Ten Day Forecast: Still Looking For Drier And Warmer Weather?

- Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's ten day forecast video update. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days. Day ten will take us to 15th July - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at the CFS V2 for July at the end of the video...
The weather remains rather cool and unsettled with low pressure bringing showery conditions. The rest of the week will stay cool and mixed with a risk of further showery conditions at times. Looking ahead to the weekend and next week we should see temperatures becoming slightly warmer and returning closer to average but it may also become much wetter with spells heavy and perhaps even thundery rain likely but as we push out to the middle and second half of July we're still looking for some warmer and drier weather within the model output...

Great update as always Gavin. They were looking before on news to see what the weather was like in the uk after the general elections over the years like 1997 one 2001 and so on. And great clip Gav of 2020 weather chart haha.

They say we've had more rain this year than in the last three. By the looks of it i tend to agree.
Not sure where you live but where I am this week is the first bit of rain we had in well over a month

As I keep saying there is no drought in the South East.
No drought but we need the rain. Cool weather does not mean rain
@@parmaman8551 There has been an overall rainfall of between 48ml to 57 ml over the South East in general in the past month. I still would not say we are in desperate need for rain. For me days around 30c with afternoon thunderstorms, not to damaging off course and a night min of 21c would suit me.
We do not need rain, I live during the week in Eastbourne and yes its dry but not desperate for rain.
Grass was beginning to turn yellow where I was this rain is good
