A great musician and composer par excellence....... Years ago, may be forty years, Subramaniam sir and family had visited Vellore for their relative's wedding. Incidentally, they were on the look out for a suitable place to commence the janavasam, proximal to the kalyana mantap and our home served the purpose!!!!!! It was a thrilling experience and gratifying one too for me in my teens as I had spent something close to an hour discussing music. When i made a mention of his recent concert then, on AIR Madras he felt elated and volunteered to take me as his disciple. Alas, it did not materialise...... This is indeed a brilliant tribute by Kalaimamani Dr.Nithyasree Mahadevan!!!!
