- YAMAHA TENERE 700 STORAGE HACK - WHY WOULDN'T YA?
Here's a little used space available on the Yamaha Tenere 700, great for small, lightweight bits and bobs that you might require to get you or a mate home?

To prevent stuff from getting lost down the sides of the swingarm, you can stuff those cavities with window foam which you can get from any home improvement store.
Thank you!! Totally never noticed this. I fit a 21-inch spare tube in there by unrolling it and guiding it in with a tire iron, first towards the back as far as it goes, and then towards the left and right side before closing it up. Works a treat!
Glad it helped! There's been quite a few idea's. I reckon the tube tops it though.
Great Tip! It would be a great place for a spare tube.
I’m making a list, will try that out 👍🏼
Cool idea. Hope your healing nicely and quickly.
Thanks mate, hope you're doing okay out there :-)
Thanks for sharing, that's indeed a nice sport for some lightweight stuff.
It sure is! THANKS for watching mate :-)
That would work great until you upgrade to a high pipe setup!
Come on with recent past performance you are going to need a much larger space for your first aid kit! Seriously just thinking that an old air filter would probably seal up that hollow tube of the swinging arm to stop anything escaping down it. If that was the only damage to the bike on those crash bars then that is pretty impressive. Get well soon.
HAHAHA CHEERS matey - I'm an inpatient patient - - really wanna go for a bimble but not quite repaired - will get there soon :-D Awesome idea that too - blocking the swing arms :-) ... yes the crash bars will get the black marker pen treatment and that's about it to be honest, looks brill with a couple of war wounds though unlike me ;-)

A tow strap fits perfectly in the swing arm.
Definitely something I need to add to my kit!
I picked up a Motowinch to save the checks my back writes. Fro CT, USa
I’ve just checked that out! What a cool thing!
Another very handy item to always have with you is a roll of electrical tape.
Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely right Dave. Can do a lot with tape. A proper get you home repair.
I hope you heal quickly. Robe hurt bad. How many did you break?
Doctor didn't commit to numbers just said yeh broken ribs and all I have to do is rest - certainly three or more, I once did all of them and that wasn't a fun time haha. This is more in one area and I'm beginning to feel some slight improvement in that the pain relief meds work well.
@@TheRiderGuider I broke one rib once. Bloody terrible pain.
@@hachewie still out of action … not rested though so now got ten days of light duties to sort it out 😊👍🏼
@@TheRiderGuider Take it easy mate.
nice little nook you found there
I reckon it's for weed really haha.
Weed or disassembled handgun 🤣
Maybe both 😆
I carry my recovery tow strap, black working nitrile gloves and zip ties there.
What size is that UNI filter?
Errr dunno to be honest, physical size, as in length and width? I'll be cleaning it soon - and I'll measure it and come back to you.
u can traffic in there illegal substances paal 😁😁. lol nice idea to put tracker. AIRTAG
Haha not the first to suggest that mate LOL
You should get a mouse! :D
LOL definitely worthy of a furry animal, maybe a Gopher?
whould a inner tube fit in there?
I think probably not, however, I've since discovered there's another hole (slightly longer/wider down the inside of the swinging arm, possibly in there, if you were taking off your rear wheel (for puncture) it is easily accessible.
Just fit a 21-inch spare tube in there, totally works, just unroll the tube and guide it in with a tire iron, first toward the back as far is it goes, and then to the left and right side.
It’s a pre filter….
Great spot for the pre filter yes, little ziplock plastic bag and in it goes :-)
