This Grievous is definitely menacing. He’s seemingly being used as a plot device to cause fear like he was in the 2003 clone wars instead of a character like in 2008, which is great to see in small doses.
I'm already waiting for someone to make an edit that basically replaces the BGM with Samuel Kim's rearranged medley of General Grievous' character theme. Imo, Mace Windu force crushing his abdomen should be canon for how he got his cough. I do miss slender, stealthier grevious. Hanging upside down to ambush jedi like a bat. Star Wars Clone Wars is still my favourite animated series.

Agreed. What’s scary are the rare moments when he only uses 1 saber as that means he’s not even trying at all, which really only happens vs clones, and he’s still such a menace as he only used 1 saber when invading Obi-Wan’s Venator in season 5 and the clones stood no chance. It’s hard to remember how menacing Grievous truly is when he usually only faces Obi-Wan who is great at defending against multiple sabers, or gets clowned on for the sake of the plot.
General Grievous can choose to fight with two arms for more force and pressure on his lightsaber strikes since his arms aren't smaller when he separates them into four
I believe the main reason that kept happening was because capes can be a hassle to animate, especially during a lightsaber duel. Same reason Clone Wars was having Dooku ditch his cape a lot, too.

This massacre is honestly General Grievous' shining moment. He went there and dispatched a bunch of Force users in the most ruthless fashion. Sure, he had his droid army backup but stood out in front of the battle like a leader. I'm glad Lucasfilm is continuing his depiction towards the end of the war as a legimately dangerous threat.

This just makes me want more stories during the Clone Wars that didn't involve Skywalker, Kenobi, or any of the main characters we're used to seeing. There were thousands of other Jedi and millions of other clones fighting the war as well.
Seeing Grevious again warms my freaking heart, my inner child smiles everytime I hear that raspy laugh and see those flowing blades. Any Grevious content we can get, give it to us all. Literally when I saw Grevious in the trailer I screamed so freaking hard!

I wish we had more Grievous scenes like this in The Clone Wars, or even have another flashback with Grievous dual 5 Jedi on Hypori and killing 3 of them since the Jedi were exhausted
That's kinda weird, considering Grievous's first appearance was in 2005 with RotS, and then Filoni's Clone Wars didn't begin until 2008. Okay, technically, his ACTUAL first appearance was the final episode of season two of Tartakovsky's Clone Wars, but even that wasn't until 2004. Alright, I guess you weren't TOO far off the mark.
Same here! Almost like a mix of the terrifying Jedi killing machine from 2003, and a more “haha in your face” type of energy while slaughtering his enemies. Disney actually did something right!

Because of that one line in Revenge of the Sith, they were forced to make Anakin never see Grievous during The Clone Wars animated series.
