So, I see that some people will not understand my overall message so here’s a quick one for ya. Also it has come to my attention WuWa overal Gacha is better for character pulls, I do apologize for that mistake.
It is a good thing for these games to compete. All the amazing things Kuro is doing for the game is simply because they are trying to COMPETE. Trying to bring either game down is only gonna lead us back to the times where Devs have no reason to improve. Genshin is finally trying to start improving because they have competition now. But, say Genshin does and Kuro now has no competition, well we are back to the old days where they have no need to improve anymore. Having the games compete will lead to bigger and better things for both communities.

Honestly, when it comes to the story, Genshin has very clearly been planned out years in advance - the plot flows so well, ties into every other aspect of the story, particularly the world quests, which give enough content to write a trilogy of books for every region.
For WuWa, it feels like the story was the least important thing they considered - i played the main story in two days (before my game bugged out and i couldn't play for a week) and while i agree that it picks up in the second half, that doesn't make it good - it doesn't even make it passible, and it didn't even make much sense. I mean, Jiyan literally met us and put us in charge of the whole strategy to prevent the end of the world? C'mon, i really like the guy, but is that really something a general of great renown would do?
Also, i think what caused the biggest hit to the story was the translation - it felt machine translated, and to someone like me, who's obsessed with languages, it was so obvious that they didn't pay any attention to the story flow when it went from Mandarin to English - because these two languages have such different structures and cultural context that unless you're an experienced translator, you're not gonna do a good enough job.
Frankly, even the part with Scar's little story with the lambs, which in my opinion was the best part of the whole chapter 1 story, still fell flat because it was so damn allegorical that the main points were completely lost - who's the lamb, Scar, why do we care?? How does this little bedtime story make any sense in your plan to recruit us?? Where does it go??
And i know it can be argued that it's foreshadowing, but you can't call something so obvious foreshadowing without actually giving clues where it's headed - the best story isn't one that pulls the rug out from under you by shoving a completely new twist, it's one that twist everything you already know, and what do we know about the story in WuWa? Not much, because the story is simply missing from the game.

mate acts like monstadt story arc was so much better. WuWa is in 1.0 i bet the story can become amazing and the last chapter already pointed in a great direction.
@@FiniksLPexactly my thoughts. But yeah everyone has their own perspective of things which is completely fine. For me, only reason to keep playing gi is its graphics. Wuwa is beautiful too, but gi somehow just feels better. Other than that gi is really frustrating, like it took me 3 months to build my 2 main dps along with supports cause I couldn’t get desired main stat. I was so frustrated and quit 2 months back. Compared to it in wuwa, within a week i was able to get my set with correct main stat for 3 dps in my account. It was so satisfying, i keep coming back everyday. Now i only play gi while waiting for wuwa to drop some content, after i have done all dailies etc in wuwa. Even gi’s dailies feel annoying, as combat is no fun as no slow mo dodging, parrying etc. Feel like gi gonna slowly die if the dont come with something craze.
About the part where Jiyan entrusted rover with leading the war, i think it’s because of the prophecy and the fact that Jhinsi entrusted us with that role as well. The story showed that we are seen as a special entity thus letting rover lead the way
@@jovic4826 yep. Everyone already knew, specially those at top that we are special due to Jue’s foresight. Therefore that jiyan part is not a plot hole.
They're both great game, i played genshin for four years but Wuthering waves is just an updated version of it, wuwa is an improvement, a real improvement of g.i.

yeah but genshin is a soft pitty system starting at the 74th wish, it greatly increases your odds with every wish so on average you'll get your 5 star at around 80 wishes

I am not paying attenction after in main story we have to do unskippable quest abt taxed for 3 hours. I respect my time. Or set fireworks for 4 hours to make npc escape(yoimiya quest). I cant even remember his name.
And also its not like genshin early story was that great.... nostalgia hits more then me remembering important things+we gain 2 5 stars from the join in. My first genshin 5 star took more then 2 weeks something, and genshin had sh*t end game for 4 years, doesnt care abt ppl wanting end game, they finaly touched the end game after wuwa ...
thats true.. ive been wanting a skip button in genshin for so long, and finally WuWa has it. for that alone, i already like WuWa better than Genshin.

@bow-_- why do I have to rush? To get cherecters? Nah they kinda useless unless good story. Wich is very hard cuz of my taste, the only ones that got my interest were nuvi and furina story wise. And xiao prob. I don't need meta cuz its genshin and I prefer watching like 4 episode of one piece or other things then ya know 3/4 hours of taxes and fireworks that I forgot even why they were there in the first place 😅
Okay, do your homework dude. WuWa has a way better Chacha overall. Higher Dropchance on each pull, earlier Softpitty and lower Hard pitty ( Genshin 90 Wishes, WuWa 80). Thumbs down.

I genuinely agree; many people are comparing these two games because there has to be some sort of fan favorite or one that is better than the other. Competition revives both the potential for Genshin and Wuthering Waves. We aren't reaching the perfect stage of Genshin or Wuthering Waves because both of them lack something that isn't implemented in their game. With that said, I honestly find this as an awesome competition because it gives a boost to creativity and forces the devs to start making better content for both games.

P.S. Both games are genuinely great and we should (as players) reconsider what we read online and how we approach the games that we're playing.
How are genshin's 4 stars weapons better? I stopped playing it more than a year ago so my memory isn't spot on but I think most of (if not all) 4 stars that are not obtainable from BP do not have crit main stat, assuming this is the point of focus when it comes to how good a 4 star weapon is.
Of course, some weapons have a great passive but many come from limited time events or grinding
Genshin 4 stars have greatly improved in the Battle pass and F2P options since you have left, there’s a great many of really solid 4 star weapons now in genshin

Wuwa story is subpar as well as the VA. HOWEVER, the combat is where the game shines in my opinion. It's fun and not just press 3 buttons and delete enemy
Yes the combat is amazing
It's very possible that this is because I'm still in the early game / "honeymoon phase" for Wuwa, but right now I find that Wuwa's combat mechanics and overall game design make it more fun to play than Genshin, especially when I"ve used up all resin/waveplates. Again, definitely could be because we're still in the very early stages.

Just one thing, the gacha system isn´t completely identical in the character banner since in Wuthering Waves it takes 80 pulls to get the character you want and in genshin its 90 wishes.
So hard pity in wuthering waves reaches around 69/71 and Genshin reaches around 76/84...

IMO, it’s stupid to compare the two games right now. WuWa is still new and comparing to a game that’s been out for almost 4 years. To be fair, comparing them is fine when it comes to a basic level like the differences, but what I think is stupid is when people criticize it critically that they claim WuWa is better and there’s no argument at all. Again this is a new game so is it really 100% fair all the way?
If anything what really bothers me is the amount of people wanting to put down each other and say if u like XYZ game then ur stupid. Ultimately, who cares. They’re just games. We’re allowed to like any game we like and disagree on what we don’t like. I play both and I personally prefer Genshin because I’m a Day 1 player and WuWa is good, but I’m still experiencing lag and long load times which isn’t helping me actually enjoy the game fully.
Now when it comes to the Devs I will admit and say Kuro has been doing a great job serving their customers. My only issue is that they can’t keep this up or the players will become greedy as soon as Kuro slows down. So they should slow down right now before it’s too late. As for Hoyo, yes they can do better but it is what it is and who cares.
I said that though that trying to bring either game down isn’t the right way to go about it, we should encourage the games to do their best so we all win in the end.
Rewards, combat, exploration, grinding, devs that actually listens, doesn't have a mascot thats so noisy beyond helping, character details, character animations, world building, no zhongli that kills the fun of the game

If you would’ve actually listened to me I never said it was better or not. Your opinions are valid but my message is simple, if both games compete then they will both do everything they can to improve. I never said I dislike WuWa in fact I enjoy it a lot. But trying to bring either game down is not the answer. Competition breeds success, we are already seeing genshin trying to finally improve now thanks to WuWa. Trust me you do not want WuWa to not have any competition or the game will turn out just like Genshin did cause why improve if there’s no competition? WuWa is doing all the amazing things you just said they’re doing because they are trying to COMPETE if they had no competition then they would have never done these things. So I encourage you to look at this as a good thing for both games as they elevate each other because they are competing, that’s how competition is and always will be.

as someone who quitted genshin after seeing that god awful rewards in their first anniversary and the most awful player treatment (even fgo is better ngl) id say im not interested in whatever happening in that game anymore
It’s fair to feel that way, Genshin has been lackluster in rewards. But it does come down again to the fact they had no true competition till now. The only other game making the same or more money is another Hoyoverse game. I do fully expect Genshin to finally treat players better so long as wuthering waves continues to be successful. So must pray that wuthering waves keeps it up and doesn’t let off the gas peddle

I dont want to be the criticiser but genshin timing to get out was significantly higher cuz of covid, the boost of Internet users wich is more then 400%, I don't think wuwa's anticipation had as big as an impact like covid.

1) Both the same genre
2) Bit are actively competing with each other
3) There is so many other comparing the two, trying to see the main differences and similarities.

The overall quality of the weapons in WuWa are still worse than genshin, I never said they were unplayable or you couldn’t clear the content.
Everything is possible cuz of dragon thrilling thing in GI xd but still the game need more time simply, more weapon the better they will become.
