    This is the same video. We used the wrong form of Colombia, so we changed it.
    We go on a Highlights of Cartagena, Fortress and Las Bovedas Tour in Columbia.
    We were on a 29 day Transatlantic and Panama Canal Cruise on the Emerald Princess.
    The tour was $70 US each. We purchased it onboard. It was a good tour, not great. We saw a lot of the old city.
    This video was recorded in November 2019.

    Hey, Gareth and Janet, I'm enjoying your videos from your Panama Canal transit on the Emerald. I am heading to SF in December to pick up the Ruby for the reverse sailing, Thanks for letting me cheat off of your homework. Y'all are the best. Hope your trip on the Majestic was just peachy.

    Wow, so busy now. We went in 2006. When going threw old town streets, had a couple bike police that followed and watched our back. Not many street vendors, but lots of beggers ( some faking lose limbs).

    Thank you for the awesome video! I’ll be visiting Cartagena in January 2024 on a cruise so I look forward to Port Oasis very much. Would especially love to see sloths. How high up the tree was this sloth? Just wondering if I should bring a very long telephoto lens. Thank you so much once again.

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  Před 10 měsíci

      The trees are 20-30 feet tall and the sloths are only about foot-long. You may need a telephoto lens for a close up picture. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to a channel.

    that was great. When you got off the boat did you have to take your passport or was the wristband what they use for re-entry?

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  Před hodinou

      No passport, just ship card or medallion. That’s the way it is in almost every port. They do say take some sort of picture ID, so we bring our drivers license. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

    As I new subscriber I wanted to ask you which are the top 3 most beautiful countries you had been to??

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  Před 3 lety +1

      That is a tough question. It depends. if we're talking just scenery, we can honestly say, the United States is the most beautiful country we have visited. Remember, it includes Alaska and Hawaii (not to mention California). Venice, Rome and Varallo Sesia in Italy are beautiful, if you like history. Almost any island in the Caribbean is good if you want beaches. Especially Grand Cayman and Barbados. Bermuda is nice, but not in the Caribbean. For tropical island beauty, Tahiti and Moorea (we have not been to Bora Bora). If you like rolling fields of green, then you want Great Britain. This is such a good question that we are going to put it, and a lengthier answer, in our 'What's New' section of our website: portmonkeys.com. Thank you for your comments and we are glad you are a subscriber.

      When we went, it was called “Highlights of Cartagena: Fortress & La Bovedas” and it was $70 US onboard. Princess now offers a tour called “Best Of Cartagena: San Felipe Fortress & Las Bovedas” that is $70. The descriptions are almost identical. • @PortMonkeys

      We do not recommend changing money, unless you’re staying there for more than a day. We think most places take US dollars we didn’t buy anything. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

      The name of this tour was "Highlights of Cartagena, Fortress and Las Bovedas". We noticed it's not on the Princess website any longer.
