Smt. Dr. Nithyashree Mahadevan Greets Centenary year wishes to Sri.Cuddalore M. Subramaniam.

'Kalaimamani' Dr. Nityashree Mahadevan is an eminent Carnatic musician, hailing from a legendary musical family, with acclaimed musicians on both her paternal & maternal sides. She is a brilliant performer in the traditional style and her sweet voice and excellent concert techniques have elevated her to super stardom in the Carnatic Kutcheri circles with a huge fan following. She is very humble and we accept with gratitude the kind words she spoke about my grandfather Kalaimamani Sri. Cuddalore. M. Subramaniam and the beauty of his Sahithyams and his concert on this during his centenary year. She has been instrumental in making many of his compositions popular among the younger generation.
I would like to put front that his compositions in 72 Melakartha ragas are composed so nicely and the scripts of kritis are given in Tamil and English. English notations are given along with Tamil notations. Those compositions are quite simple and one can sing these keerthanas without any difficulty. I am sure that this will certainly helpful to music students & musicians to listen & refer his books with the notations in his website www.cuddaloremsubramaniam.com to be launched for his centenary year on 21st March 2021 as a REMEMBERANCE day.
It is highly appreciatable for her gratitude of offering CENTENARY year wishes to my grandfather.

A great musician and composer par excellence....... Years ago, may be forty years, Subramaniam sir and family had visited Vellore for their relative's wedding. Incidentally, they were on the look out for a suitable place to commence the janavasam, proximal to the kalyana mantap and our home served the purpose!!!!!! It was a thrilling experience and gratifying one too for me in my teens as I had spent something close to an hour discussing music. When i made a mention of his recent concert then, on AIR Madras he felt elated and volunteered to take me as his disciple. Alas, it did not materialise......

Yes i learnt from him when he was in Perambur.He has tuned Mahakavi Bharathis songs and trained me for compositions. I Got many Prizes under his guidance. Malaimeedu vilaiyadum velmuruga in kambhoji ,one of his Brilliant compositions.,i learntfrom him
