doing refurbish about ten years now, and girl, YOU are teaching me lots of little tricks. Well done you two. Should be very proud of your work!! 😍🤩 and Thank you very much, for showing and listing all your products... very helpful. Take care, stay warm. Its snowing like crazy here today too.
the other thing i was going to mention, is that mistints , can sometimes, be retinted... a lot of stores refuse to do it... unless you dam near beg. They dont want you knowing this. Our Rona store learned this from me, I was always getting one retinted... and now, will not sell mistints as they are. They take every single paint can that is mistint and retint it to what they want, and sell it for FULL PRICE.... I have never graced their doors again. Talk about being a scummy seller.
