Hello! I am a therapist in the USA. I am a strong advocate for caring for our mental health as much as our physical health. The two are inextricably linked! I have not heard you mention working with a mental health professional. Absolutely your right to not say and I wanted to share that I have worked with several people with cancer who were able to thrive with cancer because they focused on working as hard on their mental health as physical. I highly recommend! I notice you say “I need to stop being scared” or other feelings. Those feelings are completely valid and need to be felt, processed, etc. You can be scared and brave at the same time😊 All this to say I hope you are taking advantage of mental health resources offered by the Royal Marsden. You care deeply for your family and we usually hold back a bit with family to protect them. You don’t have to do that with a therapist 😉
Matt's right about still being YOU after the surgery. You are so lucky to have the support from family. Your mother is a gem and Matt is one in a million. He loves to cuddle you. So sweet. Get strong and stay positive. You can and will get through this. ♡

Tiffany have you thought about getting some lovely home comforts things for your stay in hospital? A nice big hospital bag a hot water bottle, fave snacks , headphones , cosy socks and perfumes or hair bands and towels? A nice hospital gown and pjs? Maybe do some positive shopping for that time in your life.
Put Netflix on your phone and Spotify and get some books to read?

Honestly, Tiffany you have no idea how many people you are helping with your story, vulnerability and bursts of optimism and hope. You are dealing with so much and while you may have days where you're devastated you inspire me so much of how even when things seem depressing and sad, you can still find some silver lining.
I used to think that people are cheerful and happy because everything is going well in their lives. But, Tiffany, you are showing everyone that it is a choice to fight for your happiness in this life. I admire you so much 💙

Don’t be moved by what you see or even what you feel or what you hear only be moved by what believe and that’s God’s Word. You are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Seated denotes a position of “REST”. Tiffany just maintain your position and stay seated. God’s got this, the battle is His not yours. The Word of God says “when the enemy comes in…Like a flood God will lift up a standard against them Isaiah 59:19. Tiffany stand still and maintain your position of rest. Meditate on 91 Psalm daily and let not your heart be troubled nor let it not be afraid because God knows how to take care of what belongs to Him. May you walk in true peace all the days of your life. I praise God for your complete restoration for it is already done. Love you eternally ❤

Let me tell you something, We are all dying every day, even thousands that do not have cancer right now will die before you. Yes things happen but, if you already decided to go ahead with this surgery, don’t do it because your mom, or your lovely boyfriend, just do it BECAUSE YOU WANT TO LIVE. From now on do things because You want to do it, and yes is going to be a life changer surgery, and you have to have lots of courage and strength, without fear will be easier, and we all know by now you are So Brave! We admire you and we follow you because you are really amazing, allow you to be mad! Sad! Crying, even screaming is healthy! Because warriors do that! And if you are afraid is normal ! But don’t let fear take the best of you!
Difficult moments are coming, yes more difficult moments, but you are so incredibly strong!

Tiffany just wanted to say to you , I was by the side of my BFF who had very similar surgery to what you are going to have . Please please please focus on yourself you need to build up your strength it will help you so much when you have the surgery. My friend and I went on a 3 month “ build up programme before her op and it proved to be so useful.
After the op you are still you but you are cancer free ,the rest you can work through . All that matters is that you are loved and you are alive . Please please prepare for this op you will reep the rewards afterwards in your recovery xxxxxxx
There is nothing wrong with crying. It is a natural release of stress and tension. I can understand that no one wants to cry all the time but when you really feel you have to, allow yourself 💙
I think you are handling this like a cancer warrior!! Brave only scratches the surface of how you are staring Cancer in the face and continue fighting on every moment of everyday. Live in the moment sweet girl! I learned this skill when my mom had terminal cancer and my daughter was ill and hospitalized with something the drs couldn’t figure out. Each minute is so sweet and fulfilling when you put tomorrow completely away from your thoughts. 💙🙏💙

Tiffany you are so strong and I love that you don’t let Debbie downers get to you. I am a stage 4 colon cancer person who looks healthy even going thru treatment. I can’t believe anyone can be so ignorant stating that you have to look sick to have cancer.
I think people expect all patients with cancer to have no hair , pale , etc. it’s some of the treatments for cancer that make you look like a cancer patient but otherwise you can’t see symptoms of cancer !! Only Ignorant people will think that you are faking it !! X
I too am a stage 4 lung cancer patient and people can't believe it because of what I look like. I tell them first, it's God's grace and mercy over me and the Dr's and meds I take. I have said to some, " Would you feel better if I look worse?" People can be rude, cruel and ignorant. Keep positive and only positive people around you. I'm so glad to hear how you're speaking directly to them. This is a serious fight and we will not entertain ignorance. Trust and believe in God Tiffany. WE GOT THIS❣️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Agree - me neither, I only got diagnosed because the tumour caused blood clots in legs and lungs! . They may be just ignorant- but it makes no sense what they say, after all, there was a “cancer look”for all cancers, noone would get diagnosed too late!
Your right every cancer is different as well my son had leukaemia he looked dreadful for two years the chemo had a terrible effect on him it was long and hard .The steroids that he was on bloated his face so much he was hard to recognise .
His fiancé is just recovering from having a massive sarcoma on her leg which she hid with long skirts . She wore a wig and to look at her with clever makeup used you couldn’t tell .
The world has nasty people. It should not be a surprise. I won’t even waste a moment of beautiful life paying attention to them - it is what they want. Love to all the dear community here!! 🥰🥰

It's sad because it proves that some people will never be take word when someone is struggling, and there are people in this world who would outright deny and make the other person feel bad and even leave them. It says more about the denier than it does about those they deny and think they are exposing. It happened with my aunt while she struggled with both breast cancer and leukemia*. A supposed 'longtime friend' said outright that she didn't believe her and left. Now my aunt is in remission and as far as I'm aware she never tried contacting that said-'friend' again.
Honestly how can some one say you don’t have cancer. I have terminal cancer and I look great on the outside. One can never talk my gosh that person is nasty. How on earth do people think your faking cancer?? Do they think all the doctors or nurses in your videos are actors? You rent out fake hospital rooms haha. Some people are crazy. I remember when I suffered with depression I looked happy and joyful on the outside that no one had a clue I was suffering. Inside I was nothing but darkness.

I know, right? Lol! Tiffany's would have had to hire out an entire block of the hospital, and pay off medical personnel to let her apply her own medicine drip to her arm, and pay off nurses to be her actresses!
I mean she's literally filmed herself in a hospital with IV's in her arms and getting chemotherapy, people just like to be negative for the sake of it. And I think some people are just jealous, obviously no one wants cancer but when you do have it you get all these nice comments, lots of sympathy and attention so I think people are jealous of that.
Well I just heard a hotel chain throwing a guide dog and her guided owner snd boyfriend for having a fake guide dog. Beggars belief. There are muppets about and..we all do make mistakes. Somewhere inbetween hope we find the decency and humility to accept we are in the wrong and take restorative measures starting with an authentic apology and then a genuine offer to be of constructive help. Oh, it is so great to see a smile on your beautiful face! I commented on the last video about my husband (and then deleted it) having both a urostomy and a colostromy and having much of the same surgery as you are facing. I was telling him about your video and so we watched it together. And he commented to me that there will be an adjustment period when you are getting used to the new plumbing, but after that--life will be pretty great.

I had endoscopies about 10 days ago and had 6 colorectal polyps and today I received the pathology report, NO CANCER!! It makes me feel so relieved. You have been in my thoughts the whole time & I am so lucky. I am 69yo any body can get cancer but the older you get the chances of having cancer increases tremendously. Remind you family and friends to have their colonoscopy done. You to Amma. Love to you all. Just a suggestion, I think you should be wearing a mask around your nephew since he is in school, kids catch illness at school & bring them home.

Absolutely, so many people wrote me off when I was diagnosed with an illness twenty years ago, now some of them are dead and the other half are worse than me but am still thriving by God's grace and power of positivity.

I'm a mother of adult children and I think of your Mom often. As a mom we want to fix our children's problems and heal their sad hurt hearts. She can't fix this for you and I know that it is breaking her heart to watch you goes through this. All she can do is hold you and walk with you as you weather this storm. Dear Tiffany, you are handling your cancer with so much strength and grace. You are upbeat and you are trying to wrap your head around your next journey with cancer. Go out now and make new memories, you can use them when you are in the hospital and have visitors. Remember, you can have good and bad days. It's OK to cry too ! I might sound like a Debie downer some times but I am only saying what I wish someone would have told me. I cannot stress enough to talk to a cancer nurse, support group, even a therapist. You will find yourself pushing Matt and Amma away some days. It will feel like you are a burden to them. We know you are not !!!!! They are taking your journey with you by choice. I survived 2 cancers and just this year cleared the 5 yr mark for the second. One of these years we will celebrate YOUR 5 year mark. You look especially pretty when you have your hair pulled back. When you were showing us your Hello Fresh box ,at one point your hair was pulled back and then it was down.! Lol please know we are so blessed to be a part of your Tiffanythinks Family. Take care, remember with cancer it is a slow journey and not a race and everyone's body handles things differently. I'm glad your Dr has you drinking a lot of water . I had to go back into hospital 2 times for dehydration and I thought I WAS drinking a lot.

Tiffany, I'm musician, I have two singer partners who have a bag because colostomy. They continue to being the kings of stage 😎One of them just got a baby. Don't worry the life continues. At first is strong but meanwhile passing the time all returns to normal life. You have energy enough to achieve freedom of cancer.

Tiffany...just a thought...you may want to keep your garden membership as the recovery time does not mean 6-12 months in bed!! You may find a trip to the garden shop, even if you require assistance, may lift your spirits...especially in Spring,,,the season of new beginnings!

Matt is absolutely right, theres nothing that can take who you are away from you- you will always be tiff - joyous, kind, loving, faithful and all the other wonderful thing about you. When we go through the greatest of challenges they can really make us greater people. You will have grown in ways not many will ever understand. I have cried & wailed a waterfall of tears in the shower. After my children went to bed, I'd put on some quiet music in my room & let it, the shower & extractor fan cover up my sobs. It was the only time I could let myself feel what was happening & the only way I could cry without fearing I'd upset my children. I hope you find a place where you can release too Tiffany. There are many steps to acceptance- being sad, disbelief, and anger are just a few! It’s a natural human response- don’t be so hard on yourself!! Matt is right Cancer is a part of your life but it does not take away Who Tiffany is!! You are right about pushing yourself to get up and get outside to remember there is still life to live! Tiffany when I was diagnosed with cancer the fear was overwhelming 24/7. But it will ebb and flow. When it's less so, try and do little things as this does help. When it's worse, talk to someone if you can. There are many cancer charities that have telephone help lines that can really help on those dark days. You are totally amazing and an inspiration to others. But you cant be brave all the time. Allow yourself to cry and grieve as it does help to relieve the pressure. Love and prayers. X

Just wanted to say I’m so happy you’re able to get the surgery. Cancer is hard and it takes so much out of us, not just physically, but in all ways possible. Don’t feel bad about feeling down or depressed, it’s Normal to grieve all that you’ve already lost and will have taken from you. Give yourself time to grieve/mourn then get up, and continue this fight, you’ve got the strength and determination to get through this and come out healthy and cancer free on the other side. Things will change, but who you are at your core, remains the same. You’re such an inspiration to so many people. You may miss out on some things this Christmas, but this just means that next year you’ll have a really big Christmas celebration and I can’t wait to see what you do. All the best to you and your loving family.

I just want to add that I suffer with depression and the best medicine is always getting out of the house. Sometimes are more difficult, but I at least sit on the patio and drink my coffee. I have to really force myself sometimes, and I'm so glad for you that you got out for the day. You are surrounded in love, and I'm praying for a complete recovery. I think you are spot on about jumping into your daily life with enthusiasm, and enjoying yourself and your life as much as possible - I mean why not, illness or not? I'm in New Zealand and there's a well known singer here, Stan Walker and in his family runs stomach cancer, literally they all die from it young. He chose to have his stomach removed to avoid it and he can never eat food again.
The other parts of his life that aren't food have grown into the gap so to speak. He finds joy in many areas and ways. He adjusted, it's getting through the unknown that is the mountain, soon you'll be on top looking down on the view, then next running through the valleys, laughing. X

For sweet Tiffany or anyone else who needs to hear this, it’s okay to be scared. It’s so very understandable and okay. What you can do - by leaving the house, if you can, is doing stuff despite your fear - it might distract you for a moment and give you a break and gives perspective and sometimes just gives even 20 percent ease. I’ll sometimes walk around the block to just do something when I’m anxious. You and we got this! 🙌⭐️💙💙💙

Sweet Tiffany 💖 so good to see you getting up and around a bit. When I was diagnosed one year ago with breast cancer - it took me a good while to process the reality of it. Being a nurse, I wasn’t the one who ever got sick! I took care of others! This can’t be real I thought. Following my surgery and many weeks of radiation treatment all during the holidays last year - I made myself enjoy the little things I enjoyed Forcing myself to go out and about to do routine life things and enjoy friends and family was the best diversion for me. Stay strong, and take one day at a time 👍🏻. Tomorrow is promised to know one - so appreciate every day we are given for the gift it is 💞🙏🏻. You’ve got this 🤗

For someone to even fathom that you'd be faking it, it's crazy, but to actually take time to write a nasty message about it, it's a level of insanity i never thought possible. Our prayed group(we pray for specific youtubers that have cancer) thought a few weeks back that she may be less than honest about things... we are all cancer survivors and just thought her reactions to things were not what we considered being normal. We had been fooled before by other youtubers who faked or grossly exaggerated their conditions. We continued to pray on it and felt a little ashamed of doubting this poor girl. We revisited many of her videos and realized that we were wrong to doubt her. I too felt ashamed of snarky comments I left regarding Matt leaving her alone in the hospital. I pray for her everyday and truly believe with God's blessings she can be cured. So sorry Tiffany if any comments I left gave you addition grief

Darling Tiffany and family. This is a really difficult time for you all, always remember little steps make a leap!! I have been following your story for ages and always admire your attitude and bravery! On the 8th November I was in a near fatal accident on the M4 when a massive lorry hit my car and I went spinning off the road into the barrier. I really don’t know how I climbed out of my wrecked car with no physical injuries. I have flash backs constantly and very panicky now! I’ve watched two of your videos since the accident and they are a therapy for me so I want to say a really massive thank you for the love you spread. What!!! You thought at one point that you would just not have the surgery. Oh, Tiff you don't know how much people suffer when they let cancer take its course. Some people have no choice because surgery is not an option. Cancer left untreated is ruthless, totally merciless. It spreads to other organs and body systems. It is a powerful adversary that you and your doctors are fighting, and doctors do persevere often. That is why I appreciate cancer treatments and surgeries, such as they are. I will take surgery any day before letting go a chance to have my life, and even just to make my death a better one if that is what is in God's plan. You are making a wise decision to move on, and to face the surgery with courage, and to expect to continue to be the lovely girl with the beautiful eyes, sweet smile and gentle nature after surgery.
