I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. My mom watched two of her children be sick from cancer. Sadly my brother passed away. The pain she had in her heart was unbearable. Let Amma be there for you, let her cry with you, let her hold your hand, let her wipe your tears, this is what moms need to do. My mom used to tell me, it doesn’t matter how old we are she will always be our MOM. Biggest hugs to Amma and Tiffany you seem to have so much joy in your heart right now it is so nice to see. I call all of my health issues bumps in the road. You will get over this bump and life will be so much better 💕
My dear, beautiful, love of my life grandma had to deal with my moms cancer, which we almost lost her and my grandma was there every single day, for months why my mom was still in the hospital, she said a mothers love and care starts at the womb to the tomb, which is so true and didnt really get it until i had my own children. A saying could never be more true!

I have a daughter who’s just turned 27. I can’t imagine the unbearable pain you must have gone through. I’m so glad your daughter is ok now. It was heart wrenching to see Tiffany’s mum I’m this video. The pain in her eyes. I’m a nurse here in Australia. I see young adults with cancer and as much as I do all I can to help them I pay so much attention to the parents. I’m really concerned about Tiffany’s mum from a medical standpoint.

You got this Tiffany - love your positivity. I generally try to watch your videos as an onlooker and not get emotionally drawn in, but today seeing Amma's comportment in the waiting room hit me hard on an emotional level. I hope she's also seeing a counselor to help her deal with your cancer journey. Wishing you the peace from God that surpasses all understanding.

Omg, I thought I was the only one that saw how drained and upset Amma was in the hospital as they were waiting for the doctor. That really pulled at my heart strings. She is so strong, but I can’t even begin to imagine what she is dealing with seeing her daughter go through all this. My heart goes out to her and mothers everywhere whose children are unwell.
To Oma (spelling?) I see her pain. I hurt for her. She’s such a loving Mom. She’s the strongest person I’ve ever seen. To watch her child suffer is awful. I’d love to hug her so tight. 💙💙💙💙hi from 🇨🇦 Tiffany. My comment today is for Amma. Today was an extremely HARD day for her. I know she usually sits out appointments in the car. Today she came in, and heard some pretty complicated & explicit details I imagine. You could see the sorrow and fear in her eyes behind that mask.
Yes... She opted to stay home for a "rest." I think she needed time alone for a good cry. Also... The look on her face (almost like horror) at the food treat you brought back for her.... Her face, to me was like "how can I possibly EAT when I feel like this?" I imagine her anxiety, stomach knots, and fearful brain is every single bit as bad as yours is, Tiff... and she too, tries to put on the brave face to protect you too. I feel like today she just Crashed & really hit a wall.
So Amma and Tiffany... Hug it out and cry it out together. Reassure Amma that you will be strong enough to deal with the after effects of surgery, no matter how it goes. Tell Amma in WORDS that she helps you stay strong so much with her actions every single day! It's very easy to see that you are as close as can be, but sometimes we need the WORDS our loud, along with the hugs. Tell Amma from me, that she is a true Momma Bear & is doing a WONDERFUL JOB, but that she absolutely needs to take care of herself too. ❤️❤️

I think you are assuming an awful lot. Amma was exhausted, had been sleeping, she was sleepy when Tiffany handed her the bag of food. Don't assume you know that she was "horrified". Remember these videos are edited as well. We miss a lot too, of what goes on amongst Tiffany, Matt, and Amma. Maybe they ARE already hugging and crying it all out every day, most of the day. We get a tiny slice of their lives here in a half hour video. Tiffany is putting a brave and positive face forward, and I don't see why people have a problem with that.

I, myself have travelled the cancer road, and know all too well how it affects EVERYONE in the family.
I am 67 and a mother myself, and I know how I would be struggling to keep my *hit together if it had been my daughter going through treatment, and not me. So I DO identify with Amma. She is Tiffany's rock for sure, as is Matt.
I have been following Tiffany from the start (and even 5 years ago), so I would never say an unkind thing about her or her family. I know she doesn't post every private moment. I know being on camera is not Matt or Amma's favorite thing, but they are getting used to it.
Amma just seemed like she was having a very exhausting day. I wish I could reach out to her with huge hugs and cuddles, because she needs them too ❤️❤️❤️
My heart goes out to Amma in this vlog. As a mom myself, seeing her face in the doctors office, when you got a little emotional, her eyes looked so sad. Her love and concern for you is so apparent. I can guarantee you there is nowhere else she’d rather be than with you, supporting you, loving you.

Do they not assign a dietician to you for the type of food to eat?
I hope since they haven't done any treatment, that it hasn't grown because that would mean she has to have more cut out.
I'm by no means a Dr and I know they definitely know what they are doing, it is just something that has been worrying me.
You could see the pain in Amma's face today & from the comments here most people can see this is taking a big toll on her. She didn't look well later in this video. Perhaps your aunt who is a doctor can sit in on a chat or help get a Tamil speaking counsellor & home care service on board. Matt is wonderful although he is the income earner and his physical capacity to be there is limited. Amma is probably grieving and still has a lot of emotions to experience while at the same time providing physical care and love for you. It's a lot. she'll need breaks (whether she likes it or not) and someone to be there for her. "Who nurtures the nurturer?" was something I remember well from my own cancer journey. Prayers and love to you all xxxx
I struggle to eat first thing after waking up, I need at least 2 cups of tea and a shower before I can face food :) I don't get hungry until mid afternoon. It's great to see you so positive. 2 important consutations in one day must be physically and emotionaly draining but 'you've got this' xxx

Does anyone know what day Tiff’s surgery is scheduled for? I haven’t missed an episode. I know that she said that the physicians were hoping to get her in before the 19th. I’d feel so much better knowing that they had an actual date for this procedure.

I can’t comprehend this at all.
It’s about the surgery and what it entails - my main surgeon has already told me what each surgeon will do. I know it all now so when I saw these doctors I already knew what was going to happen because my main surgeon had already told me ☺️ hope this makes sense 💙
If by "news" you mean you want every detail of everything Tiffany's surgeons tell her, that is asking a lot. It is quite personal. Tiffany has been fully informed and that is all that matters.

I always think of Surgeons as artists, they are truly amazing in their abilities.
Tiffany, Will done for keeping up with these daily videos. Please be careful your not doing to much, can you please say more about your surgery. It would be helpful to understand what why and how your surgery is going, l feel in the complete dark, in terms of what’s happening for you. Have you started counselling, you will need some preparation, before your operation. Your mum needs a break she’s shattered, she’s an absolute angel. I love her nonstop take care of yourself and rest up. 💐🎄💛

With having to meet with each doctor to talk about surgery, it makes it more real. Of course Ama is upset and she's tired. Most mom's would be the same way. She is trying to be strong but she is going through emotions too. Some days are going to be better than others. One step at a time they will get through this. I am glad this community is here to give support. There are lots of good people here.

Tiffany, your channel was recommended to me yesterday and so I clicked on it. I'm watching a bunch of your videos while I'm down with the flu and today, a migraine. I paused the video after you asked your precious, incredible, steady and STRONG mother if she was okay because I wanted to tell her that I connect with her mother's heart and I'm so sorry for her pain. I have three grown sons who are your age Tiffany, four-year-old triplet grand-daughters and a two-year-old grandson. I am praying so earnestly for your mom and you and your whole family.

Everyone seems to have their head in the clouds. God forbid she gets covid or the flu at this point. It would be devastating to her survival. Constantly touching her face, eyes, nose and mouth after touching public things. I fear for her safety.

@Laney 26 weeks are flying fast and a lot of delays and wait and see approach for extended time like 12 weeks 13 weeks and I am worried about her eating habits as she drinks hot chocolate eats chocolate and so much sugar and carbs as we mostly learned that sugar feeds cancer cells. I am surprised her drs don’t care about this issue of hers.
Obviously drs are ok with this but in US I believe first thing drs require not to eat or drink sugary food if you have cancer.
So it’s different in UK then what can I say. Delays are normal. Her biopsy was done when ? Probably 2 weeks ago and drs didn’t see them yet 😳😳😳😳
I wonder how long more they will make her wait. Another round of scans and wait for the results bla bla bla.
I think differently that’s all.

Since I retired, I have a lazy breakfast. I have Greek yogurt with a handful of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. A little drizzle of honey and some mixed nuts and I am good to go for quite a few hours. When I worked it was a quick bowl of cereal before the London rush hour. We got this Tiffany. 💙💙💙

Please eat, don’t offer to share your food. Don’t skip meals even if you don’t like breakfast. I am a cancer patient and you will puke if you don’t eat with pain meds. Eating has to be number one and building strength. Sitting in a chair or your bed lifting light weights. I am a cancer patient and my oncologist said eat, eat, eat, and more eat. I had cancer surgery and I don’t mean to to scare you dear but you are so frail. The cancer is is growing and taking your nutrients. You need to eat and try to build some sort of strength. Your life depends on it. And they will remove what they can may not get all and cancer may come back even after surgery. It’s time to fight not pretend this isn’t happening and protecting Matt and your Mother(yes she is sweet) but she will be your care giver with you have a colon bag and possible bladder bad and much much more that is even more intense.
Before my my cancer surgery I did whatever I could not to get sick no large gatherings, use hand gel after public contact and never touching my mouth or face after being in public. You are high risk again for cdiff. Please take more hygiene precautions in public. Your body is way too thin. Please eat steak potatoes, a hearty sandwich without sharing with mom Matt. Drink milk, eat high quality protein fats veggies fruits and whole grains. I just don’t think don’t realize the serious nature of this. I work in healthcare. This surgery is done as a last resort. Please please please inform yourself more. You didn’t even know the type of doc you we’re seeing the second one. You need to educate yourself, I have cancer and I am my own advocate! I trust my doctors but educated myself for after care and such. Don’t leave mom in the dark. You will probably end up with bags on your body for life. They love you. We all do. Educate yourself and your family. You are 30 not a child research and prepare. Life is going to never be the same. It’s ok to grieve be mad and neutral person a counselor can help. Please also see a dietician.
This message may seem harsh but Tiffany your life is really on the line. Even after surgery cancer can and does come back. I know as I have cancer. It’s time to toughen up, eat, and exercise. This surgery is going to be like no other anyone has experienced.

Julie I pray your journey is full of love and healing. Everyone's cancer journey is so different. I just don't think anyone has to talk about bags ect. Tiffany is anxious enough. I think she is serious and learning. I also think she puts on a braver face for us the tiffanythinks family. Julie as you know the fear and anxiety one has in the middle of the night is different than the face we try to put on for others. I do agree you have to be your own advocate. I know you care and it shows.

When my brother had his accident and became paralyzed it was very hard on our parents but they became his caretakers,doing everything and I do mean everything. My Mom learned how to Catheterize him and take care of his wounds. This is what loving parents do and your Mom needs to take care of her girl so let her. ❤️🙏
Tiffany, it is so unfortunate that you have cancer and are going to face this big surgery, but you have so many supporters and prayers each and every day. I tell you what, you have the sweetest mom and boyfriend that love you so much. There are a lot of people who don’t have that kind of support and love. Tiffany, you are so sweet and you will be in my prayers.

When I watch you, I am struck by the amount of love and support you have from Matt and your Amma. This must be so stressful for them, yet they put your wellbeing ahead of everyone else. When are they expecting the biopsy results? I feel that more than enough time has passed for them to be back. Are they doing surgery without the results? Ask, ask, ask! I’m sure doctors mean well but it’s important to keep them on their toes, sweet girl! I love your vlogmas videos. Thank you so much for being a light in a world than can be dark at times. 💙
@Laney 26 she never said the date it’s not booked. They don’t even have access to her scans and biopsy yes they will proceed with the surgery hopefully this year she learned nothing new today.

My entire life (I am 71) I have eaten breakfast - a hard boiled egg, or slice of toast with jam or peanut butter, or cream of rice hot cereal and on the weekends a true proper breakfast of bacon, eggs and hashbrowns.

As a person who lives with cancer, I can tell you that what you eat makes a big difference. Lots of organic vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. No white bread or white rice, or sugary foods. Read a book called "Chris Beat Cancer" about a fellow who overcame GI cancer using diet ( you already have the positive attitude down pat!)
I could not agree more with you. How can you expect life if you are consuming death? As much as I love Tiffany, I feel that her diet of dead processed, mucus forming and acidic food is appalling and cannot benefit her health-wise. Diet makes a huge difference, but doctors will never tell you that.
@@Serendipity-gj2me what are you on about? Tiff cooks fresh food from scratch most of the time. She is allowed to have the odd piece of cake etc sometimes. There’s nothing of her, she is so small. Putting her on a diet of veg, fruit and whole grains will cause even more weight loss. She needs lots of carbs to gain weight.
@@5mini5 I agree. Tiffany seems to eat pretty healthy. My mom did as well (for decades) and she still got colon cancer. Diet can certainly help but you can’t always blame it on someone’s “bad” diet.

It’s amazing how many of us have noticed your mum really struggling in this video. Not sure if she’s like this when the camera is not on. I hope she’s taking care of herself. As for the “surgery world” when you’re in an operating theatre working it’s pretty straight forward most of the time however with a surgery like yours when they’re not sure exactly what to expect it’s not as straightforward

My favorite breakfast is:
fruit, topped with a drizzle of maple syrup, topped with rolled oats and walnuts. Delicious.
In the summer, I shop up a nectarine or a peach.
In the winter, I use berries and maybe some mango and banana.
With the fruit - you get all your vitamins and antioxidants. The rolls provide the fiber (and cleans out your arteries). The walnuts provide the crunch, the healthy fat, and the protein.
Super quick and easy to make. Delicious, nutritious, and filling. Travels well, too. You can even make this the night before and stick it in the fridge.
Is Amma a little sad today? is she alright? maybe i'm being super sensitive, but dear Amma doesn't seem too well 😢 Hope everything is Ok.. Xoxo
