UK Weather Forecast: Plenty Of Hot Sunshine In The South (Tuesday 25th June 2024)

Good morning everyone and welcome to todays UK weather forecast on Tuesday 25th June 2024.
Current Situation: High pressure remains over the top of the country...
Today:
Tuesday begins mostly dry though there is some patchy rain and drizzle across western Scotland. It's been a very warm and humid night in the south with temperatures holding up at 20C in some towns and cities.
Through the rest of the day a few heavy, thundery showers could break out across parts of Scotland and the far north east of England but much of England and Wales will stay dry with plenty of hot sunshine. Temperatures range from 21C to 30C (70F to 86F) in most places but northern Scotland will be cooler at 13C to 16C.
Tonight:
Showers soon fading out in the north with most places becoming dry. There will be a mix of clear spells and variable cloud with warm and humid temperatures of 10C to 20C once again.
Tomorrow:
Most places staying dry with plenty of sunshine but a few scattered thunderstorms could develop through southern Scotland. A very warm or hot day with temperatures of 22C to 31C (72F to 88F)
Outlook:
Thursday: A band of light rain pushing eastwards. Hot in the east but turning cooler and fresher in the west.
Friday: Cooler and fresher but still warm with plenty of sunshine.
Saturday: Some showers in the north but most places dry with warm spells of sunshine.
