I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. Surgery is so scary. My son had 6 surgeons in on his surgery and it took 14 hours. He was in the hospital 28 days before coming home but it took a good 3 months to recovery from it. All his margins were clean. You can do it!

You can do this! I had my cytoreductive surgery in February. 8 hours, multiple surgeons and the removal of half my abdominal organs. The crazy thing is that in spite of the seriousness of the procedure, recuperation was remarkably quick and there was little lingering pain. The incision was pretty much from stem to stern. 62 staples. It is all so daunting looking towards it but will be over before you know it. Have faith on your team.

Wow!! That is a HUGE surgery! Sooo happy for you that you did so well!! ❤ I'm recovering right now from hip replacement surgery (which is nothing in comparison) - but holy cow has it been painful for the first week (with no opioids - I'm in Portugal and apparently, they are SERIOUS about no opioids for *me* - just anti-inflammatories and paracetamol). I have had serious abdominal surgeries and they *were* easier to recover from (and MUCH less painful) than joint replacements (of which I've now had 4).

Also I was thinking when I was listening to you I just read some thing the other day regarding all natural and cancer. Science pretty much shows that that’s not the way to go unless you continue as you said you were going to with your traditional medical treatment. They had a study and the numbers were very very different. And I really want you to be around a very long time so I know chemo and everything else have to be so hard, but the study show from what I was reading that you can have much better results when you use the natural methods along with whatever your doctor is telling you. Please don’t ever completely go away from the doctor because I said you need to be around a long time you’ve got so much more life to live. Much love

Hi Tiffany. Hang in there. You're doing so well. I just finished radiology and did chemo before that. I have colon cancer, Stage 3. It was predicted I would have to have a colostomy. I'm 63. I found a surgeon at Sloan Kettering in New York who has pioneered no surgery. Just waiting to see if radiation did the job. My chemo was very successful. I decided at the onset of treatment that I would decide not to be worried, keep a positive attitude, do everything I could to make the treatment as successful as possible. It really was amazing how I changed my attitude. I am prone to depression. I went on generic Zoloft, an antidepressant. I also got a therapist and he is amazing.
It is easier for an older person. I lucky to have lived this long. It's hard sometimes to accept what will happen.
I wish you best of luck. A positive outlook is important. And humor! You seem to have both. Thank you for sharing. You are helping other people. I also talked with someone who went through the same thing which helped at the beginning. Cheers!!!

Tiffany, I’ve been suffering from neuropathy in my feet since 2007. I just want to share that you are feeling your feet because you are walking. The numbness won’t interfere with your driving at all. Mine feel numb, but they know where the peddles are with no issues. I do recommend that you massage them yourself everyday as well as going to this place. It probably won’t make a difference in the nerve damage, but it will help desensitize them. Exercise/stretch your feet daily also. It has helped me out immensely. A doctor just told me recently that neuropathy can cause micro fractures in your feet, so be careful with standing or walking for long periods.

  • @mzurilovebeautyfragranceslove

I’m glad to hear you talking about holistic routes and therapies also I’m glad to hear you talking about diets, meat free and dairy free is a great discipline as it stops the build of mucus. Mucinous carcinoma is an invasive type of cancer that begins in an internal organ that produces mucin, the primary ingredient of mucus. The abnormal cells inside this type of tumor are floating in the mucin, and the mucin becomes a part of the tumor.
Wishing you well and stay focused on the diet change. It will change the way you think also. It’s the little changes that seem so hard to do not the beginning, but you’ve got to be consistent. I notice people don’t really say this in your comments but I feel in my heart to tell you this. I hope you read this and know I’m not pushing my opinions I genuinely care Tiffany x

Hugs to you Tiffany. I went through 20 weeks of chemo and read putting my feet and hands in ice during the infusion could help. It keeps your extremities cold enough that the chemo drugs don't go to your feet and hands as readily. I did that, got some weird looks from the nurses, but after the 5 months they were amazed at the outcome. I know it's later in your treatment, but it might help these last few chemo sessions. Also, 6 yrs later I have had 2 moments when I felt neuropathy in my feet and hands. Taking very high quality Vit B1, B12 helped immensely. B vitamins really make a difference with nerve damage. I'm praying for strength and courage for your surgery. You're not alone, we all care so much and are praying for you!

The dramas have many 'chapters' or episodes, anywhere from 16 to 30, and last about an hour each. Oftentimes they have beautiful music soundtracks and gorgeous scenery. Every drama, like a book has a beginning and an ending....they don't carry on endlessly. So many to choose from....my most recent, 'Crash Landing onto You'. Hi Tiffany, I just came across your channel, and applaud how open and honest you are, yet still keeping a positive outlook. My husband is currently undergoing treatment for Stage IV Colorectal cancer, with metastisis to his liver. He is doing well, thank God!, but one of his most chronic complaints with chemo is lack of body tempature regulation and how it effects his sleep. He was always a very sound sleeper and now he cannot sleep through the night. His surgery was 12.5hrs, so I understand your fears. Please don't dwell on what you can't control at this point. You need your strength to battle the cancer. My prayers for you and your family. My God Bless YOU!!

I’d give anything to get along with my sister like you do yours. It’s really special that you’re friends. I have a feeling you’re not as good as you pretend to be. First, not sleeping can be traumatizing the anxiety and then worry is really hard to deal with. It really is torture. Secondly, I think you’re in more pain than you’re letting on. I’m praying for you if I could share the days of life I have left I swear I’d give some to you. Never ran in to a person as genuinely nice and kind as you, Seriously. 🌈🙏🏻❤️

I look forward to your neuropathy treatment updates Tiffany.
I too have feet neuropathy, it's not pleasant at all. I have a special physio disk with spikes on it, made of rubber or dome synthetic stuff. It's to help with the nerve sensations in the feet. You place it underfoot whilst sitting or standing. For about 5 minutes or so a day. No pain, just helps to desensitise the nerves in the feet. There's nothing like icy cold, burning footsies complete with pins and needles, numbness and stabbing pain...ouch!
I too want it to improve or go away completely. Best wishes for your treatments. I think attitude is also a big part of it. I approach holistic treatments with hope and gratitude. 🙏

My darling Tiffany, I found that surgery was a piece of cake when compared to chemo and radiation. I know you are shocked at the moment, but when it sinks in, you will realise that you have reached the goal you have been working towards. So, for now, just complete your chemo, and from there just look forward to getting rid of the cancer. . For me, it was a life saver. My favourite film, and that of my late husband, is “As good as it Gets”. I still watch it as my escape route, at times when I am missing him. I wish I could adopt you and your wonderful family. My love is with you always, your friend Marilyn xxx👵🌹🌈💥

These surgeons knows what they are doing, have the confidence all will go well, yes it’s always scary going into surgery but I’m sure all will go well……..but it the best to have it removed, look at it as as means of getting raid of this cancer.

I’ve tried acupuncture and that didn’t do anything and I’ve tried never medication but ai couldn’t continue taking it as it made me feel terrible. I felt like I was sea sick on a boat. It was awful.

Tiffany, when I was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, one of my chemo nurses suggested 600-900 mg/day of alpha lipoic acid as a supplement. It supports nerve conduction. Takes a month or so before you are aware, but please research it. It’s so easy to take and I never had neuropathy in my fingers or feet. It was important to me because I love to knit! My oncologist was aware and said it wouldn’t interfere with any chemo drugs. Of course, do your own research, but it can’t hurt! I still take it w en though it’s been over 3 years since my chemo ended. Stay strong, warrior princess….. We got this!💙

I fully understand the anxiety and worry and everything else. I had major cancer surgery to my abdomen 20 years ago. I was told they removed everything in my cavity, put it all on a table next to me and only put about half back. I was a lot younger then but still older than you and I bounced back fairly quickly - you'll be surprised! The first week will be a bit tough but you'll start markedly feeling better each day. You'll be okay and get this behind you! Hugs to you Tiffany!

DOSTARLIMAB has been used during current trials in the USA ,wherein other all chemo and radiation have failed to shrink it. The new drug made the tumors disappear completely. They were awaiting invasive lengthy surgery like Tiffany is about to have , but they weren't necessary because the tumors completely disappeared after treatment with the new experimental/trial drug. I wish Tiffany could/would join that study and just see if it could reduce hers to smaller areas that could make her surgery easier. I just want her to have tried everything that's out there before going through the surgery. I want the best for her, whatever that is.

I had numb feet and what felt like elephant legs if you can relate :) I also had tingling in my feet. I can really recommend massage!! & years on i really do feel this not only helped at the time. But stops long term side effects of the neuropathy. Dont do just one treatment though. I used to go every week if i could. It felt so good! Just to feel them pushing on the pressure points.
