Hey Happy Travelers!
Welcome to the Norwegian Joy, our very first NCL cruise! We are on a 12 night Caribbean sailing visiting Limón Costa Rica, Colon Panama, Cartagena Colombia, Oranjestad Aruba, Williamstead Curaçao, and Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian’s private island)! This will mark as our longest sailing, so we are very excited to enjoy this new itinerary, as well as have plenty of time to see what NCL is all about!
It is Day 7 onboard the Norwegian Joy and we are in Cartagena Columbia! We were absolutely blown away by this port and how much there is to enjoy right off of the ship in an area called Port Oasis, where you can see so many tropical birds, monkeys, and other animals in their natural habitat! We continued the day by visiting the Old Town of the city, with the well known colorful buildings, shopping, and history!

Our recent Panama Canal cruise stopped in Cartegena, and I 100% agree that it may be one of the best ports EVER! We also did Puerto Vallerta on the same trip, and I wanted to thank you for helping me step outside of my comfort zone. I'm in a wheelchair full time, and transportation can be challenging. But after watching your Puerto Vallarta review, we decided to take our first ever Uber! Without your video, we likely would not have ventured out to see the Malecon... but I am super glad we did! Thank you Matt & Chelsy, for helping us make our bucket list Panama Canal cruise even more special!!!!!

Sad they gave you such a short time in Cartagena. It was my favorite stop on the MSC Divina cruise we did. I got up early for the morning sail into the city. I was amazed at the nice architecture. We had a 3 hour walking tour thru the Getsemani neighborhood. Multicolored streets everywhere. And those Macaws were great too - on,y I never saw that green one like you did.

We will be there this November on a 21 day cruise from Seattle to Port Canaveral Fl where we live. May I ask, how much was the taxi ride for the tour you took? We have been there before, but we had our kids with us. This time we want to visit the fort. I will definitely visit that park, it looks amazing. Thank you for making your videos. Can you tour the park in a power chair? The Old Town looks accessible and I don't mind being in the street.

So using English is enough to call a taxi there? So much about it being not safe to tour there without the cruise ship excursion. Or did u use an uber or taxi app? How much for the rides? Thank u
Hi Lynn! I don't remember how much for the ride, but we used one of the taxi vendors that was outside in person at the cruise port. English was totally fine and we never felt unsafe while there. We never left the "touristy" area so I think that helps in all regards. Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
