I love how so many rock guitarists get themselves into contorted postures, yet can’t seem to get the sound out. EC just lays it down. Pure. Simply the best.
EC has been my favorite artist for over 40 years … I’ve seen him live many many times … and I’ve seen many great guitar players in my life … EVH … Peter Green …Alvin Lee … Robin Trower …BB King …etc … and he is the best I’ve ever seen ….. when he WANTS to play … I’ve seen many mediocre shows from him too … but when he really wants to play … he’s slice and dice your soul to pieces …with fewer notes than anyone … he is touched my magic 🪄 🎸
Absolutely stunning. Seen him so many times, his secret surely is that what’s in his soul comes out in his playing…..and gets right to the core of OUR souls. So many hair standing, goosebump moments.
My favourite and where I think Eric was at his best is Derek&the Dominos. Not only because Layla. He's playing so powerful. When I listened that CD it blowed my mind away. And also at the Filmmore CD is he really great.Just listen 'Have You Ever Loved A Woman' or 'Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad' or 'Blues Power' then you know what I mean.
Clapton at his best. Too bad the sound and picture isn't better. This is one of Clapton's favorite blues tunes and it shows by the passion he puts into it. This is an Otis Rush masterpiece that Eric performs with as much soul and feeling as Otis does.
This version is in D minor. Just use your D minor pentatonic blues scale. Most of the earlier versions he played in 70s were in C minor but he plays it in D minor these days.
wow ists in Dminor, i know it in Cminor. But the new Version with stevie einwood is in Dminor too. its incredeble, i love Eric so much. He is a incredible singer and the best Guitar Player ever. But, jimmy page, jeff back, gary Moore, Mr. Monte Montgomery, Tommy Emmanuel.. are very good. But nobody, NOBODY is so good like our Eric. We all love him so much. he is my hero. My absolutly hero
@bluesking17 and others: Just try it out ;) Most times Eric plays in a relative simple pentatonic scale. All you have to do is slide around your neck to find the right key :)
Nothing wrong with psychedelic but it ain't blues. Sean Costello is the definition of blues and soul. Guitar unmatched. Vocals raw and deep. Unfortunately he died young and never got the exposure he deserved.
The top. The elite. The best, hands down. never imitated, never equaled.
Clapton. The last word.
this is feel cream's play like childish. 90's eric is far better than cream.
From the Cradle tour in middle 90's was, in my opinion, the best Clapton period. What a voice, what a guitar playing. Pure blues power.

This is 100% PURE. It really does not get any better than this, amazing singer, amazing man and the greatest player on earth.
hes making that guitar cry and sing this is best version of this song ive seen of eric awesome
Just one man one guitar. What a song. Mind blowing
He has achieved greatness in every decade he has been playing guitar it would be almost impossible to say which is best
He is the Supreme Being of Guitar Playing. Forever and ever ...
Clapton was fantastic during Cream for sure. But in my opinion this is up there with any of his best stuff, and I've heard a ton of it.
Absolutely stunning. Seen him so many times, his secret surely is that what’s in his soul comes out in his playing…..and gets right to the core of OUR souls. So many hair standing, goosebump moments.
Jaw-dropping, mind-blowing, this is so magnificent !!!
what a guitar player what a singer what a musician
jeez. magnificent

WOW!!! I always thought the version from "Just One Night" was the best, but in this one he's on fire. Some of his best work ever> Thanks for posting.
Clapton was on during this song, really on. This version of the song gives me chills, and I'm sad that I don't have this as an mp3.
Pure genius 🎸
Eric the love of my life😊great performence😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh Lawd ! I'm simply speechless wOw !! Nothin but The Blues Tour.. saw it at The Omni in Atlanta, Ga. ..2 and half hours of sheer bliss !!
Amazing rendition of the Otis Rush song. One of Erics best solos, also like the one with Steve Winwood too.Untouchable player in blues.
The guitar is beautiful, Eric. I suspect it might be one of those in the Hall of Fame. I'm following this song. Love you ....
I agree with those 3 dislikes...real music critics there. Doesn't compare with Justin Timberlake, right?
Was at this show and remember this great moment.
Yeahh nice album love it
Listen to that tone..beautiful
To many effects!!!!!!This song is so incredible. I love the version from "just one night"

He's wonderful, isn't he?
On this classic he is smoking and blows everything else away

Awesome is all I can say
Magnifico...
WOW!!!!
Excellent song - Clapton pours himself into this tune. Otis Rush, right?
What tour/year? Is this version available on a cd or dvd?
yes he is
I´m not really a Clapton -fan , but i totally agree !
someone had fun with the video editing on this one.

Love both, but the MSG one is like a 5 alarm fire. Check both out. :)
God is playing
Wow, can´t believe my ears
MSG 2008 I should clarify, Eric with Steve Winwood.
Who"s in his band during this performance?
the drunkards yelling are cracking me the hell up. But hey, I'd probably be doing the same thing at a Clapton concert in 1995!
@bluesking17 and others: Just try it out ;) Most times Eric plays in a relative simple pentatonic scale. All you have to do is slide around your neck to find the right key :)
Geez - I guess, this is how it was meant to be. I mean . . . when the world was created.
cela tranche l ame laissant penetrer la presence de l eternel
And why doesn't work that video?
nice pants
May be...
Is he using that teeny tiny tweed amp in the back????
There are doubled Fender Tweed Twin Amps.
Heck of an amp. Resurrected his sound to this day
Excellent. But I still like the version with Winwood better!
that as a bit of an annoying video edit, but i liked the music :)
Is that eno on keyboards lol
rory gallagher?
No this is Eric Clapton.
@tappannie doesn't sound psychedelic at all to me. Isn't blues? Not sure what you're listening to here, bud.
More psychedelic than blues. Check out Sean Costello's many versions. They are the real deal, crazy brilliant and smoking hot.
Clapton was at his best in cream, this isnt even close to some of his best stuff.
Ur crazy!! He wasn't playing like this in Cream!!
Ruined by all that stupid messing on with the camera zooming in out & all over the place.
Nothing wrong with psychedelic but it ain't blues. Sean Costello is the definition of blues and soul. Guitar unmatched. Vocals raw and deep. Unfortunately he died young and never got the exposure he deserved.
