Thank you A2Z Auto Masters! I purchased the part for $81.00 and followed your instruction. It took me about 45 minutes to complete.
I am one proud Nana! It was so easy to do. Thanks again! 3/1/2022

GM A2Z Auto Masters, Look, I just had to let everyone know your tutorial was spot on! My 2013 Ford Edge started having the consistent intermittent wiper issue about a year ago. I didn't think anything of it, since I was able to get the wiper to go off after a few cycles of it continuing to go ever few seconds. It really became a nuisance when I couldn't clean my windshield of debris or get the wipers to go off as needed after a real rain; when the wipers were most needed. The problem progressed, and it would take me longer to get the wipers to go off after they were turned on. Well, this became a real headache! On this past Monday, 8/8/22, I was driving home from work and made a stop to get dinner; and the wipers, already doing the intermittent thing, started going as if I had them on during a drive through the rain. I couldn't get them to stop, and it was a hot upper 90 degree day! I turned the vehicle off, and removed the fuse for the wipers; which allowed the issue to stop temporarily. Rain wasn't in the forecast for another two days, and while I had another vehicle, I still knew I needed to get the issue fixed. Fortunately, I had ordered the original part earlier that day off Amazon, after watching your video. I'm not one of these mechanical guys, and often just have someone else perform the service just to get it done. But your video looked so easy, compared to others I viewed, and I wasn't going to pay an astronomical fee at the dealership, for something that looked too easy to do. So, the original part cost me like $58 bucks, I already had my socket wrench set with the various socket sizes (regular and metric); the only thing I needed was the Precision Screwdriver Set, which I was able to get at the local Harbor Freight for $8.99 (the brand was by Pittsburgh and all the products I have purchased through Harbor Freight are well crafted and quality products made here in the US). With tools in hand, I jumped on the task. I followed our exact instructions from the video. Everything was as you said and as easy as it looked. No surprises. Even the encasement around the steering column came apart and snapped right back together when putting everything back in place. Old part taken out, new part installed, and bam...issue fixed! It felt so good driving today...lol! Turned the wipers on and then turned them off. No problems. Everything works seamless. Total time for replacement was about 20 minutes! That is major for me. I felt such a sense of accomplishment when done, and saved all that money it would've cost had I gone the dealership route! Thanks again for the tutorial! If anyone else is having this issue, please follow this video, you won't be disappointed!

Thank you for this video! I was able to swap the wiper switch fairly quickly and for way less money than the mechanic wanted to charge.

I have been trying to figure this out with fuses, the dash menu, everything I could think of. Nothing.
I need to fix this so the old wipers wouldn't wear down & scratch the windshield, yet couldn't figure it out until I found your video here.
This is pure GOLD, & I thank from the bottom of my heart, as this issue is now resolved!
