Hey Happy Travelers!
Welcome to the Norwegian Joy, our very first NCL cruise! We are on a 12 night Caribbean sailing visiting Limón Costa Rica, Colon Panama, Cartagena Colombia, Oranjestad Aruba, Williamstead Curaçao, and Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian’s private island)! This will mark as our longest sailing, so we are very excited to enjoy this new itinerary, as well as have plenty of time to see what NCL is all about!
It is Day 5 onboard the Norwegian Joy and we are in Limón Costa Rica! This is the port we were most excited about visiting, and it did not disappoint! We booked an outside excursion via Relax Day Tours to visit the Veragua Rainforest and Tortuguero Canals! This tour was a little pricey but the experience was unbelievable!!! We saw so much wildlife including sloths, howler monkeys, cayman, iguana, and more! We highly recommend this excursion! I remember taking that pier walk to get to our tour van. Quite the haul. We did a cacao farm tour rather than the rainforest, but we also took that canal boat tour.

Went to Costa Rica a few years ago. We had a private tour for the day on the canal; it was the best tour ever. My husband and I huge animal lovers.

When you get to Columbia I would just get a cab and head to old city and walk around. Very cool city to visit, it will be Florida hot though. I was just there in March.

Something tells me that when Todd/Control City Freak covers international highways. People are going to want Todd to cover the highways in Costa Rica because of this city. Limon is a running gag on his channel because he covers highways & highway signs.
