JBL Partybox 110 paired with a Mackie Thump Go a Super HiFi Full Range Sounding All Battery PA

  • For under $900 I think this is the "Best Sounding" Bluetooth Battery Portable PA!
    Next step up - JBL Eon One MK2 $1,200 • JBL Eon One MK2 Unboxi...
    Soundboks3 at $1,000 would be an interesting comparison but I have never heard it. From what I have read the Soundboks will be louder but not as Hifi sounding as the JBL110/Mackie Thump Go combination. Soundboks is much heavier.

    This system sounded great outdoors, until its volume limit. Indoor listening at reasonable volumes, 85-90db these two sound very Hifi! The JBl has some real weight to its bass and the Mackie adds volume and some clean highs that JBL lacks. JBL is very mid and low heavy. Much better than getting a second PB110. This might be the ultimate, light weight, portable battery system for under $900.

    FYI : PB110 gets louder if plugged into AC. Also, since port is on the back, you can boost the bass by putting it up against a wall.

    JBL recently added a three band EQ through a firmware update. It makes a great difference! Amazed this speaker is still $400 after all other speakers have jumped in price.

    I use the Mackie thump go paired with the JBL PBX 100 and indeed they complement the sound for outdoor EDM parties I'm throwing. Both connected to a power station battery

    There is another battery operated subwoofer I forgot to mention . The Diamondboxx Sub8.2 at $1,000! At that price I would definitely get a Bose Sub1 and run it on external battery power. diamondboxx.com/products/sub8-2

    Does the Everse 8 sound more hifi and have more bass then most of these other portable PA’s? I heard one of your demos and it sounded pretty hifi to me, I’m curious how it sounds compared to something like the jbl 110, that would be interesting.
    Thanks for sharing.

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yes, the Everse 8 is more full range and Hifi sounding than the others but it takes some EQing to get it to sound right. Out of the box it is flat sounding and many people are disappointed. JBL110 has better bass and Hifi sound out of the box but JBL110 can't produce sound over 95dB! Watch this new video.

    Great vid!! Have you tried the JBL Partybox Encore (not the Essential)? I have the 110 and the Encore, and the Encore is almost up there with the 110 regarding bass. But the Encore is like 13 lbs and less than half the size. Also in agreement about the 110. It isn't really a loud speaker at all but the bass is there. I've yet to test the Encore, but I hope it doesn't self-limit like the Partybox 110. Take Care.

      @@WWeiss-nv5vz Thanks, hey could I ask you something, I've been thinking on getting a battery powered and a powered one I was thinking about the EV 30M and a HK array tower that is like 660. But I really wonder what's the tea with the soundboks 3 instead of the Ev 30M. Any suggestions? The idea is that I want to play for small business at outdoors just to give them some ambient but also if I book something like a party of 70 persons I would have enough power of quality sound. I'm throwing my last savings on getting a decent PA system(probably will get into debt) and I still can't decide. I really would appreciate on any advice.

      @@xha-mnsounds9531 Can't speak to the HK- never heard it, but I do have the EV30m. Sounboks3 is loud - end of story. People report little bass. Very few DJs and almost no musicians use the Soundboks. Plus with the Soundboks you will have to carry a heavy duty stand because it is a heavy speaker. You will need to get it up high above people's heads for 70 people.
      The EV30 is the most popular column array on the Acoustic Guitar forum. You know how picky guitarist/vocalist are about their sound. The EV has the best Bluetooth App on the market! www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=650393JBL EonMK2 is another great choice with internal battery but not as loud as the EV or Soundboks.
