I *just* updated this, and now I'll have to do it again after Tales of the Empire!
How long do you keep videos in your files before deleting them?
Also don't forget the Visions season 2 inquisitor this time, Alex.
Man, you just can't catch a break.
Maybe Barriss will be called the 1st sister
The sixth brother and the Inquisitor from Tales Of The Jedi are 2 completely different characters
The Grand Inquisitor. Known for: magically changing head size LMAO
You could say that about dooku from clone wars too
"The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural."
@@flamebreaker7318true but in this case the animation matched the live action race and the live action inquisitor didn’t match
@@gobatron6589 exactly. The pau'ans seen in Revenge of the Sith have cone shaped heads.
"Were they insecure about the shape of their head?" -Auralnauts
According to Palpatine, he wound up abandoning the Inquisitor program sometime prior to return of the jedi, preferring to use the Knights of Ren from that point onward.
My guess is that Palpatine had eliminated all of his difficult targets, so now he just wanted a group that specialized in chaos. He didn't need hunters, just bloodthirsty maniacs.
Really dislike that, the knights of ren were pure cannon fodder, theyre unironically weaker than the inquisitors
@@jordantinucci3509They also looked so cool like many first and final order members. The sequels had so much potential and failed.
The knights sucked ass.. inquisitors are better in fighting skills.
@@jordantinucci3509comic book knights are cooler than the ones we see with Kylo
@@jordantinucci3509I mean in-universe thats not really the case though. They're scary and capable. Not *as* capable as Inquisitors, but certainly capable enough to be worth not having to worry about a group of former Jedi running around in the middle of a Civil War
You forgot the inquisitor that was killed by Maul to get his new lightsaber, and the inquisitor that killed the Jedi survivors on Anoat (though that might just be one that we already know of). Also a “third brother” was mentioned once in a source book and that his fate was hidden from all other members of the inquisitors.
Indeed strange the Third Brother was not mentioned.
Disney probably turned the third “brother” into sister bc they’re obsessed with only having women look “awesome” tho fail at it
Considering the leader of the Inquisitorius is male, as is the "shadow" (Maul), I really doubt the red blades have a female agenda. I imagine that they just did not heed the auxiliary source. As for "looking awesome", I would point to Ahsoka's defeat of some of them as genuine examples.
@@Arcadia_warlic I’m talking abt the women that Disney makes up themselves r mostly not very good. Ahsokas badass anyways Disney can’t ruin her. And I’m talking recently, the grand inquisitor was made a while ago. Basically every new character is female, like how Rey Palpatine is just a ripoff of legends Luke and the same with marvel they’ve replaced all the old avengers w females except spider man, when really we don’t need replacements just good, new characters. I really wasn’t tryna get all into Disneys failures here I was just tryna say they prob made 3rd brother into 3rd sister for representation of women and black ppl.
That really has nothing to do with my point involving the Inquisitors.
If you liked this style of video and want more like it giving it a thumbs up and sharing it would be much appreciated!
Anything to see more Known For facts XD
With this style of video it would be nice to have video chapters, so one can easily find specific entries or easily skip potential spoilers.
I absolutely love this style ❤❤❤.
I wouldn't mention this, except you included the non-canon T0-B1 from Visions, but I would also include the FIRST inquisitor ever mentioned in Star Wars (now non-canon) lore: High Inquisitor Antinnis Tremayne from the old West End Games' Star Wars the Roleplaying Game. Especially since you included the canon Inquisitor from the FFG Roleplaying Game, and since the WEG roleplaying game provided a huge amount of early elements, species names, vehicles, and other details that became a part of Star Wars canon.
I love the style of this video. I would really like to see all Republic or Imperial troops done in this style.
I love these sort of videos. The inquistors are my favorite group in star wars and i love learning more about them. I wish another group similar to them, the Knights of Ren were given more backstories
I really like the Inquisitorious. They are kind of an unteresting Sith-light experiment of Palpatine.
Them not being as strong as true Sith works in their benefit, I feel. It means they can appear in a lot more places in stories and work as opponents too powerful for regular people to handle, but weak against fully trained force-sensitive combatants.
Also I really love the concept of them just being the attack dogs of Vader and when they die, they rarely get replaced. They are just the last remnants of the Jedi used against them until even they are eventually all dead and gone.
Also I agree on the Knights of Ren, I hope they get explored more. More stories specificly about them and their relationship with the force would be very welcome.
The Sixth Brother’s real name is Bill Valen, according to Ferren Barr, who also revealed that the Ninth Sister was Masana Tide, and that the Tenth Brothers name was Prosset Dibs.
Correct and he's not the same inquisitor from Tales Of The Jedi
@@UscruOutlaw It has to be someone else, as the 6th Brother in the Darth Vader comics, the Ahsoka novel, and the one seen in TOTJ Episode 6 have to be different characters.
But apparently, according to Dave Filoni, the scene in the novel has been retconned to be one in the same with the scene in TOTJ Episode 6, which I still don't understand why he did that.
@@Iron_Blood_Enjoyer1933 they are 2 completely different inquisitors. It even states on the official wookieepedia page
@@UscruOutlaw But someone named @CRYSTAL_CUSTOMS was giving me a hard time saying that they're the same character & that Dave Filoni had confirmed it was a retcon.
I think you & I are right that they're separate characters, but they were being a smartass about it.
@@Iron_Blood_Enjoyer1933 it isn't the same character. They are 2 separate events
Second Sister Known For: Galaxy’s Shortest Redemption😂😂😂😂
I always imagined Marrok is the Eighth Brother, having survived his encounter or perhaps not surviving but Morgan found him and used him as his body was the most intact
To me, Marrok is a different character from the 8th Brother because of the way his helmet is shaped. In my mind, he was someone called the 11th Brother.
I always thought Marrok was the Eighth Brother too, brought back to life by Nightsister magick and shocked not more people felt the same when there were so many fan theories going around about him. This is the first time I've seen anyone else make the comparison online. You get my up vote.
@@MightyNilrac Hell Yeah!
They are different species. Marrok had 5 fingers on each hand. The 8th Brother has only 4 because he is a Jumper. That's a detail I think Feloni would've made sure was respected if the they were the same person.
@lastudentessa You're right about the number of fingers. But seeing how different the Grand Inquisitor looked in live action, Ahsoka's live action montrals being shortened for easier choreography, even Cad Bane's live action look being different, there is room for tweaks when animated characters become live action. I see what you mean though, if Marrok was intended to be a Jumper they'd take the time to do the hands right.
I'd love to see Legends Inquisitors like Jerec, Torbin, Brandl, and Tremayne recanonized. Those guys are OG.
Great video Alex! Also, the Sixth Brother’s true name is Bil Valen. Not sure how you keep missing that, but it’s okay.
Because Bil is such a silly name (but mostly because it just slipped my mind)
@@StarWarsExplained Okay, I kind of agree on that. Bil is a weird name for a Star Wars character. I wasn’t trying to be rude, just baffled on how you keep missing that he had an actual name.
@@StarWarsExplainedHi there.
@@ryanlister1244you should’ve said hello there
Those "know for" sections 😂
What know for sections?
"Magically changing head size."
I watched Doug Chang on Celebration 2023 where he said "We've never made this species in real life." Amazing he didn't know from ROTS, of which he did designing.
Love the presentation here! Like we’re going through a hidden database of the Inquisitorious, plus some of the quirks for each of them. (And I love the honorable mention of the Inquisitor from T0-B1.)
If we're counting Visions, that also includes the Inquisitor that shows up in The Bandits of Golak!
The Fifth Brother also took Greez's arm in Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars... but I had almost forgotten about that book too.
What about Naare, the inquisitor from the second season of visions and M-OC. I think they definitely deserve a mention.
Naare is not an inquisitor and she's not wearing a black armor or a spinning lightsaber like the other inquisitors have. she's clearly a Sith acolyte.
undercover, to trick rowan. We know because of the rise of the red blade there was many inquisitors who never earned their armour or their red lightsabre @@ralphbonkale1171
Because the Lego Freemakers is in a grey section of the new EU I imagine Naare was an Inquisitor and was either the the 11th or 12th one. I'm surprised Alex hasn't thought of this.
huh I never thought of that.
@@legovaderproductions6739 I imagine she was meant to be an Inquisitor but given Lucasilms controlative nature when it comes to this group I imagine the creators wear told no so they made her a sith acolyte who who used Jedi get up and gear. The group was still somewhat new in 2016 and 10 years after Rebels came out we still don't know much about its members. We still don't know the Grand Inquisitors real name and who Mauls saber belonged to. Delilah Dawson wanted to do more with them but she was restricted to all those that we already know expect bird skull, Reva and the third brother. I imagine her Jedi disguise, white markings and personality is canon, I imagine that is who she was as a Jedi and as a dark sider she will have the evil personally, orange eyes, the red markings and an Inquisitor getup. I also imagine she died before EP4.
@@StuartLugsden Naare didn't die. she's still alive. After the final battle on Coruscant of season 1 of the freemaker adventures, Graballa the Hutt's men trapped her in Carbonite as punishment for her treachery.
@@ralphbonkale1171 I'm talking about her fate in the real universe. I'm talking about what achaully happened to her.
@@StuartLugsden No idea what happened to her since then. but I'm hoping she can make a return in the future of star wars
I'd by lying If I wasn't a little disappointed that some of the Legends Inquisitors like Jarec werent made Canon.
A lot of good characters and lore werent made canon😒
I love the Inquisitors they are so cool and terrifying a very awesome audition to star wars Can't wait to see more of them
Cool and terrifying? Lmao
I love this new bio format, esepcially the Known For section. Those made me laugh XD
the 7Th sister also slays vampires 😂
We also need to find out which Inquisitor Maul got his new saber from!
He either encountered the Grand Inquisitor or killed another and the design in Rebels and Solo is just a placeholder. I hope they retcon it.
Reva Sevander, also known to be impervious to lightsaber impaling XD
I'm halfway through Rise of the Red Blade now. This is probably the best novel of 2023. Eye of Darkness is a close second. I know I'm only halfway through RotRB, but it's soooooooooo good!. I mean REALLY GOOD! Delilah Dawson is top tier with Timothy Zahn and Claudia Gray.
Agreed. I actually think that Rise of the Red Blade is in the top 10 best Star Wars novels ever, and that’s despite it being a YA book. It’s not perfect, but it’s a very enjoyable read
"Known For: All the incorrect fan theories" Love it
I'm actually kinda surprised you didn't mention the other visons Inquisitor from The Bandits of Golak
Me too!
A nice rundown of the Inquisitors. Rise of the Red Blade was a great read.
Marrok has the best 'Knon For' section.
fun fact: Fifth Brother's design is based on scrapped concept art for Kylo Ren
How could you miss the Inquisitor from the Bandits of Golak short from Visions Volume 2?! He's one of the best Inquisitors!
And I do love how almost all the Known For facts are jokes, but none of them are incorrect either.
I kinda wished the Inquisitors were given a bit more dark side training. Granted, they would obviously be no match for Darth Vader, but at least they would present more of a challenge for the Jedi survivors.
It really depends on the medium, in both the comics and more so the books, they present a much bigger threat (even killing or capturing a fair few jedi).
Part of it is that certain targets like Maul and Ahsoka were much more skilled than your average Jedi survivor.
To be honest, I like to think that the Inquisitor seen in Tales of the Jedi episode 6 is a separate character from the 6th Brother completely.
IMO, the 6th Brother is the one shown in the comics. As for the one seen in Tales of the Jedi, personally, I call him the 2nd Brother.
A number is only used once
There is no second brother, plus Ahsoka got her white crystals from the 6th brother in the book so they're probably the same character
@@carsonr3909 Fine then, he's the 14th Brother.
@Iron_Blood_Enjoyer1933 no, he's the 6th brother, it was a redesign but it's the same character
@@CRYSTAL_CUSTOMS It can't be though, because in Tales of the Jedi episode 6, the Inquisitor there had his lightsaber stolen by Ahsoka and was then decapitated by it.
Meanwhile, the 6th Brother was, and I quote: "Despite her lack of lightsabers, Tano was able to fight the Sixth Brother on a relatively even footing and eventually *used the Force to pull the crystals from within his lightsaber just as he tried to deactivate its spinning feature.*
There was also Third Brother mentioned in one of the visual guides. Maybe he existed, but Reva took his spot somehow.
Yeah, and it was said his fate was hidden from the other inquisitors. Maybe he was too weak, or even too powerful, and was killed or put in stasis of some sort so Reva could fill his place.
IIRC that guide is French only and conflates Legends and New Canon quite considerably. But it's certainly mentioned but unlikely to be strictly canon at this point. So far, all Inquisitors have followed the same numbering system
Hate to be that person but there was another inquisitor in the season 2 India Star Wars Visions episode that duels the old lady
Those are not Canon stories.
@@TheDarkPorkins if he mentioned one from visions he would’ve mentioned the other.
@TheDarkPorkins He did included the Inquisitor fought Tobi in the video.
Aw you should have mentioned all the visions inquisitors! The one featured in the episode out of India was so cool!
Do you think the grand inquisitor could’ve been? A powerful allied to the rebellion, and then to the new Republic.
presumably the grand inquisitor is the first brother
The inquisitors are some of the coolest elements of the new canon (I know they were in legends first). Thank you for the video!
I actually love that inquisitors are bad at fighting because they are meant to be lightsaber fodder. They weren’t meant to be anything near as powerful as a sith, but they were assassins trained just enough to kill a Palawan. What’s funny is when they encountered anyone stronger than that, they immediately died.
super informative, great work! also I‘m a huge fan of the ‘known for‘ category, please keep that if you choose to continue this type of format :D
Great comprehensive video.
Btw, acording to Iskat the 7th Sister was also highly probably tortured until she broke.
Probably. All we know is that the Seventh Sister was broken.
Isn't the Sixth Brother named Bil Valen? I could've sworn we found that out when Ferren Barr listed off all the Inquisitor names in the Darth Vader 2017 comic? Masana Tide was the 9th Sister, Prosset Dibs was the 10th Brother, leaving Bil Valen as the Sixth Brother. You also missed the Inquisitor from Visions Season 2.
The bandits of golak episode of visions had an inquisitor too. Just thought i should mention him.
I meant to add him, his design is so cool!
This video style is really well-made
Loved your inquisitor descriptions on this vid. Made me chuckle lol
How about such a video about the Jedi Council?
The Known For bits are funny as heck, well played
Almost to that 800k guys! Been watching you for years. Keep up the great content!
The second sister is known for being the hottest inquisitor
You forgot to mention the inquisition that appeared in visions volume 2, the one based on a Demon from Indian folklore
Everybody expects the Imperial Inquisition
The Indian inquisitor from Visons s2 was awesome!
Bruh’s gonna have to add Barriss Offee to the list now😂
I *just* remade this lol
I found a few mistakes in you video:
1. Sixth Brother's real name is Bil Valen
2. You forgot to mention Seventh Sister being broken by the Empire.
I don’t think Seventh Sister was broken by the empire. If I remember correctly, in Rise of the Red Blade it’s alluded to that Seventh Sister was one of the few fallen Jedi who voluntarily joined the inquisitorius.
@SarastistheSerpent on page 246, they said there was something broken about Seventh Sister and there was something shattered inside her. It also said the Empire turned the Seventh Sister away from the Jedi. That implies she was forced to become an inquisitor.
I LOVE all the known for's. They are amazing. This type of video is also really nice. Might add music like during the Timeline videos just to add something but that's just me.
Brilliant
Love the video format! It was great!
awesome vid brotha...hope to get my son and i's channel up and running thanks to motivation and inspiration from your channel...
This video really captivated me due to how much information was easily digestible. I really like this style I hope its not to much extra work to do
Isn't the Sixth Brother's real name Bil Valen?
Source - Barr, T. (2018) Star Wars: The Dark Side. Madrid: Hachette Heroes.
Really good video. I additional inquisitor is the one from the Star Wars VisionsS2 episode “The Bandits of Golak”
Good job!!! This was very helpful!
It's so ironic that most of these warriors trained specifically to hunt down force users specifically Jedi, just found themselves dying by the hand of all of these surviving Jedi, even Maul practically took out 3 like if it was nothing, IDK whose worse in regards of being overhyped just to die like chums, the Inquisitors or the Knights of Ren.
I got so used to seeing you answering questions regarding Ahsoka and new SW projects, that I forgot you had these super nerd and deep-cut videos in your channel
Sixth Brother's real name is Bil Valen.
Could you please also do a video detailing all of the known Inquisitors in Legends?
Damn, you were brutal here when it comes to what they are known for.
I hope we get more live action inquisitors I’d like to see the grand inquisitor in his ghostly form in live action with the right effects that could look amazing
magically changing head size 😭😭
What happened to project harvester!?!?!?
Yall were feeling goofy today and i love it
Thanks for this video. There has to be another Inquisitor that Maul killed to create his Rebels/Solo lightsaber.
The Sith inquisitors are badass for villains.
the known for commentary/jokes were spot on, really enjoyed this!
Vader thinks for himself if I cannot have Padme those two inquisitors should not be in love with each other killed Them
I think you miss one:
In the book Dark Maul and Dark Side Agents, an Inquisitor called 3th brother is mentionned but i don't know more about him
And if there is a 13th sister they may have a 11th sister and a 12th brother.
And Tualon is certainly the 14th brother since Iskat became the 13th sister before Tualon become an inquisitor.
Pretty cool info here, thank you
I think it's safe to say Trilla(The Second Sister) is the best Inquisitor.
Some known for's had me wheezing!!! 😂😂😂
This video is sick!! Keep it up!!
Love the addition of the info cards
Great video. Thank you
Fourth Sister is my favourite, the mysterious race and not knowing her history certainly makes her interesting. Plus while never playing the game Trilla is also pretty cool for the opposite reasons of the Fourth sister. Being betrayed and turned and then redeeming herself to become a victim of Vader is always fun.
Ahsoka is the goat, she’s killed THREE of these guys.
She only killed 2 6th brother and Marrok the latter being already dead.
Maul killed the most inquisitors
Could you do one about the Inquisitors from Legends? I'm curious about the differences.
Any reason you mentioned the Inquisitor from T0-B1 but not the one from Bandits of Golak? Just curious, neither are canon so it don’t matter. Otherwise fantastic video, love all the editing and visuals flair and the little jokes going on. Excellent work 💪💪
There was that inquisitor that appeared in Star Wars visions vol.2 in the the bandits of golak and one of the coolest ones of the bunch
Love the new long form format!
Really hoping to see Barriss Offee revealed as the First Sister in a project in the near future! Maybe Tales of the Jedi or something
I'm loving this new profile format, it looks like something out of the official Star Wars channel!
You included the Inquisitor from "Star Wars: Visions" S1E6: T0-B1, but you forgot about the one from S2E7: The Bandits of Golak.
Marrok and bird face dude were killed off too soon
By the way, Fifth brother did also appear in Darth Vader comic book run and Jedi Battlescars which you have covered on the channel by the wau. Live the list by the way, hope fully there’ll be more on the way.
I feel like Mollie has a hand in writing the Seventh Sister's bio. 😊
